Here's an easy Christmas Cookie recipe to get you started!
Ingredients
250g Western Star butter, chilled & chopped
3 cups plain flour
1 cup icing sugar mixture
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
Place butter, flour and icing sugar in a food processor. Process until fine breadcrumbs. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Process until mixture comes together.
Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth. Divide mixture in half. Shape into 2 discs. Wrap in plastic. Chill 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 170ºC/150ºC fan-forced. Line 4 baking trays with baking paper. Roll each disc between 2 sheets of baking paper until 5mm thick. Using cutters, cut shapes from dough. Place on trays, 2cm apart. Bake for 11 minutes or until golden. Cool on a wire rack. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
