A dollhouse is a toy home, made in miniature. For the last century, dollhouses have primarily been the domain of children but their collection and crafting is also a hobby for many adults. The term dollhouse is common in the United States and Canada. In UK usage, dolls' house or dollshouse is common.
Today's dollhouses trace their history back about four hundred years to the baby house display cases of Europe, which showed idealized interiors. Smaller doll houses with more realistic exteriors appeared in Europe in the 18th century. Early dollhouses were all handmade, but following the Industrial Revolution and World War II, they were increasingly mass produced and became more standardized and affordable.
Contemporary children's play dollhouses are mostly in 1:18 (or 2/3") scale, while 1:12 (or 1") scale is common for dollhouses made for adult collectors.
Miniature homes, furnished with domestic articles and resident inhabitants, both people and animals, have been made for thousands of years. The earliest known examples were found in the Egyptian tombs of the Old Kingdom, created nearly five thousand years ago. These wooden models of servants, furnishings, boats, livestock and pets placed in the Pyramids almost certainly were made for religious purposes.
Henrik Ibsen (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈhɛnɾɪk ˈɪpsən]; 20 March 1828 – 23 May 1906) was a major 19th-century Norwegian playwright, theatre director, and poet. He is often referred to as "the father of prose drama" and is one of the founders of Modernism in the theatre. His major works include Brand, Peer Gynt, An Enemy of the People, Emperor and Galilean, A Doll's House, Hedda Gabler, Ghosts, The Wild Duck, Rosmersholm, and The Master Builder.
Several of his plays were considered scandalous to many of his era, when European theater was required to model strict mores of family life and propriety. Ibsen's work examined the realities that lay behind many façades, revealing much that was disquieting to many contemporaries. It utilized a critical eye and free inquiry into the conditions of life and issues of morality. The poetic and cinematic play Peer Gynt, however, has strong surreal elements.
Ibsen is often ranked as one of the truly great playwrights in the European tradition. Richard Hornby describes him as "a profound poetic dramatist—the best since Shakespeare". He influenced other playwrights and novelists such as George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, and Eugene O'Neill. Many critics consider him the greatest playwright since Shakespeare.
Jane Fonda (born Lady Jayne Seymour Fonda; December 21, 1937) is an American actress, writer, political activist, former fashion model, and fitness guru. She rose to fame in the 1960s with films such as Barbarella and Cat Ballou. She has won two Academy Awards and received several other movie awards and nominations during more than 50 years as an actress. After 15 years of retirement, she returned to film in 2005 with Monster in Law, followed by Georgia Rule two years later. She also produced and starred in over 20 exercise videos released between 1982 and 1995, and once again in 2010.
Fonda has been an activist for many political causes; her opposition to the Vietnam War and associated activities were controversial. She has also protested the Iraq War and violence against women. She describes herself as a liberal and a feminist. In 2005, Fonda worked alongside Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem to co-found the Women's Media Center, an organization that works to amplify the voices of women in the media through advocacy, media and leadership training, and the creation of original content. Fonda currently serves on the board of the organization. Since 2001, Fonda has been a Christian. She published an autobiography in 2005, and in 2011, she published a second memoir, Prime Time.
It was a day like this and my house burnt down
And the walls were thin and they crashed to the ground
It was a day like this and my life unwound
You could've struck me a line and that's okay now
We could always put it together again
You could've told me a lie, and a lie so thin, so thin
Now everything's clear
Day after day and the life goes on
And I try to see the good in everyone
If I ever find myself here again
You're too young
You're just too young
To be hateful
You're too young
To be fearful
Forceful, hurtful, cynical, faithful, careful, thoughtful
You're just too young to understand the reason why
But when you grow, grow, grow, grow, grow, grow
You can be like me
You can be like me
You can be like me
And everybody
For I am too old
But I am too old
To be graceful
I am too old
To be wishful
Playful, youthful, sinful, harmful, useful, boastful
I am too old to understand the reason why
But when I grow, grow, grow, grow, grow, grow
I can be like you
I wanna be like you
I wanna be like you!
