A very dangerous situation is unfolding in the Philippines as Typhoon Hagupit, locally known as Ruby, makes landfall in the province of Eastern Samar. More than 30 million people will be impacted by this cyclone. ANA Airways Flight 767-300 Tokyo to Manila Trip Highlights.
While the Dreamliners are becoming stars of the All Nippon Airways fleet, I had the pleasure to ride this older Boeing 767-300ER - ANA JA609A from Manila, Philippines to Narita outside of Tokyo, Japan. Enjoy my journey from the busy streets of Manila, to strolling through Terminal 3 at Ninoy to make my flight. ANA has kept this aircraft in great condition on the inside and must note I was much more comfy in the 767 where the 787 left me feeling quite cramped. Filmed: March 2015

Review of Philippine Airlines (PAL) Airbus A340-300 flight from Manila, Philippines to Singapore. The Centennial Terminal 2 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport, exclusive to Philippine Airlines flights, is simple and functional. There were several flights during that period, mostly to Japan (one of which was cancelled due to a typhoon hitting Japan). It was a pleasant surprise to find out that my flight will be operated by the longhaul Airbus A340-300 aircraft as typically, the smaller narrowbody A320 aircraft is utilised on flights to Singapore. Onboard, it was a full flight with a rather poor entertainment system. However, the cabin crew were friendly and the meal was enjoyable. It was a nice flight with Philippine Airlines. September 29, 2013 San Agustin Church, Intramuros Manila, Philippines --------------------------------------------------------------------------- A magical day where street children who doesn't know Blues sings it; where a sleepy street in the old walled district of Intramuros in Manila became a bustling showcase of the arts, music, food, culture and infectious happiness on what the Philippines should be and CAN be. The experience was surreal; I was there busking on a corner of that street and children came flocking to the tunes of the Blues. It was magical affair as I was belting out songs they never heard of but they sang with me, reminiscent of hollerin' on the fields. I was like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, these kids followed me and helped me wherever I go, in turn I shared the stage with them and I taught them the joy of Music. Then when I looked around, the magic that we created gathered a crowd that when I looked in each of their eyes, I can see that the joy I feel at that moment that moved the children also moved their hearts and I feel inspires them too. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what keeps me going.
B Adventures, Travel Series: Philippines 2014, Season 1, Episode 19 of 26. Guide, tips, and advice. Exploring Makati City, Manila. Makati is a popular tourist district, commercial and business area. Plenty of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Quick stop in Ceb, Sbarro Italian Restaurant & Motel. The Clipper Hotel, Makati Manila. http://www.theclipperhotel.com/index.html A. Venue Makati and apartments / condos. Burger Machine Street Burgers, Makati. Armscor Shooting Range, Makati Cinema Square Mall, basement level. Polaris St, Makati (behind the Clipper Hotel). Burgos Street, Makati (commercial tourist area and nightlife). Local Church gathering in Burgos Street. Regarding the street people in Makati Manila, I bought many of them rice and stir fry dinners and bottled water. I interviewed a few of them off camera and they all confirmed they had come to that area for the holiday and tourist season to try beg for money from foreigners. They were there by choice, and went back to their provinces after new years. Travel Tips: Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly. Its important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask. Its common for taxi drivers in Manila to try rip you off. Ask them nicely to put the meter on, or negotiate the price from the start if you know what it costs to your location. Otherwise find another taxi! Shopping mall culture, locals love the mall for the aircon and to get out of the heat. Locals often inflate prices for foreigners and tourists. Haggle and negotiate nicely. Be tough, but be respectful and polite about it. Shop around, you can often get a better price. "Tip" can also mean bribe, so don't be afraid to ask what you're paying for upfront. Locals often do things to try help you, but then expect a tip. The average basic worker earns PHP 300 a day. So tipping PHP 20 - 50 is fine. PayPal Donation via support@hiphop4hope.com - Hip Hop 4 Hope - Charity Project Philippines - www.hiphop4hope.com Street Culture Against Street Violence What started as a vision of dancers from Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, an international project came into being: With the aid of breakdance as means of expression, we will counteract street violence with street culture together with dance enthusiastic children and teenagers from slums of Manila, Philippines. Joint by numerous breakdancers from various countries and in close collaboration with the local funding agency Onesimo we will establish public and sustainable break dance trainings spots for teenagers in carefully selected slums of Manila, starting March 2015. Through workshops we will provide adolescent people with an insight into the peaceful and positive culture of Hip Hop dancing. Break dance ought to help them gain higher self-esteem