A question may be either a linguistic expression used to make a request for information, or else the request itself made by such an expression. This information may be provided with an answer.
Questions are normally put forward or asked using interrogative sentences. However they can also be formed by imperative sentences, which normally express commands: "Tell me what two plus two is"; conversely, some expressions, such as "Would you pass the salt?", have the grammatical form of questions but actually function as requests for action, not for answers, making them allofunctional. (A phrase such as this could, theoretically, also be viewed not merely as a request but as an observation of the other person's desire to comply with the request given.)
Questions have a number of uses. 'Raising a question' may guide the questioner along an avenue of research (see Socratic method). A rhetorical question is asked to make a point, and does not expect an answer (often the answer is implied or obvious). Pre-suppositional questions, such as "Have you stopped beating your wife?" may be used as a joke or to embarrass an audience, because any answer a person could give would imply more information than he was willing to affirm. Questions can also be titles of works of art and literature (e.g. Leo Tolstoy's short story How Much Land Does a Man Need? and the movie What About Bob?), or a scholarly monograph (e.g. Who Asked the First Question?). McKenzie lists 17 types of questions in his "Questioning Toolkit" and suggests that thinkers must orchestrate and combine these types in his article "Punchy Question Combinations". Examples of his question types include the irreverent question, the apparently irrelevant question, the hypothetical question and the unanswerable question. Questions can be infelicitous as well, based on incorrect and illogical premises (e.g. "Why do cats have green wings?").
System of a Down, also known by the acronym SOAD and often shortened to System, is a rock band from Southern California, formed in 1994. It consists of Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Shavo Odadjian (bass, background vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums).
The band achieved commercial success with the release of five studio albums; from which three debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. System of a Down has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, and won the award in 2006 for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song "B.Y.O.B.". The group went on hiatus in August 2006, but reunited in November 2010, embarking on a worldwide tour in 2011.
Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, and Shavo Odadjian all attended Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School while children, although because of their eight-year age difference they did not meet until 1992 while working on separate projects at the same recording studio. They formed a band named Soil with Tankian on vocals and keyboards, Malakian on vocals and guitar, Dave Hakopyan (who later played in The Apex Theory/Mt. Helium) on bass and Domingo "Dingo" Laranio on drums. The band hired Shavo Odadjian (another Rose and Alex Pilibos alumnus) as manager, although he eventually joined Soil as rhythm guitarist. After three years, only one live show, and one jam session recording, Hakopyan and Laranio quit the band, feeling that it was not going anywhere.
George Galloway (born 16 August 1954) is a British politician, author, journalist, and broadcaster, and the Respect Member of Parliament (MP) for Bradford West. He was previously an MP for the Labour Party, for Glasgow Hillhead and then its successor constituency Glasgow Kelvin from 1987 until 2005. He was expelled from the Labour Party in October 2003 because of his strident public opposition to the Iraq War. He subsequently became a founding member of the left-wing Respect Party, and was elected as the MP for Bethnal Green and Bow in 2005. In 2010, Galloway unsuccessfully contested the seat of Poplar and Limehouse, and in 2011 he unsuccessfully contested the Glasgow list for the Scottish Parliament, before being elected as an MP in the Bradford West by-election, 2012.
Galloway is well known for his campaigns in support of the Palestinians in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. In the late-1980s Hansard records him delivering a ferocious assault on the Ba'ath regime, and Galloway opposed Saddam's regime until the United States-led Gulf War in 1991. Galloway is known for a visit to Iraq where he met Saddam Hussein, and delivered a speech, which ended in English with the statement "Sir, I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability." He has always stated that he was addressing the Iraqi people in the speech. Galloway testified to the United States Senate in 2005 over alleged illicit payments from the United Nations' Oil for Food Programme.
Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom (born 13 January 1977) is an English actor. He had his break-through roles in 2001 as the elf-prince Legolas in The Lord of the Rings and in 2003 as blacksmith Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. He subsequently established himself as a lead in Hollywood films, including Elizabethtown and Kingdom of Heaven. He appeared in the ensemble films New York, I Love You, Sympathy for Delicious, and Main Street. Bloom made his professional stage debut in West End's In Celebration at the Duke of York's Theatre, St. Martin's Lane, which ended its run on 15 September 2007. On 12 October 2009, Bloom was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Orlando Bloom was born in Canterbury, Kent, England, and has one sister, Samantha Bloom, who was born in 1975.
His mother, Sonia Constance Josephine (née Copeland), was born in the British section of Kolkata, India, the daughter of Betty Constance Josephine Walker and Francis John Copeland, who was a physician and surgeon. Through her, Bloom is a cousin of photographer Sebastian Copeland. Bloom's maternal grandmother's family lived in Tasmania, Australia, Japan, and India, and were of English descent, some of them having originally come from Kent. During his childhood, Bloom was told that his father was his mother's husband, Jewish South African-born anti-Apartheid novelist Harry Saul Bloom; however, when he was thirteen (nine years after Harry's death), Bloom's mother revealed to him that his biological father was actually Colin Stone, his mother's partner and family friend. Stone, the principal of the Concorde International language school, was made Orlando Bloom's legal guardian after Harry Bloom's death. Bloom is named after the 16th century composer Orlando Gibbons.[citation needed]
Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, investor, record producer, and actor. He rose to fame with the release of his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) and The Massacre (2005). His album Get Rich or Die Tryin' has been certified eight times platinum by the RIAA.
Born in the South Jamaica of Queens, New York City, Jackson began drug dealing at the age of twelve during the 1980s crack epidemic. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he was shot at and struck by nine bullets during an incident in 2000. After releasing his album Guess Who's Back? in 2002, Jackson was discovered by rapper Eminem and signed to Interscope Records. With the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre, who produced his first major commercial successes, Jackson became one of the world's highest selling rappers. In 2003, he founded the record label G-Unit Records, which signed several successful rappers such as Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo.
My mind's made up to pacing across the floor
No point in staying if we're not saying war
I don't mind hanging around
Whatever now and what else can I do?
It's a question of you
Thoughts careen till I can't stand up
Where's the crime in a streak of bad luck?
Words to pick at, retreat from
Words that fester if only to get at the truth
It's a question of you
What it all comes down to
Is a different set of values
To throw away or mobilize to use
It's a question of you
No time to be singular
Here's hoping that the feeling gets through
The sound of sound beginning leads to places
Where reflections break anew
It's a question of you
What it all comes down to
Is a different set of values
To throw away or mobilize to use
When I see the gleam in your eyes, I hesitate run and hide
Keep all the good things I'm thinkin' to myself
Should be no reason to hide 'cause I know you'd be flattered
It's just that I'm afraid that you'd turn away
If I saw we can share some time, please keep in mind the importance is in two people reaching out
If you question my motives, just let down your walls
I will look at you and you'll see what's in me
It's just a fantasy I have of being with you, so I can show you how much you mean to me
There’s a lie that runs
Across the human race
There’s a truth that draws
A tear upon your face
A child is crying and it echoes
All over the world
If we try to find some
Deep communication
Bring an end to war
And start a new creation
From the truth inside
It’s waiting, it’s waiting
Suddenly then
The clearest voice will call
Feeling the air
You have no choice at all
Can I ask the question to you
Do you know who you are
Do you know what we’re doing here
Try to see the way from within
‘Cause it isn’t outside
Let your honesty see it clear
Why does anger fit our hearts
With missconception
Turn us inside out in every direction
From the truth inside
That’s waiting, it’s waiting
Follow the voice
That lives inside your heart
Never the choice
That tears your world apart
Take a walk and be
A wave upon the oceanTouch the sky and
Feel our spirit in motion
This is the love inside that’s waiting
Just waiting
Suddenly everything is there to see
You can be everything you want to be
Are you ready to go my love
Are you ready to be my love
Which way do I go?
