To avoid the calendar creep of the latter, a reform of the ancient Egyptian calendar was introduced at the time of Ptolemy III (Decree of Canopus, in 238 BC) which consisted of the intercalation of a sixth epagomenal day every fourth year. However, this reform was opposed by the Egyptian priests, and the idea was not adopted until 25 BC, when the Roman Emperor Augustus formally reformed the calendar of Egypt, keeping it forever synchronized with the newly introduced Julian calendar. To distinguish it from the Ancient Egyptian calendar, which remained in use by some astronomers until medieval times, this reformed calendar is known as the Coptic calendar. This calendar is based on the ancient Egyptian calendar.the Copts chose the year 284AD to mark the beginning of the calendar, since this year saw the seating of Diocletian as Rome’s emperor and the consequent martyrdom of thousands upon thousands of Egypt’s Christians.
Apart from the Church’s celebration, Copts celebrate the New Year by eating red dates, which are now in season, believing the red symbolises the martyrs’ blood and the white date heart the martyrs’ pure hearts
The Coptic New Year is the very first calendar ever known by man on planet earth! It goes back 4241 BC.The word "Nayrouz" is of Coptic origin. The stem is niiaro-oo meaning: "the rivers." The suffex "ouz" is Greek, thus, the word "Niiaroouz." Mid September is usually where the waters of the Nile river rises, so the prayers are lifted to God for the rising of the waters of the rivers for irrigation and ask for His blessings at the beginning (crown) of the Coptic Calendar year. When the Persian ruled Egypt from 525-405 BC, they adopted the word and incorporated it in their language and took it to mean "the beginning of their Persian year," and called it "Nayrouz." The word "Nayrouz" in Persian, means "the new year.

The head of the Coptic church celebrated the forthcoming Easter Sunday in a midnight mass in accordance with the Orthodox calendar, to an audience of worshippers of one of the world's oldest Christian denominations.
AP Television footage showed worshippers packed into the cathedral to attend the service led by Pope Shenouda III, the spiritual leader of Egypt's Coptic Christians.
Orthodox Christians use a different calendar from Roman Catholics and Protestants, so their celebration of Easter usually falls on a different date from the rest of the Christian community and always after the Jewish festival of Passover.
Coptic Christians comprise roughly 10 percent of Egypt's 70 (m) million population.
They have a long history in Egypt, tradition says St. Mark brought Christianity to Egypt just a few years after the death of Christ.

The Ethiopian calendar (Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ ዘመን አቆጣጠር?; yä'Ityoṗṗya zämän aḳoṭaṭär) is the principal calendar used in Ethiopia and also serves as the liturgical calendar for Christians in Eritrea and Ethiopia belonging to the Orthodox Tewahedo churches, Eastern Catholic Church and Coptic Orthodox Church. It is a solar calendar (the older Alexandrian or Coptic calendar brought to Ethiopia by missionaries) which in turn derives from the Egyptian calendar, but like the Julian calendar, it adds a leap day every four years without exception, and begins the year on August 29 or August 30 in the Julian calendar. A seven- to eight-year gap between the Ethiopian and Gregorian calendars results from an alternate calculation in determining the date of the Annunciation of Jesus.

This video report will update the 21 Coptic Christians that were beheaded by ISIS back on 02-12-15, and in doing so, I will show you what was missed during my original decoding, that has alluded me ever since the event took place. I have now discovered that the Coptic Cross and the event just mentioned was a ritual sacrificial element of a time manipulation that began back on 12-21 and 12-24. The Coptic Cross is also a hidden Ritual Clock, that presents a coded message of dates and codes that have to be seen to be believed.
Since proof is in the evidence, I have prepared charts that will prove that the Coptic Cross is a Ritual Clock, that communicates the future dates of 09-15, a date associated with Jade Helm, and 09-24, a date associated with a possible asteroid impact into the Atlantic Ocean, that creates a massive tsunami and ELE for the planet.
This report is only being presented to show that the Clock as we know it, is a ritualized element that has been used to communicate the future dates of 09-15 and 09-24.
While the other code in the Ritual Clock is also intriguing, it is the broadcast of these two dates that has captured my attention and which justified me preparing this video for your proper consideration to what the Ritual Clock shows us.
The Coptic Cross as a Clock could also symbolically represent when the clock or calendar as we know it, Ends.
Thank you for watching and considering such material.

wn.com/The Coptic Cross And The 09 24 Ritual Clock

Speaking in Cairo's towering Abbasiya Cathedral, Pope Shenouda III spoke to an audience including the US ambassador, leading government ministers and Gamal Mubarak, son of Egypt's president.
His Christmas message touched on the need for peace and love among all peoples.
The Copts celebrate Christmas on 7 January according to the Julian Calendar, which is followed by most Orthodox churches in eastern Europe, Greece, Russia and the Middle East.
Copts comprises of roughly 10 percent of Egypt's 70 million population.
They have a long history in Egypt, tradition says St. Mark brought Christianity to Egypt just a few years after the death of Christ.