and thus form an identity detached from street violence. Due to their lack of prospects, for countless street children of Manilas the only thing left on their search for themselves is the coherence within criminal gangs. The hope for a life in dignity seems to literally choke on the dust of Manilas streets. With a team of ten we will present the Hip Hop culture again where it once started: In areas afflicted with poverty and injustice in which people barely have a chance to live a balanced life free of existential worries. The internationally successful film team KAIZENPICTURES will accompany the project and produce a feature documentary from the gained film footage. With help of the globally strong Hip Hop scene this documentary will then be sold worldwide. Distributions of this film will in the future and on the long run financially support the project. Since its inception in 1997 it has become the largest Dance and Peace event in the world. This year, we're inviting you to dance your way to a cleaner Philippines. The highlight of the trip was getting a chance to visit a Vietnamese boat people refugee camp near Baataan. I met some friendly Pinoys too. The food was great. The transportation readily available. While museums around the world are putting a lockdown on selfie sticks, a museum in the Philippines wants visitors to be part of the art on display. Art in Island, located in a former bus station in Manila, capitalizes on the city's reputation as the Selfie Capital of the World with modified versions of famous works of art. The idea is for visitors to literally make themselves part of the picture. Blyth Cambaya, corporate secretary of Art in Island, said, "Here, art paintings are not complete if you are not with them.. if you don't take pictures with them." American tourist Jenna Eliel praised the museum's non-traditional approach. "You have to be very serious in other museums. [In] this museum, you can really just let your goofy side out." http://www.mashable.com LIKE us on FACEBOOK: http://facebook.com/mashable.video FOLLOW us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/mashablevideo FOLLOW us on TUMBLR: http://mashable.tumblr.com FOLLOW our INSTAGRAM: http://instagram.com/mashable JOIN our circle on GOOGLE PLUS: http://plus.google.com/+Mashable Subscribe!: http://bit.ly/1ko5eNd Mashable is the leading independent news site for all things tech, social media, and internet culture. http://www.youtube.com/mashable

Made in Manila Fireworks 2010 We went out there around 10:30 P.M. to light the fireworks, and a half an hour later we went back inside and waited for the countdown. 12:00 Midnight hit, and then we toasted sparkling wine and screamed Happy New Year. I am excited for what this year what brings and what doors the Lord will open for us to expand His kingdom. After 15 minutes of drinking sparkling wine, eating, and watching TV, we went back outside again and continued our fireworks. I like to see all this sparkling stuff in the evening, and some of my neighbors got fireworks to go up in the air. There were nice weather and smoke all around the subdivision. We stayed up till 3AM and got up late. That morning was raining, and I was lazy to get up to clean up the yard. What a wonderful New Years Eve we had. Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings. Remember; make this world a better place to live. Love God, love people, love nature and love line dancing. Video by Angela Rushing Angela Rushing CEO/Owner Made in Manila.com

Quick view of Manila, video courtesy of Travel Bug.
A brief documentary about Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. Every year, more than 5.5 million tourists take their vacations in the Philippines, and often Manila is their very first stop. Nearly 16 million people live in the Metro Manila area, which is made up of many smaller cities, including Makati, Pasay, Pasig, Paranaque, Mandaluyong, Quezon City, and more. Manila is where big business takes place, where major investments are made, and where residential and commercial real estate is never-ending. Many tourists enjoy the malls, the restaurants, the museums, the nightlife, and even the beautiful Manila Bay. Probably, the biggest tourist attraction is the SM Mall of Asia - the 3rd largest mall in the world. For more details about Manila or the Philippines in general, visit www.ThePhilippines.com

How to behave in social situations in Manila. Here are a few customs and etiquette to be aware of during your visit to the Phillipines. Filipinos value honor. The concept of hiya or shame requires one to behave in a manner that will not shame the person or the family. Handshake is common when meeting someone. If elders are present, acknowledge them first. Address people formally indicating their profession or using their last names. In discussions Filipinos tend to be non-confrontational. People will not directly say no. In making appointments, Filipinos tend to be more forgiving. If you arrive 15 to 20 minutes late, unless you are attending a business function. If you ever receive a gift, open it afterwards, not in front of the person who gave it to you. When it comes to tipping, 10 percent of the bill is typical in most situations, unless it is already included. In that case you can give a small change. Most of all, Filipinos try their best to be hospitable. When visiting their homes you may be invited to a meal even if it was not planned. I am Roselyn Cantos showing you metro Manila.
