Side (Greek: Σίδη Side, Turkish: Side) was an ancient Greek city in Anatolia, in the region of Pamphylia, in what is now Antalya province, on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is now a resort town and one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey, near Manavgat and the village of Selimiye, 75 km from Antalya) in the province of Antalya.
It is located on the eastern part of the Pamphylian coast, which lies about 20 km east of the mouth of the Eurymedon River. Today, as in antiquity, the ancient city is situated on a small north-south peninsula about 1 km long and 400 m across.
Strabo and Arrian both record that Side was founded by Greek settlers from Cyme in Aeolis, a region of western Anatolia. This most likely occurred in the 7th century BC. Possessing a good harbour for small-craft boats, Side's natural geography made it one of the most important places in Pamphylia and one of the most important trade centres in the region. According to Arrian, when settlers from Cyme came to Side, they could not understand the dialect. After a short while, the influence of this indigenous tongue was so great that the newcomers forgot their native Greek and started using the language of Side. Excavations have revealed several inscriptions written in this language. The inscriptions, dating from the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC, remain undeciphered, but testify that the local language was still in use several centuries after colonisation. Another object found in the excavations at Side, a basalt column base from the 7th century BC and attributable to the Neo-Hittites, provides further evidence of the site's early history. The name Side is Anatolian in origin and means pomegranate.

One day you'll see her and you'll know what I mean
Take her or leave her she will still be the same
She'll not try to buy you with her time
Nothing's the same, as you will see when she's gone
It's foreign on this side
And I'll not leave my home again
There's no place to hide
And I'm nothing but scared
You dream of colors that have never been made
You imagine songs that have never been played
(They will try to buy you and your mind)
They will try to buy you and your mind
Only the curious have something to find
It's foreign on this side
(Hoo, ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo)
And the truth is a bitter friend
Reasons few have I, to go back again
Your first dawn blinded you left you cursing the day
Entrance was crucial and it's not without pain
(There's no path)
There's no path to follow, once you're here
You'll climb up the slide and then you'll slide down the stairs
It's foreign on this side
(Foreign on this side)
But it feels like I'm home again
There's no place to hide
But I don't think I'm scared
(There's no place to hide)
(There's no place to hide)
But I don't think I'm scared
There's no place to hide
break it down to me
you really think it's all that easy
you shouldn't even waste your time
and don't you
feed the lines with all your shit cause
ignorance makes easy critics
media with wrong direction
is more than we're asking for
you write us off
false authority is fine but it's all for the narrow minded
you don't understand
the position that you really so far off
another biased view
judging all our true intentions
somehow it looks to me
you don't seem to call the shots that fair
i give it everything
no compromise for what you say it's all the same
how can you meant to say
is different from the way that it's supposed to be