1 2 3 4 Whatever happened to good music? You know in the days when you could feel it?
It was almost sexual, sending shivers up your spine. This, I believe is
because songwriters were not restricted by the small music dictatorship which
now exists. Let's hope the future holds something better than the present and
let's leave the past alone. The music business is incapable of bringing music
to the future, as it sits just waiting to pounce on any third rate trend,
milking it to death, once again putting money where the music is not. I only
wish I was born before all the great ideas were used. While I struggle to
working around this, the most annoying thing is watching other people succeed
through stealing them. I could have been a legend in my own time; I could
have sold a lot of records; I could have enjoyed it as well. I could have
been a lot of things. One thing that I know I am and will always be: I am the
greatest.
I bumped into this bloke the other day we used to know in school. We didn't
say 'hello' because he had his hair slightly perked and I had all mine shaved
off. He was always a bit of a clown. He used to be a hard man, but he did
his homework, because he knew that one day he'd be going places. I knew I
should have asked him there and then 'was he happy now that he'd finally got
there?' He goes to bed thinking of ways to fiddle ten more pounds on his
expenses. Me? I go to bed thinking of all the reasons why I am the greatest.
We always use other people as the mirror in which we judge ourselves. So, we
are constantly changing to meet their expectations. Maybe we've forgotten the
meaning of the word 'individual.' It's as if everything we do or think is
valued for its conformity. Anything fresh or original is hacked down and
always brought down to size. You don't even think for yourself, as a life
that is led for you is some kind of problem. You wouldn't recognize a new
idea if it spat in your face and screamed out [?]. Who am I to
talk? Who the hell do I think I am? I am the greatest.
Welcome to the wonderful world of show business. The dark and dank place
rarely lit by the harsh light of reality. I look around and I see big
mouthed rock stars with opinions on everything and answers to nothing.
Burnt out old men with money to burn. Bandwagons full of bands with
sycophantic fans with no lives of their own. A place where image is king and
music is a poorer relation that I can relate to. I am the greatest.
I am the greatest.
Just because my world is different to yours
My hopes and dreams are just what they should be
Just becasue my thoughts are different to yours
I can hear you
Talk about me
Laughing at me
I have nothing to be ashamed of
Just because my love is difficult for you
How long will it take
For you to understand me
Just because your life is uninspired to me
You won't hear me
Talk about you
Laughing at you
I have nothing to be ashamed of
Ashamed of
Ashamed of
I am afraid of the dark
I am afraid of the day
I am afraid to walk outside
And of what people say
I am afraid to drink too much
Because of what I might do
I am afraid to speak my mind
And of being ridiculed
It's not that I'm not strong
It's just that I'm not strong enough for you
It's not that I'm not brave
It's just that I'm not brave enough for you
I am afraid to be unloved
I am afraid to be forsaken
I am afraid of doing wrong
And to never be forgiven
I am afraid that you will find
I'm not the man you think I am
I am afraid to be on my own
And of the unknown
(chorus)
Ever since I
Was a small child
I can not sleep at night
Without the light on
I am afraid to laugh out loud
Or to stand out of the crowd
I am scared of loving you
I am scared to lose you
I am afraid to lose control
I am afraid of growing old
I am afraid to die
But it's something I must do
It's not that I'm not strong
It's just that I'm not strong enough for you
It's not that I'm not brave
Touch the Virgin Mary
Say another rosary
Follow in the Lenten procession
Cleanse yourself with confession
Have another novena
In the month of November
Open your eyes and see
Light a penny candle
Light a faithful candle
Light a faithful candle
Light a hopeless candle
And see through our blind faith
Have another vigil
As an act of good will
Pray to a statue
That's covered in gold
Pray for our forgiveness
Pray for our souls
Open your eyes and see
(chorus)
Nine long months you've spent thinking of me
And all the following years
Spent between the laughter and tears
Self-denial you gave, too good to shout it out loud
There's a second love, but blood is thicker than skin
I'll always be grateful
I'll always be grateful
I'll always be grateful
For you
And the man's done his best with those old-fashioned ways
And I know you've tried hard, I can see it in your face
If I had of known then what I could have known now
I hate to patronize and even more I hate to criticize
(chorus)
I must be painfully dull to do what I have done
By not showing love to those people that I love
But, still you accept what I've done proving time and time again
That someday I realize, but by then it's all too late
(chorus)
Just because my world is different to yours
My hopes and dreams are just what they should be
Just becasue my thoughts are different to yours
I can hear you
Talk about me
Laughing at me
I have nothing to be ashamed of
Just because my love is difficult for you
How long will it take
For you to understand me
Just because your life is uninspired to me
You won't hear me
Talk about you
Laughing at you
I have nothing to be ashamed of
Ashamed of
It's just the way
When you smile you're laughing
And 24 flowers is not a bouquet
And 24 hours is not a week-end
Oh you'll probably never know
Kick me again Jesus
Kick me again
Kick me again Jesus
Kick me again
It's just the way
When you throw your arms around me
How many dreams must I awake to?