Learn how to ride the local train and other transportation options in Manila. You do not need to rent a car when going around MetroManila because there is a lot of transport. You can take the bus, taxi, jeepney, train, or even a horse carriage. I am going to the city of Manila, so I am taking the LRT, which is my fastest transport option. There are two elevated railway systems in MetroManila, the MIT and the LRT. The LRT travels in a single line and passes through the city of Manila, so you will not have any problems getting to your destinations. Another option is the MIT. It passes through Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Quezon City. I am going to Central Station, and I am buying my ticket. I am waiting for the train, which arrives in fifteen-minute intervals. Here is the train now. Be sure to have your ticket with you at all times; otherwise, you will not get out of the station. You do not have to call by telephone to get a taxi because they are practically everywhere. When riding a taxi, make sure the meter is on and working. Colorful jeepneys ply through most places and are good for short distances. For a taste of local color, try riding the kalesas, which are available in some old neighborhoods in Manila. That was a great ride! I am Roselyn Cantos, showing you Manila.
I joined some local "pinays" and did some street food hawking around the Manila downtown area. I tried bbq chicken intestine, fondly called "isaw" straight up from the grill, fried chicken balls, and the much too popular "balut" or the boiled duck egg complete with its embryo, which according to these locals is a good source of protein and serves as aphrodisiac for men. B Adventures, Travel Series: Philippines 2013, Season 1, Episode 3 of 26. Guide, tips, and advice. Intramuros "The Spanish Walled City" is the oldest district and historic core of the City of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The Bourne Legacy (2012) movie was filmed in parts of the Intramuros area. Exploring: Intramuros, horse and carriage tour. Public transport adventure, Jeepneys & MRT rail. Mall of Asia. El Chupacabra Restaurant, 5782 Felipe St. cor. Polaris St., Makati City. Take a tour of the medieval fortified city. Intramuros, in Philippine colonial history, was the original Manila. The Spaniards first landed here in 1571 and conquered this area, that was once a center of trade for Asian goods. It will take you an entire day, or longer, to discover Intramuros. Intramuros, which means inside the walls, used to be the political, cultural and commercial center of the Spaniards in the East. To ward off invaders, the Spaniards built the wall to protect the area. Intramuros housed Fort Santiago, the headquarters for colonizers from the Spaniards, the Americas, the Japanese, until the Philippine Independence in 1946. The Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, was incarcerated in Fort Santiago. And in his prison cell he wrote his famous poem, Mi último Adiós, before being executed by musketry. Shelling in 1945 destroyed the city beyond recognition. However, bit by bit, Intramuros was reconstructed and has recaptured its historic past. This is Baluarte de San Diego, the oldest fortification in Intramuros. Now it is favorite spot among students and visitors. There are several schools inside Intramuros, including Letran, which was established in 1620. The present Manila Cathedral, built in 1954, resembled the old design and captured the beauty of the old churches in Intramuros. The Palcio del gobernador actually sits in the original spot of the old Spanish government building. Although modernization is inevitable, Intramuros is one of the best places to witness Manila's past. I am Roselyn Cantos, showing you Manila.
A museum that display the rich Philippine culture and history. Website: www.ayalamuseum.org Address: Makati Avenue cor. De La Rosa Street Greenbelt Park, Ayala Center Makati City 1224 Phone/Contact Info: +632.757.7117 I am at McCarthy Avenue at the heart of a huge business district in metro Manilla. This is where Ayala Museum is located, a private collection that provides a glimpse of Philippine art and history. The museum opened in 1974 and was the brainchild of artist Fernando Zobel. I am here with Ms. Nita Samson, a curator at the Ayala Museum. Ms. Samson, what is unique about this museum? What makes Ayala Museum unique is that it is both a history and an art museum. Our historical dioramas and boat gallery are proven crowd drawers. The main attraction here is a diorama of Philippine history created by artists from Paete, Laguna. Another popular attraction is the boat gallery that showcases maritime trade and colonial economy. As we go up the third and fourth levels, pioneers of Philippine art Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo, and Fernando Zobel are showcased. You can buy souvenirs here at the museum shop and every purchase you make helps support the educational programs of the museum. When you visit here, allot two hours to explore the whole museum. The Ayala Museum is a quick way to learn about Philippine culture. I am Rosalyn Cantos showing you metro Manilla.