Pain I swallow I cannot keep it down
Hate I swallow I cannot keep it down
Down
You I hate you I cannot keep you down
You I'll rape you I cannot keep it down
Down
You before me
I can't take any more
Of what you have to offer
My ears are sore
Leave my feelings
In a heap by the door
Can't go up any futher

But before you enter in nothing more can begin
All the darkness that we choose, lay it down it can't be used
Burn it in the fire
You can't offer up your guest you can't get by with second best
If you try to sneak away, the list is long the price you'll pay
Burn it in the fire
Burn it in the fire
Burn it down
Long before I came this way I thought the world would see my way
But I didn't see all the danger signs
Long ago and far away I missed the boat I went my way
And I turned into the other kind
Peter says don't wonder why when these fires come to life
Don't look down and don't think twice
You are now the sacrifice
Burning in the fire
Burning in the fire

Hello.
Where are you?
Why'd you leave me?
What'd I do?
Is it too late?
Can I ever make it up to you?
Is it over?
Did it ever really start?
Could we put it back together?
or... Will I fall apart?
Open doors to dead-end roads
As far as I can see.
I'm looking for an answer
That will bring you back to me.
Hello.
Where am I?
Will you help me?
Is it true?
Will you keep me?
Did you find somebody new?
Can I see you?
Will you come back?
Should I beg you?
Open doors to dead-end roads
As far as I can see.
I'm looking for an answer
That will bring you back to me.

Goodbye.
I'm sorry.
You're an angel.
I'm a fool.
It's all my fault
It's all my fault
Confused emotions made me cruel.
The final questions
As I'm looking out the door:
Am I breathing?
Am I leaving?
Yea... a struggle, we all know it
Sometimes some of us don't like it
This is dedicated to every other motherfucker out there with a dream
People can't have a dream that so many others had
He's 25 still living at his mothers pad with a spiral notepad
Full of hate and despair
It's him against the world and he doesn't seem to care,
But thinks it isn't fair he ain't caught no break
Got arrested last we for a sac a shake
And a couple pain pills that he stole from his mama
From when she hurt her back at work now more drama
Got fired from his job so he can't afford beats
May go this year drop a tape for the streets
It seems the holes deep it only got deeper
It feels like he's running from the grim reaper
Putting coke and the reaper and some in his nose
Then believes it helps him to write these wonderful flows
Met a producer at the club and book him a few shows
Appears to be ballin but no one really knows
If ever your world starts crashing down,
Whenever your world starts crashing down
Whenever your world starts crashing down, that's when you'll find me
Now he just open up for MC lil so and so,
And VIP, poppin bottles and blowing dro
Met a promo guy from Def Jam named Todd,
Said he was cool with LA Ree but it seemed odd
A bunch of bullshit, talking off us here,
Thinking why would a guy like this be here,
But with no fear he gave him his CD,
With all the swagger in this world he said you better call me
But three months passed and his celli never rang,
But still determine inside to do his thing
But with no 9 to 5 and no product to slain
Convinced his homeboy cousin to front him a lil cane
But instead of grinding it he starting using it
Lock in his bedroom starting losing it
And when it was gone a month had passed
Scared cause he know them boys comin for their cash
If ever your world starts crashing down,
Whenever your world starts crashing down
Whenever your world starts crashing down, that's when you'll find me
Borrowed money from his auntie to pay his debts
For the last four days this man has not slept
At a party smoking with some fools he just met,
Hit it hard as hell but didn't know it was wet,
Until the smell hit him and he knew he was fucked,
Pissed cause another rapper told him his shit sucked
Down with his luck kick out no where to stay
Today his myspace page only got one play
So we took every song he did and put it on a disc
And sealed Cd's in envelopes real thick
And addressed them to every label he could think of
FedEx over night delivery on the brink of
Death as he reached under the bed and pulled a gun
And later cold steel on the tip of his tongue
He pealed his own cat killed himself with a gat
Would you believe the next day Def Jam called back
If ever your world starts crashing down,
Whenever your world starts crashing down
Torture subconscious and domestic.
