One man drowned and another was rescued from Indian Creek on Friday evening.

A Kansas City Fire Department spokesman said it appeared the men, described as between 25 and 30, were fishing in the creek near 600 W. 103rd St. The call for rescue assistance came shortly after 6 p.m. It was not immediately clear how the men became endangered. Police are investigating.
