Cyan ( /ˈsaɪ.ən/ or /ˈsaɪ.æn/; from Greek: κύανoς, transliterated: kýanos, meaning "dark blue substance") may be used as the name of any of a number of colors in the blue/green range of the spectrum. In reference to the visible spectrum cyan is used to refer to the color obtained by mixing equal amounts of green and blue light or the removal of red from white light. As such, cyan is the complement of red in RGB and CMYK color models: cyan pigments absorb red light.
Cyan is also called aqua or blue-green, and was formerly known as "cyan blue".
The first recorded use of cyan blue (as noted above, "cyan blue" was the name used for the color "cyan" in the 19th century) as a color name in English was in 1879.
Some tones of color close to cyan in the cyan color range are teal, turquoise, electric blue and aquamarine.
The vivid cyan that is seen on an electronic display device (shown at right) is also referred to as electric cyan to distinguish it from the less vivid turquoise blue-like process cyan used in CMYK color printing (shown below). (Note: while the color is defined by definite RGB values, the display of the color will vary depending on the absolute color space used and the nature of the physical display device, e.g. computer monitor, and if this page is printed it is likely that the color shown will be far from representative.)

An angel descends to Earth - intending to learn what it is like to live as a human being. While on Earth, this spirit becomes involved in terrorism, drug deals, and pornography. Chemicals used in a new super-bomb are to be melted down in VHS tape shells and secretly shipped out of the U.S. as part of a porn film deal. Overseas, the porno tapes will be melted down again so that the chemicals can be extracted and used for mass destruction. The angel wants to stop these evils, though it is the law of the angels to not interfere in human history. The angel jumps from one human host to another, sinking deeper and deeper into the nightmare, becoming more involved. See the man on the black top highway
Moving to no man's land
All alone on the black top highway
Moving just as fast as he can
Ridin' thumb, ridin' thumb
Left his home down in Macon, Georgia
Left the shade of an old oak tree, tree
Got his dreams in his left front pocket
Got his eyes squinted towards the sea
Ridin' thumb, ridin' thumb
He don't care where the wind blows
Just as long as he gets his ride
And he don't care for food and water
Just lets his conscience be his guide
Ridin' thumb
Left his sisters and mama crying
Beggin' him not to leave that day
Said he'd write but they knew he was lying
Got no razor, got no blade
Ridin' thumb, ridin' thumb