How many arms must I fall into?
Oh you'll probably never know
Kick me again Jesus
Kick me again
Kick me again Jesus
Kick me again
It's just the way
When you paint that picture of me
While I'm painting romance you're painting no chance
I'll still spend hours thinking of you
Oh you'll probably never know
Kick me again Jesus
Kick me again
Kick me again Jesus
Kick me again
Kick
If I were rain
You could watch the colours bleed
If I were time
We could go to where we're happy
If I were tease
Every evening we'd die laughing
I am love
I am love
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love never is
If I were words
I would turn a phrase of you
If I were star
The sky-like eye would open
If I were the sea
A wave from you might drown me
I am love
I am love
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love never is
Love, love is everywhere
Every day
Every way
She's got a mind of her own
Love is bigger than me
Bigger than you so
Just let in in and stop thinking to yourself that
I am love
I am love
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Love is not not good enough (love is..)
Call in the bellringer
Call in the preacher
Call out the army
Call out the government warning
Love of the eighties
Love, love of the eighties
Call out the science man
And give him the poor hand
Call out the advertising campaign
And the media and the press, because
Love of the eighties
Babe, you're driving me mad
If you drive any faster, I'm dead
I've bent over backwards, bent upside down
The bags under my eyes
Try to understand
You owe me that much
Take me to the love quarry
Take me to the love quarry
Babe, what do I have to do
There's got to be a way to impress you
Fast cars, fast holidays, fast lights
Is that what you want
You can't see further than your next ambition
You're a mental acrobat with [?] addiction
Take me to the love quarry
Take me to the love quarry
Cutie pie
I can call you that
Can't I
Now that we're lovers
Piling on the agony
Playing violins to unfinished symphonies
Take me to the love quarry
Take me to the love quarry
Why don't you take, take, take, take me to the love quarry
You stay in (night after night)
You're a prisoner in your own home (night after night)
You know how it feels to be lonely (night after night)
All you have to hold on to is your memories (night after night)
But, tonight, take my hand
Tonight, take my hand
And dance with me
Hold me and make me proud
You go home (night after night)
You know how to feel sorry for yourself (night after night)
Crawl into bed on your own (night after night)
All you have to look forward to is your dreams (night after night)
But, tonight, take my hand
And tonight, take my hand
And dance with me
Hold me and make me proud
Don't you understand? (You're beautiful)
Why can't you believe? (You're beautiful)
Put on your new frock (You're beautiful)
And some soft make-up (You're beautiful)
And tonight, take my hand
Tonight, take my hand
And dance with me
Promise me, you'll make me proud
You'll make me proud
You give me inspiration
You give me love
My little lighthouse
And the brilliant things that you do
I think I could like you
Yes, we could walk for awhile
Or simple talk for awhile
We could watch a video show
Or catch a picture show, don't you know
We could shower, put on a change of clothes
And go where everyone goes
We could stay in
Get a cheap bottle of wine and dine
You give me inspiration
You give me love
My little lighthouse
And the brilliant things that you do
I think I could like you
We could go where the wind blows o'er your hair
As it blows, watch it show the sky, the sky is much darker now
But you wouldn't like that, no, you wouldn't like that
And if I could see out, I wouldn't have to shout
There's no need to pout
You give me inspiration
You give me love
My little lighthouse
And the brilliant things that you do
I think I could like you
We could take a weekend away
Do holiday things, get drunk and fall down
And no aspirations you hold
No heart made of gold, tell things just as they're told
So let me tell you now there's no silver lining
There's those that don't want to see
And the story so far rings like a shotgun in your head
You give me inspiration
You give me love
My little lighthouse
And the brilliant things that you do
I'm nervous around you
I am what you are
I am mad about you
I am what you are
So near, and far away
From what you want.