How it feels to ship a "unit" home to you in plastic, cold storage and a casket.
Open your present and inside you find your darling pride and joy.
Question your leaders and their methods.
What we call freedoms have all boiled down to bribery.
Our list of choices exists so we think we have some to make, but if you try you will discover the subtle difference between the complacent free and the ones that make the waves.
Why must we die when bureaucrats tell us to?
Why must we sacrifice ourselves for the disbelief of others?
Why must we be thrown away?
Why must we die under false pretense?
Torrential downpour of bodies bagged and toe-tagged with names and ranks or destinations, but the only information of any importance is the number they're assigned.
What is to be a statistic blows my mind.
Why has our sense of humanity gone away?
Pseudo-villains, planted for propaganda, remind us who we can trust, who we can put our faith in: no one.
Boasts of accomplishments falling on dead ears.
A severe affliction of blind faith following the blind.
Why must we die?
Why must we die?
Why must we die?
Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door
With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war.
It's where we stop and look around us
There is nothing that we need.
In a world of persecution
That is burning in it's greed.
Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door
Because the truth is hard to swallow
That's what the wall of love is for.
It's not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It's more the way that you mean it
When you tell me what will be.
And when you stop and think about it
You won't believe it's true.
That all the love you've been giving
Has all been meant for you.
I'm looking for someone to change my life.
I'm looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see what it's done to me
To lose the the love I knew
Could safely lead me through.
Between the silence of the mountains
And the crashing of the sea
There lies a land I once lived in
And she's waiting there for me.
But in the grey of the morning
My mind becomes confused
Between the dead and the sleeping
And the road that I must choose.
I'm looking for someone to change my life.
I'm looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see what it's done to me
To lose the the love I knew
Could safely lead me to
The land that I once knew.
To learn as we grow old
The secrets of our souls.
It's not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It's more the way you really mean it
When you tell me what will be.

in our times truth is a mercenary
who dress according to / who has the throne
in our times reallity /is getting darker
by the shine of their pots of gold
masses are walking around
with a masked face / with an eternal headache
And our eyes reflects the lights
of your burning nights
so tired, so tired,
to resist the sea that comes over us
what can we do, before we drown?
can we stay and enjoy this bitterness
or maybe can we do something more?..
question everything
living everything
confront everything
maybe this night cant blind our eyes
maybe this way hope can survive
a simple question maybe the first step
She woke from a dream
Her head was on fire
Why was he so nervous
He took her to the park
She crossed her arms and
Lowered her eye lids
Someday somebody's gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to
Once in your life
Maybe tonight
Ive got a querstion for you
She'd had no idea
Started to cry
She said in a good way
He took her by the hand
Walked her back home
They took the long way
Someday somebody's gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to
Once in your life
Maybe tonight
I can't wait
Till the moment it happens
I can't wait to ask them this question
I can't wait
Till I know the answer
I can't wait
I just want to know it
Next one was crossing my mind
Everybody asks this once
Second important question
Will we go lef or right?
These questions are ok
They help you through the day
I ask them all the time
Because I just cant wait
These questions are ok
They help you through the day
I ask them all the time

Dear new applicant
We really wanna know your sordid secrets
We are writing again because
We really do
Want to hear your
Views and opinions
We would be so
Grateful if you could find the time
To take part and fill in
The quick questionnaire
And become involved
How're you feeling?
Are you reeling?
Are you still in love,
And who do you think you are?
Is it working?
Did it all fall through?
Are you in control,
And who do you think you are?
Your OCD can be treated
Just plug right in
Get behind the wheel
Open wide, boy
Now be a good
Soldier
See, it's not hard
All your friends have
Fallen into line and
Are marching in time
So become involved
How're you feeling?
Are you reeling?
Are you still in love,
And who do you think you are?
Is it working?
Did it all fall through?
