If you are looking for a snapshot camera that can pretty much do it all, this Nikon Coolpix L330 is worthy of your consideration. I am a camera nut and own both full-size Nikon SLRs (my present one is the Nikon D5300) as well as small pocket cameras. This L330 is essentially a hybrid between the two -- it is small (and light) enough to be easily carried, and yet has a large and powerful lens that can do many things better than a true pocket camera.

The outstanding characteristic of this camera is the lens. The lens features a much larger objective lens than any pocket camera, which means that it is capturing more light for more detail and sharper shots. For taking still pictures, for example, I notice a clear difference in favor of this camera in comparison to my Canon pocket camera. The 26X optical zoom really makes this camera a "do all" for both landscape shots, portraits, and many other kinds of shooting. Like all cameras of this class, this one is probably not the camera to use for action shots such as flying birds or football games, although it may do in a pinch.

Ergonomically this camera is well thought-out. I was able to pretty much completely figure this camera out without resorting to the manual, which is a good thing as the manual is nearly useless. Most users should simply spend 20 minutes browsing through the camera menus; this will adequately familiarize most users with the camera. (The manual is very rudimentary.) Frankly, you can put most settings on "auto" and do just fine with this camera. The viewfinder shows both shutter speed and F/stop, which is a nice feature for more advanced shooters. The flash is easy to use and is pretty good for a flash of this class.

I love this camera so much. I upgraded from a cannon elph 150 and it was a great little camera but with only 10x zoom this camera is so much better! I wish it didn't take double A battery's but I got the rechargeable kind and it's great. The 25x zoom is amazing and will be great for my trips and concerts :)

This camera is poorly made. I expected good things from such a reputable camera manufacturer. The camera strap attaches to the body on the left side of the camera, but only attaches to a flimsy pieces of plastic with the shooting button on the right side. It popped off during the second use. Now I have to go through some mediator repair company, send in my camera ONLY AFTER I agree to ANY charges, even though it's still under warranty. Unfortunately, I don't just want it fixed so it can break again. I want a different camera. No such luck. Expected more from Nikon.

I LOVE my new Nikon Coolpix camera!! My last camera was the Canon Powershot A495. I could NOT believe the difference in quality of the pictures. This one takes noticeably clearer shots. The features are easy to understand...didn't even need to read the manual. I haven't had to change the batteries yet, and with my old Canon, I would have had to by now. Sooo happy I got this!

This is a great camera for the price. The seller sent the camera came with an Arabic owner's manual, but I quickly found an English version on the Nixon website.

Pros: The zoom is a step up from point and shoot cameras and a huge improvement over the camera on your smartphone.

It is fairly easy to use with automated shooting modes for a number of situations - - nighttime, action, and smart portrait. It also has a macro shooting mode for shooting within a few cm of your subject.

Cons: It doesn't have a manual shooting mode.

Verdict: Great camera for the price.

I love the pictures I've taken with this camera! It's easy to use and it's great for when I want to take pictures of nature/flowers. The shutter speed is slow, however, so it would not work well for kids/pets that are moving or sports.

Bought at Target Black Friday sale for $90. Worth every penny!!! Takes great still pics and has good focus for entry camera. If I had paid over $200 I don't think I'd be as happy. All in all a great little point and shoot with huge MP

I love this camera for the price. I would love to purchase a Nikon 7100 but my budget is far less than the price of that camera so I purchased this one. Someone posted that it does not have a lot of features, but the camera that I upgraded from, which was a Canon 7.0 MP with 6x optical zoom and about the same number of features. This camera suits me just fine...especially for the price. I am still getting acquainted with this camera but overall I am very much satisfied. I shopped around for awhile before I found this camera and would purchase it again in a heartbeat.