I am what you are
I'm there when you call me
I am who you know
I follow your shadow
I am what you see
I am what I think you want me to be
I am what you are
So near, and far away
She keeps me down
She keeps me humble
She keeps me down down down
She keeps me humble
She keeps me from losing my head
Keeping my head
She keeps me down
Down in the ground
I'm not uptight
But she's not around
She keeps me down.
I'm nervous around you
I am what you are
I am mad about you
I am what you are
So near, and far away
From what you need.
I am bought and sold
Body and soul
With no guarantees
Of her loving me
I wish she could try
Or just leave me be
I am what you are
So near, and far away
She keeps me down
She keeps me humble
She keeps me down down down
She keeps me humble
She keeps me from losing my head
Keeping my head
She puts me down
Down in the ground
I'm not uptight
But she's not around
She keeps me down.
She keeps me down
She keeps me humble
She keeps me down down down
She keeps me humble
She keeps me from losing my head
Keeping my head
She keeps me down
Down in the ground
I'm not uptight
But she's not around
And the smell of the flowers
And the sweet cool air
Makes me feel like thinking
There must he somebody up there
And the sound of the sea
And the way it frightens me
And the howling wind
Steeped in mystery
It sends shivers, shivers
Up my spine
Up my spine
And the fear of silence
I keep on hearing things
And the fear of getting too high
I feel like jumping off
And the fear of darkness
I keep on seeing things
And the things I can't see, see, see
Scares the living daylights out of me
It sends shivers, shivers
Up my spine
Up my spine
But the one thing that gets me every time
Hardest to conceive
Is when you see, see, see, see
What man can be
Seeing is believing, hearing is frightening
Man, man, man, man and the evil within
Stupidity, inhumanity, ignorance and cruelty
Shivers, it sends shivers, shivers
Up my spine
Up my spine
And the smell of the flowers
And the way they are withering
And the one thing that frightens me
Is hearing
Is seeing
I want to go home
I want to go home
I want to go home
I want to go home, home, home
I want to go home
I want to go home
I want to go home
I want to go home, home, home
Home
Home
I remember when
You treated me kind
And the time was spent
Under the ????? we swore
But you loved me then
You left behind
I remember you
Forever and the day you lie
I will never forget you
I will never forgive you
I would never forsake you
I would never forgive you
For giving me
The best days of my life so far
For showing me
The best days of my life so far
Then taking them
Away
I recall the day
The tears to my eyes
I remember that
Was the day I laid down and died
I spend my time
Just pinning away
Nothing else to do
Before this misery
I will never forget you
I will never forgive you
I would never forsake you
I would never forgive you
For giving me
The best days of my life so far
For showing me
The best days of my life so far
Then taking them
Why do you treat me so cruel
Take it easy on me
Take it easy on me
Why must you always disapprove
Take it easy on me
Take it easy on me
What have I ever done to you
Take it easy on me
Take it easy on me
For if you keep on pushing me
I'll lose my grip on reality
If you treat me delicately
I will last forever
So put me up on your pedestal
All you have to do is love me, baby
Don't make me look like a fool
Take it easy on me
Take it easy on me
Don't build me up then knock me down
Take it easy on me
Take it easy on me
Don't think I don't know you get around
Take it easy on me
Take it easy on me
Oh what have you got that I have loved
What can they give you that I can not
Do the blinkers from your eyes
See through their disguise
If you get worn and abused
You'll be back to me
Won't you baby
Once again you will promise that you
You will always wear kid gloves
You will promise me that you
You will give me the whole world
You will promise me that you
You will treat me like you should
Don't build me up then knock me down
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Don't think I don't know you get around
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Don't make me look like your clown
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Take it ... take it easy
I don't believe you
I can't understand you
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Take it ... take it easy
How can I believe you this time
Why should this time be any different than the others
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Take it ... take it easy
So go on then
Crawl back to the others and see if they will have you
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Take it ... take it easy
For the first time in my life
I feel like ... really good
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Take it ... take it easy
Go on then, on your bike
Good Luck to you.