Are you in control,
And who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Do you think we wanna know your sordid secrets?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
How're you feeling?
Are you reeling?
Are you still in love?
And who do you think you are?
Is it working?
Did it all fall through?
We question our minds, we question our souls.
Stumbling in the dark, running into walls.
Everyone's so quick to give answers,
but those answers are so quick to change.
Because truth is just a claim.
If it exists, can it really be obtained?
Find resolve in the chances you take.
The only mistake you can make
is not to question at all.
If we search, then we will find.
Realizations come, come with time.
Year older what have we gained?
A trust, trust in ideas that have still remained.
Because truth is just a claim.
If it exists, can it really be obtained?
Find resolve in the chances you take.
The only mistake you can make
is not to question at all.
If we search, if we search than we will find
If you have a little faith in yourself,
before you listen to someone else;
you're entitled to your own say,
and the right to live your own way.
Find resolve in the chances you take.
The only mistake you can make

Feeling the kids, listen the street
[mowf's grandfather]
I've never had any uhh.
Healthy degree of respect for, rappers
Because they was rappin the wrong kind of thing.
Or that old bad language, foul language
I never cared for that. bad language
I don't care if you make ten million dollars a day
It ain't worth it
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world
And lose his soul? nothing
Rap about that
[danja mowf]
Yo, just a thought but I was wondering
What if underground were to hit, would commercial be the shit?
A universal role-reversal -- imagine that
Where a cipher's too commercial and some corny rap is fat
Would hammer then get props, and did ras kass sell out?
Your moms pumping organized konfusion through the house?
St. ide's was a soda and they legalized the blunts
And everybody smoked em and the president had fronts
Would niggaz sportin afros and dreads and the braids
Switch to jheri curls, and high-top fades?
And rappin bout the streets wasn't cool
The underground would pump non-violence, safe sex, stay in school
So who? be real, could you choose? (nah)
When re-al-ity and commercial-ity both fuse?
But I've got news check it out we're on the way (what? )
To making this happen everyday, so I say
Question: do you have to be from the hood
In order, to know, how to rap good?
Question: do you have to pack a tec-9
Serve jail time, to learn how to rhyme?
Question: do you you have to be a gang banger
Or drug slanger, to be a rap singer?
Question: do you have to be an alcoholic
Or a drug fiend, to make green on the rap scene?
Check it out, I was chillin in my crib
With my hand on the dial, bout to watch a video for a while
Freestyle rules, yes indeed
The song's about hustlers, smokin mad weed
And how many gats you can tote in your coat
And how quick you pull it, and discharge the bullet
Are real o.g.'s, the real mc's?
A brother out the pen with the pen writin sin
Can you tell me then -- if you knows why the do's always close
When I shows with my demos, suppose it's the clothes (nah)
Shoulda choose those timbo's
Or talked about some hoes in my flows (that's how it goes)
Yo it's cool if you live that
If I can't relate, are my rhymes less fat?
Cause I'm not a hustler, a gangster, a player or a g
I'm just an mc bein me, so I ask

Or pack a gat to umm, go plat-i-numm
If my pockets fat then umm, let it be from how I come
A smart intellectu-al, poet of the streets
Recitin over beats, representin with the pen
I don't pack nines, but known to carry tens
In fingers, ten funk bringers, they known to bring
Funk to a punk like a trunk full of skunk, pee-eww
I see you, peek-a-boo, who
Got a weaker crew, here's a technique or two
Pay-per-view nigga, for the true niggaz, not the ones
Pullin triggers but the ones whose the father figures
Whoa, that's a radical idea, imagine that
But who would wanna hear
Somethin in they ear positive
Instead of somethin glorifyin just how triflin they live, so.

She'd had no idea, she started to cry
She said in a good way
He took her by the hand, walked her back home
They took the long way
Some day somebody's gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to
Once in your life
Maybe tonight I've got a question for you
[moody blues, "question of balance"]

Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door
With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war?