Explore - Philippines - Manila to Mindanao 1 of 4 - BBC Travel Documentary, recorded 05.03.2011 Simon Reeve leads a team of journalists on a journey of discovery in the Philippines, from the staggering scenery of the mountainous rice terraces in the north, to the war-torn Muslim regions of the south. In the capital, Manila, population pressure has led to some surprising consequences. The city's largest cemetery has become home to a thriving community, who look after the tombs of the rich but also have their own schools and shops. The country is still in some political turmoil and a long-running communist insurgence has led to allegations of illegal killings by the army. Simon meets a general known as 'The Butcher'. Simon also has a surreal encounter from the past - an interview with Imelda Marcos, who is marketing a new line in beauty products. It's a stunning country with bizarre wild life and a population of tropical 'Sea Gypsies' whose lifestyle is feeling pressure from the modern world.. Big News Network 2015-04-17Manila (English: /məˈnɪlə/; Tagalog: Maynila, [majˈnilaʔ]) is the capital of the Philippines. It is one of the sixteen cities (along with the smaller municipality of Pateros) that comprise Metro Manila.
Manila is located on the eastern shore of Manila Bay and is bordered by Navotas and Caloocan to the north; Quezon City to the northeast; San Juan and Mandaluyong to the east; Makati to the southeast, and Pasay to the south.
Manila has a total population of more than 1,652,171 according to the 2010 census. Manila is the second most populous city in the Philippines, behind its neighbor, Quezon City. The populace inhabit an area of only 38.55 square kilometers, making Manila the most densely populated city in the world.Metro Manila is the most populous metropolitan area in the Philippines and the 11th in the world with an estimated population of 16,300,000. The greater urban area is the fifth-most populous in the world and has an estimated metropolitan population of 20,654,307 people.
The city is divided into six legislative districts and consists of sixteen geographical districts: Binondo, Ermita, Intramuros, Malate, Paco, Pandacan, Port Area, Quiapo, Sampaloc, San Andres, San Miguel, San Nicolas, Santa Ana, Santa Cruz, Santa Mesa and Tondo. Bustling commerce and some of the most historically and culturally significant iconic landmarks in the country, as well as the seat of the executive and judicial branches of the government are to be found in the city; and it is also home to many scientific and educational institutions, numerous sport facilities, a variety of other culturally and historically significant venues. As a primary transportation hub and with the larger capital region bearing its name, there is very little of a general nature to be found in cities anywhere that Manila is lacking.
On my Plane to Manila
passengers sit'n row to row
The Flight staff served the curry chicken,
When I heard the Turbin go, "Yeah!"
Out of my window was the sunset,
On the wings a funny glow,
Then my seat started rattling,
Im sure that wasn't part of the show,
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no seatbelts
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no life vest,
I started to dance..
My plane noise went down,
I heard the pilot call `regrets`,
But the people didn't panic,
They all just stared at me,
And they started to dance,
Without wearing no seatbelts,
we all started to dance,
Without wearing no life vest,
We all started to dance,
It was quiet a ride.
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no seatbelts
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no life vest,
On my Plane to Manila
passengers sit row to row
The Flight staff served the CURRY CHICKEEEN!!
And Then I heard the turbine go
Yeah ...
Out of my window was the sunset,
On the wing a funny glow,
Then my seat started rattling,
Assured that wasn’t part of the show,
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no seatbelt
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no life vest,
I started to dance..
My plane noise went down,
I heard the pilot talk regrets,
But the people didn’t panic,
They just all, stared at me,
And they started to dance,
Without wearing no seatbelts,
we all started to dance,
Without wearing no life vest,
We all started to dance,
It was quiet a ride.