Take it easy on me
Make it easy on yourself
Mind you don't fall
Around the corner
These things
These things
Have to be said
As long as I
Have a breath
Left in me
As long as you
Don't believe
That I
Never
Never
Loved you
Ever
That's why these things
These things
Have never been said
I thought that you knew
Now I'm not so sure
And wonder did you
Think that I
Never
Never
Loved you
Ever
That's why these things
These things
These things
Ooooooo!
Ooooooo!
Ooooooo!
It's been a long time since rock and roll
It all sounds good but it's filled with holes
It's been a long time since the seventies
Nowadays everyone's taking themselves too seriously
So if you believe in make believe
Then you can make yourself believe in me
Here come the good times
Here come the good times
Here come the good times
For a change
For a change
It's been a long time since I've heard you laugh
It's been a long time since I've seen you smile
It's been a long time since our wide-eyed dreams
The closer we get to them the less they mean
It takes a long time for the scars to heal
Why won't you tell me how you feel
Here come the good times
Here come the good times
Here come the good times
For a change
For a change
Wooooooooo!
Wooooooooo!
Wooooooooo!
Where have all the good times gone
Where have they all gone
It's good to see you laugh again
It's good to see you smile again (Ha! Ha! Ha!)
It's good to see you laughing one more time
Cos here come the good times
Here come the good times
Here come the good times
For a change
It makes a nice change
It's good to see you
It's good to see you smile
It's good to see you
It's good to see you laugh
It's good to see you
It's good to see you talk
It's good to see you
It's good to see you laugh
It's good to see you smiling one more time
(Here come the good times)
For a change for a change
(Here come the good times)
Merry Christmas baby!
Here come the good times for a change!

Why are we never happy with what we've got?
Have you ever been curious?
Why do we try to be something that we're not?
Have you ever been curious?
Why do we keep all our feelings inside?
I've always been curious.
Do we know where to go when we're lost
When we do we die
When we don't we hide?
Have you ever been curious?
What is love?
Is it real?
Or is just a dream?
What is love?
Why are we ashamed to say what's on our minds?
Have you ever been curious?
Why do we make a mess of things time and time again?
Have you ever been curious?
Why do we spend our lives loving what we hate?
I've always been curious?
And when we die do we go to the great big party in the sky?
I've always been curious.
What is love?
Is it real?
Or is just a dream?
What is love?
I can't tell you what you want to hear.
Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me.
What is love?
How does it work?
Have you never been curious?
What is love?
How does it work?
Have you never been curious?
What is love?
How does it work?
Have you never been curious?
What is love?
How does it work?
Have you never been curious?
What is love?
How does it work?
Have you never been curious?
What is love?
How does it work?
Have you never been curious?
What is love?
How does it work?
Why me?
Why me?
This is a cruel and ruthless world
This is our world
This is everyone for themselves where bigger dogs eat smaller dogs over lunch
Where there's always someone younger, cheaper and better than you
It's a game
In order to survive you must play
To succeed you must cheat
If you do you do not have the right to feel hard done by
If you don't you'll spend the rest of your life wondering why
Why me?
Why me indeed...
