A train station, also called a railroad station (mainly in the United States) or railway station (mainly in the British Commonwealth) and often shortened to just station, is a railway facility where trains regularly stop to load or unload passengers or freight. It generally consists of a platform next to the track and a station building (depot) providing related services such as ticket sales and waiting rooms. If a station is on a single track main line, it usually has a passing loop to facilitate the traffic. The smallest stations are referred to as 'stops' or, mainly in the British Commonwealth, 'halts' (flag stops). Connections may be available to intersecting rail lines or other transport modes such as buses or rapid transit systems.
The world's oldest railway station built for steam locomotives still in use is Broad Green railway station in Liverpool, England, which was built in 1830 and is on the Liverpool to Manchester Line. The world's oldest terminal station was Crown Street railway station in Liverpool, built in 1830, also on the Liverpool to Manchester line. The station was the first to incorporate a Train shed. The station was demolished in 1836 as the Liverpool terminal station moved to Lime Street railway station. The station was converted to a Goods station terminal.

Pacing, Thinking, Pacing, Thinking
waiting, waiting
Waiting by the phone that never rings
Waiting for the letter
That the postman never brings
Telling me that you're sorry, that you miss me
That I was rightm that I was wrong
That we could work it out and get along
But I'm waiting for the words that never come
Sitting smoking in the doorway in Dinkytown
Waiting patiently for you to come around
Thinking if I lok hard enough
Into each passing face
Maybe they'll turn into you
Or someone to take your place
But the people and days pass
And I'm still sitting, thinking
Drinking on the platform at the station
Drowning my sorrows
Waiting for the train to come
Having so much fun, wish you were here
Cuz it's been years since the trains have run
And I'm still waiting, waiting, waiting
For your circle days
A little bit of sunshine
Feel drops of water and footsteps
The soul pushes against the stairs alone
With pianos in your hair
That's when I wish for you in the train station
When there's only you with your sweating
On your forehead and
I wish you a sunny day, a clearer sky
And the warmth of soft hands
Against your cheeks
In the train station
Where I disappear
You can see me here in down there
With my ??????
I see you where you stand at night
Wish you good days
Good days
For your circle days
A little bit of sunshine
A little bit of sunshine
Just a little bit more sunshine (sunshine)
Just a little bit of sunshine
Just a little bit more
In the train station
I'll see you there behind ???
When you look at your own forehead and think
Is it what if I could not ??? a little bit only
I wish you a sunny day
Even if outside there's rain
I wish you a sunny day
Sunny, sunny day
I wish you a sunny day
Com muito, muito sol
Muito sol
All alone on a Saturday night
Drunk and broke under the city lights
My friends have come my friends have gone
And now I'm growing old
The plastic smiles of the passerbys
A look of discontent in their eyes
The atmosphere is running dry
The Vibe is feeling cold
Feeling cold
Left behind in the city tonight
there's nothing left in this place
I gotta get up and go
Left behind in the city tonight
But its never too late
To catch a train to the show
Left behind in the city tonight
Still have yet to find a place
That I can call my home
Left behind in the city tonight
I can hear the distant sound
From the streets below
Left behind in the city tonight
Everything's changed over the passing time
This ambition of dreams
Has left me wanting more
Train of satisfaction rolling by
Nothing to lose gonna hitch a ride
Cause satisfaction
Is the only thing I'm living for
Living for
Left behind in the city tonight
there's nothing left in this place
I gotta get up and go
Left behind in the city tonight
But its never too late
To catch a train to the show
Left behind in the city tonight
Still have yet to find a place
That I can call my home
Left behind in the city tonight
I can hear the distant sound
From the streets below
I can hear the sound from the streets below
Come on and follow me we'll make it to the show
Come on come on
