Cultivating Land at Halhul
Taayush and international activists joined Palestinians from the Halhul area in an attempt to work their lands close to the entrance of Karmei Tzur colony. Although the land owners are repeatedly reassured that they are entitled to work there any time they wish, they are chased away every time they try to approach the area. Cultivating land of Halhul residents
We set out, about fifty Palestinians, Israelis and Internationals to help cultivate the lands of Halhul residents which are located near Karmei Tzur settlement. Though officially there is no dispute over the ownership rights of the Palestinians on these lands and they are not required to coordinate their work in the area, past experience has taught us that the settlers, and the soldiers and policemen under their influence, make a point of preventing the Palestinians from accessing their lands.