I ordered everything that my eyes could see
But you don't see the pitfalls when you're blinded by greed
I ordered things I could never afford
But I got much more than I bargained for
If I hadn't gone too far
If I didn't want to much
If I hadn't pushed too hard
Things could have been different for me
If I hadn't gone too far
If I didn't want to much
If I hadn't pushed too hard
Things could have been different for me
Sometimes our expectations are far too high
And we lead ourselves to believe that that love should be indestructible
When in fact love is the one thing that can completely destroy us
We think that we deserve to get more out than were willing to put in
We demand honesty, openness and loyalty
Which is more than we can bear live up to
So when love falls apart we feel that we're the only person in the world
this have ever happened to
Why me?
Why me indeed?
I took a chance and died in your arms
When you took me in and you smothered me with your charms
I bit off more than I could possibly chew
And I'd eaten my fill and was devoured by you
Why me indeed...
I ordered everything that my eyes could see
But you don't see the pitfalls when you're blinded by greed
I ordered things I could never afford
But I got much more than I bargained for
If I hadn't gone too far
If I didn't want to much
If I hadn't pushed too hard
Things could have been different for me
If I hadn't gone too far
If I didn't want to much
If I hadn't pushed too hard
Things could have been different for me
We cannot bear to admit defeat
We cannot take the pain
We are prepared to take the risks
And bask in the glory of our own success
We are not prepared to wallow in the depths of our inadequacies
So we look for someone else to blame
Why me indeed...
I took a chance and died in your arms
When you took me in and you smothered me with your charms
I bit off more than I could possibly chew
When I'd eaten my fill, I was devoured by you
Why me indeed...
I ordered everything that my eyes could see
But you don't see the pitfalls when you're blinded by greed
I ordered things I could never afford
But I got much more than I bargained for
If I hadn't gone too far
If I didn't want to much
If I hadn't pushed too hard
Things could have been different for me
Get get on up
Get get on down
I can see your face
It looks like mine
No need to paint your face white
No need for a suntan
Put your head on the tracks
Closer, closer, closer, closer, closer, closer, close
I can see the light
Steel on steel, steel on steel, steel on steel, steel on steel, steel on
steel, steel
Here comes the train, train, train, train
Watch out you're dead
Train, train, train, train
Watch out your dead
Train, train, train, train
Watch out you're dead
Get, get on up
Get, get back down again
I can see your church, it looks like mine
No need for a protest, what we need is a prospect
Put your head on the tracks
Closer, closer, closer, closer, closer, closer, close
I can see the light
Steel on steel, steel on steel, steel on steel, steel on steel, steel on
What gives you the right to stick your hand in my pocket
I've worked hard for my things, you just can't take them
You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you cry like an animal from the pack
And I never, ever said it was fair and I can't see the point in talking to you
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I didn't ask you here, this weight that I'm feeling
Two wrongs might make this right, revenge is fleeting
I call like an animal with an instinct
And contempt springs to mind when I think of what used to mine
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I want to kill something
I love you

Don't tell me
I don't want to know
So please don't tell me
I can't stand it
All your views on
How life's supposed to be
Chalk and talk
Topped with hypocrisy
Why, why, why, do we try
Why, why, why
Must we insist on
Talking for the sake of talking
Being nice for the sake of being nice
Living for the sake of living
Uptight for the sake of
Nice to see you and me
Get along so wonderfully
Don't tell me
I don't want to know
So please don't tell me
I can't stand it
Shouting over everyone
No one's hearing anything
Talk, talk, big mouth
Get the last word in
Why, why, why do we try
Why, why, why
Do we insist on
Talking for the sake of talking
Being nice for the sake of being nice
Living for the sake of living
Uptight for the sake of
Nice to see you and me
Get along so wonderfully
Here we go again
Talking round in circles
Here we go again
Talking a thin line
You and I prove the
Square peg theory
Goes to show
The shape of things to come
Talking for the sake of talking
Being nice for the sake of being nice
Living for the sake of living
Uptight for the sake of
Nice to see you and me
There was a time
I wanted too Much
And now's the time
I don't want anything
No point in crying
Over milk that's too rich
No point in dying
Over blood that's not spilled
I don't want children
I don't wanna have to raise them
I don't wanna be family man
Cos I know that I am
I don't want you
I don't wanna need you
I don't wanna love you
I don't wanna lose you
There was a place
We used to go
And now that place
Is overgrown
What you never had
You'll never have
And what you always missed
Because blood runs too rich
I don't want children
I don't wanna have to raise them
I don't wanna be family man
Cos I know that I am
I don't want you
I don't wanna need you
I don't wanna love you
I don't wanna lose you
I don't want you
I don't want you
I don't want you
I don't want you
I don't want you
I've said before
This is such [?]