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no seatbelts
So i started to dance,
Without wearing no life vest,
I keep coming back to Manila
Simply no place like Manila
Manila, I'm coming home
I walked the streets of San Francisco
I've tried the rides in Disneyland
Dated a million girls in Sydney
Somehow I feel like I don't belong
Hinahanap hanap kita Manila
Ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga
Mga jeepney mong nagliliparan
Mga babae mong naggagandahan
Take me back in your arms Manila
And promise me you'll never let go
Promise me you'll never let go
Manila, Manila
Miss you like hell, Manila
No place in the world like Manila
Take me back to the place I love
Take me back to the place I love, uhuh uhuh
Take me back to the place I love
Take me back to the place I love
I remember when were kids
Having bar-b-ques in the bukid
When the brownouts came, we were never alone
We just played in the streets til the lights came on
Six o'clock in the mornin'
Bakery just opened
You can smell the bread, they was cooking from a mile away
Ain't nothing like a fresh piece to start your day in...
CHORUS
Manila (Manila, Manila)
I'm comin' back to Manila
The only place that I call home (home)
I'm comin' back to...
Manila (Manila, Manila)
I'm comin' back to Manila
The only place that I call home (home)
Signal to the jeepney (pick me up)
Take me to the place where (I grew up)
Back to the kids in the park where we played all day
Some had a shed for a home but it was all okay
'Cause in Manila, we all the same
Everybody's waiting for things to change
In the barrio, that's how it is
We didn't care much 'cause we were kids, oh
CHORUS
Manila (Manila, Manila)
I'm comin' back to Manila
The only place that I call home (home)
I'm comin' back to...
Manila (Manila, Manila)
I'm comin' back to Manila
The only place that I call home (home)
I've been gone for a minute but I'm on the next flight
And the plane man says we can make it by night
Can't wait to touch down in my old hometown
Had a girl, we used to kick it but I doubt she's still around, yo
It's all good 'cause I'm back in the jungle
Where the girls in bikinis all come in a bundle
And pain and poverty is everywhere
But when the smoke all clears, there's only love in the air
I've been gone too long
I'm coming home
Gone too long
I'm comin' home (comin' back to the place I love)
Gone too long
I'm comin' home (comin' back to the place I love)
I'm comin' back to Manila
Yo yo yo yo
I say, babalik ako sa Manila, Manila
Babalik ako sa Manila, Manila
Babalik ako sa Manila, Manila
Babalik ako, babalik ako, babalik
Babalik ako sa Manila, Manila
Babalik ako sa Manila, Manila
Babalik ako sa Manila, Manila
Babalik ako, babalik ako, babalik
I'm comin' home (Manila, Manila, Manila, Manila)
I'm comin' back to Manila (comin' back to the place I love)
I'm comin' back to Manila (Manila, Manila, Manila, Manila)
I'm comin' back to Manila (comin' back to the place I love)
(Manila, Manila, Manila, Manila, Manila)
(Comin' back to the place I love)
Comin' back to the place I love
Comin' back to the place I love
Maraming beses na kitang nilayasan
Iniwanan at iba ang pinuntahan
Parang babaeng mahirap talagang malimutan
Ikaw lamang ang aking laging binabalikan
Manila, Manila
I keep coming back to Manila
Simply no place like Manila
Manila, I'm coming home
I walked the streets of San Francisco
I've tried the rides in Disneyland
Dated a million girls in Sydney
Somehow I feel like I don't belong
Hinahanap-hanap kita Manila
Ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga
Mga Jeepney mong nagliliparan
Mga babae mong naggagandahan
Take me back in your arms Manila
And promise me you'll never let go
Promise me you'll never let go
Manila, Manila
Miss you like hell, Manila
No place in the world like Manila
disappointment comes
priority mail these days
marked by the scent of a stamp
a smell so familiar but mixed
with the taste of your lips
A hand written letter
so static yet louder
than any cross words we've shouted
These formalities have to stop
cause I've had it
Pen and Ink are so permanent
lasting and longer
leaving scars like a blade
I guess we'll see which one is stranger
Outlined in black and white
with the verdict delivered
I'm sure I'll never get this right
each sentence strikes deeper
than six feet I have dug for or was it that I buried
You say the distance doesn't matter
Your straged sympathy shows through this script
With your las words sealed Manila
and sent with malicious intent
Such and obvious gesture to things
in my life that would never fit
Abandonment was never the issue now
Was It?
Pen and Ink are so permanent
lasting and longer
leaving scars like a blade
I guess we'll see which one is stranger
Outlined in black and white
You said you didn't want this
but now you're gonna miss this
I really need this