''cause when we stop and look around us
There is nothing that we need
In a world of persecution
That is parting in it's greed
Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door?
Because the truth is hard to swallow
It's like a wall of blood before...
It's not the way that you say it when you do those things to me
It's more the way that you mean it when you tell me what will be and when you stop and think about it
You won't believe it's true
That all the love you've been giving
Has all been meant for you I'm looking for someone to change my life
I'm looking for a miracle in my life
But if you could see what it's done to me
To lose the love I knew
That safely leads me through...
Between the silence of the mountains and the crashing of the sea
There lies a land I once lived in
And she's waiting there for me
But in the grey of the morning
My mind becomes confused
Between the dead, and the sleeping,
And the road that I must choose
I'm looking for someone to change my life
I'm looking for a miracle in my life
And if you could see what it's done to me
To lose the love I knew
Could safely lead me to
The land that I once knew
The land as we grow old
The secrets of our soul
It's not the way that you say it when you do those things to me
It's more the way you really mean it when you tell me what will be
Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door?
With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war
But when we stop and look around us
There is nothing that we need
In a world of persecution
I must be two lips
I must be your sleep
I must be blinded
Keep it a question
Keep it a question
Keep it a question
I must be spoiled
I must be behind
I must be asleep
I must be fearful
Keep it a question
Love ain't a secret
Keep it a question
Keep it a question
I must be two lips
I must be your sleep
I must plan to forget
I must be suffering
Keep it a question
Letting nothing on
Let's keep it a question
Keep it a question
Love ain't a secret
Let it stop within
You got some question about your life
You don't know how you'll ever make it through
It hurts so bad but it's all you got
You're asking me for help
but all I got to say now is that
You don't know what pain is
You haven't suffered one iota
so just stop your whining
you don't know what pain is
Stop complaining point your finger
I'll tell you who to blame
So pack your bags
we're going out
I want to show you
just what's in this world
Cause in the end its all you got
memories to tell about your life
and how you lived it
So live it good
I know it's all that you've given
You don't know what pain is
You haven't suffered one iota
so just stop your whining
You don't know what pain is
stop complaining
point your finger
Friends for a long time, but I think we should have
fucked.
Friends for a long time; maybe you don’t want to see
the rest of me.
Friends hold a safety, keep a line and never cross
that.
Lovers take it further and I don’t want to see our
trust ever lost.
Some would say this could be a great foundation for
something more.
Some would say I’m just afraid to look beyond this
door.
But if we stop right now we could go back to what we
were before.
I just don’t know. I’m just not that sure.
What it all comes down to of course is the question of
trust.
But are you really capable of being there when I really
must?
What about those days when I just fall apart?
I’m relying on bravado. You know I made it and often.
Some would say this could be a great foundation for
something more.
Some would say I’m just afraid to look beyond this
door.
But if we stop right now we could go back to what we
were before.
I just don’t know. I’m just not that sure.
So let me explain. Your childhood seems relatively
sane.
It seems to me you got it all from your family.
Do you want to know my history?
Do you want to know my history?
Do you really want to know my history?
I would say this could be a great foundation for
something more.
I would say I’m just afraid to look beyond this door.
But if we stop right now we could go back to what we
were before.
Sweet berries ready for two ghosts are no different than you.
Ghosts are now waiting for you...
Are you...
Sweet berries ready for two ghosts are no different than you.
Ghosts are now waiting for you...
Are you...
Dreaming! Dreaming the night! Dreaming all right!
Do we! Do we know, when we FLY?
When we, when we go
Do we die?
Sweet berries ready for two ghosts are no different than you.
Ghosts are now waiting for you...
Are you...
Sweet berries ready for two ghosts are no different than you.
Ghosts are now waiting for you...
Are you...
Dreaming! Dreaming the night! Dreaming all right!
Do we! Do we know, when we FLY?
When we, when we go
Do we die
LALALALALALLALAALALALALALAALALALALA
Do we, do we know
When we fly
When we, when we go
Do we die