I could sound like Mel and Kim
Wouldn't that be nice
Stone the crows
Stone all the hacks
Stone the S.A.W.
Why don't you stone, stone me
I have no heart
I have no song
You can always trust on a S.A.W.
To make things go wrong
Stone the crows
Stone all the S.A.W.s
Stone all the hacks
Why don't you stone, stone me
I'm programmed to
I'm told what to do
I'm good looking, dumb and tall
Now I've got it all
Stone the crows
Stone all the hacks
Stone the S.A.W.
Why don't you stone, stone me
You're attractive, assertive, evocative, positive, sensitive, suggestive
Receptive, alternative, provocative, intensive, addictive, persuasive
Compulsive, impulsive, impressive, creative, innovative, imaginative
Distinctive, excessive, exhaustive, permissive, aggressive
Why don't you cut the small talk
Why don't you cut the small talk
And clean your mouth out
Clean your mouth out
Why won't you sleep with me
You're sensual, sexual, ideal, surreal, liberal, clitorial, visual, unusual
Intellectual, touchable, unquenchable, infallible, lovable, remarkable
Adorable, irresistible, inexhaustible, kissable, undeniable, unmistakable
Impeccable, celestial, delectable, unforgettable
Why don't you cut the small talk
Why don't you cut the small talk
And clean your mouth out
Clean your mouth out
Why won't you sleep with me
You're obnoxious, obvious, nauseous, lecherous, hideous, insidious, serious
Labourious, tedious, torturous, ambiguous, malicious, ridiculous, outrageous
Dangerous, obstreperous, cantankerous, self-conscious, vicious, ambitious
One thing baby is you're certainly meticulous
Why don't you cut the small talk
Why don't you cut the small talk
And clean your mouth out
Clean your mouth out
I tried hard to reach you
I tried hard to understand
Where I was going wrong
I tried too hard
All the days I made you laugh
I thought I was halfways there
Now it seems that halfways
Is nowhere
The comedy is over
The curtains are down
I will no longer be seen
To be playing the clown
A smile is a frown
Upside down
And now I've learned that laughter
Will never be enough
To bring happiness you need
To be selfless
Which is one thing
That you can never be
Look how you used me to
Make you happy
The comedy is over
The curtains are down
I will no longer be seen
To be playing the clown
A smile is a frown
Upside down
And, this clown doesn't feel like joking
This clown isn't very funny
This clown will have one last laugh
The comedy is over
The curtains are down
I will no longer be seen
To be playing the clown
A smile is a frown
I'm not playing the clown
This smile's not a frown
There are lovers
There are mothers
There are winners
There are weepers
And there are saviours
And there are sinners, dreamers, doers, talkers, leaders
There are times when I feel
That we are all cotton pickers
We are all cotton pickers
We are all [?] wishers
We are all cotton pickers
There are monsters
There are monarchs
There are fiends
There are beggars
There are believers
There are hoaxers, hustlers, hagglers, paupers, taunters
There are times when I feel
What a great world we all live in
Even better, what a time to be here
So break a leg now
Soon all the world will be a stage
Too many actors sitting on high chairs
Call me blue
Call me blue again
Call me blue
Call me blue
Sold your soul now
Too much bathroom music
It turns your brain to slush
When you watch too much
On the TV, on the radio
Turn it up now, cause that don't turn it off no
We need cotton pickers we need [?]
Don't press on too hard
Call me blue
Call me blue again
Call me blue
Call me blue
Call me blue
Call me blue again
Call me blue
