Casino is a 1995 crime drama film directed by Martin Scorsese. It is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Nicholas Pileggi, who also co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Scorsese. The two previously collaborated on the 1990 hit film Goodfellas.
The film marks the eighth and (to date) final collaboration between director Scorsese and Robert de Niro, following Mean Streets (1973), Taxi Driver (1976), New York, New York (1977), Raging Bull (1980), The King of Comedy (1983), Goodfellas (1990), and Cape Fear (1991).
De Niro stars as Sam "Ace" Rothstein, a Jewish-American top gambling handicapper who is called by the Mob to oversee the day-to-day operations at the fictional Tangiers casino in Las Vegas. The story is based on Frank Rosenthal, who ran the Stardust, Fremont and the Hacienda casinos in Las Vegas for the Chicago Outfit from the 1970s until the early 1980s.
Joe Pesci plays Nicky Santoro, based on real-life mob enforcer Anthony Spilotro. Nicky is sent to Vegas to make sure that money from the Tangiers is skimmed off the top and that the mobsters in Vegas are kept in line. Sharon Stone plays Ginger, Ace's wife, a role that earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

Plot
Matt and Sam are life-long friends running a funky gift shop while trying to come up with the next genius idea. Matt's recent inventions haven't been all that inventive and Sam's salesman techniques are shaky at best. In need of money, they turn to Matt's girlfriend, Gina. Gina wants to help out but aware of Matt and Sam's gambling problems in the past, and concerned that they have come back, she no longer knows if she can trust him. Even Matt and Sam's friendship is put to the test when they hit rock bottom and try to get normal jobs, but all Matt needs is one bright idea and he might be able to right everything.
It only takes one idea.
Sam: What's your handicap?::Cinda: A six.::Sam: Mine too. Well, a six-pack. I'm a really good drinker.
Matt: A guy in a bar told me once; if you wonder what God thinks about money, look at who he gives it to.
Sam: Did you see the choppers on that guy? I don't trust somebody that can swallow their own fist.
Gina: No, Matt, I've been up since six.::Matt: I've been up about a minute and a half.
Matt: Like Edison said, if you want to have a good idea, have a lot of them.
Sam: Dealer's sitting on a sixteen, hits a five. Unbelievable.
Matt: I love Sam like a brother, but he drives me crazy. Not a word goes into his head that doesn't come out of his mouth.
Louisa: They've got a hot rock massage that'll make you wet and I don't mean sweat.
Sam: I'm going to share something I learned a long time ago... women can't stay mad. They are amazingly resilient creatures. You can forget anniversaries, get drunk and show your ass in front of you in-laws. They'll forgive all those things. But don't, do not get caught cheating Bro. They don't like it.
Gina: C'mon Matt. How many failed products have you had lately. The TV cap? Watch TV while you jog?
Plot
How would you react if three years after the death of your father, you receive a letter signed by him inviting you to visit an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere in China? Curious in nature, you decide to set off on this adventure. Here's the snag, when you arrive in front of the house (which looks more like a bunker), you realize that there are other visitors summoned as well. Four guys show up with the same letter you have! All five characters, Monk, Casino, Black Jack, Shang and Poker have something in common. All carry guns, have dangerous reputations and are wanted by the police. Unexpectedly the door to the house is opened by a mysterious woman and shortly after entering they notice that they are all locked inside. The house is surrounded by police and they can not escape the psychotic killer that wants to wipe them out. After shocking plot twists and with a growing suspicion of each other, they come to realize that they have only one hour to live.
Plot
Gary is a charming guy, but Linda is tired of his grand plans and schemes. All of which have gone down the drain. Gary is a 'scalper'. Together with his friends and his 'Guardian Angel', Benny, he buys tickets to events and sells them off at highly increased prices. This doesn't really make him rich and proves to be more difficult than usual when a new guy gets into town, strong-arming all of Gary's sources. But then the gift of heaven arrives. The Pope is coming for a visit. Gary wants to make a lot of money on this so he can finally get one of his (more decent) plans for Linda off the ground and really work on a lasting relationship with her.

J'ai eu des illusions
Et puis des certitudes
Et, comme au casino,
J'ai tout perdu d'un coup.
Le rouge au lieu du noir,
Le mauvais numéro,
Le quart d'heure du chanceux
Et, tout à coup le trou.
Lorsque j'étais enfant,
J'étais admiratif.
On me croyait idiot
Parce qu'inoffensif.
C'est comme au casino :
Deux paires, c'est rien du tout
Mais ça ramasse un pot
Et beaucoup de jaloux
Et puis j'ai joué l'amour,
Un jeu épouvantable.
J'ai misé sur toujours
Et banco sur la table,
Mais, comme au casino,
La boule va où elle veut.
Le tapis était vert,
Elle avait les yeux bleus.
A n'importe quel âge,
La gloire est un problème.
On le résout toujours
En brÃ'lant ceux qu'on aime.
C'est comme au casino.
On joue la martingale
Et puis sort le zéro
Et le rideau final,
Et puis sort le zéro
Et le rideau final.
With every breath we grow furthur apart
Sometimes I wish we didn't know how to talk
And as we sort out the who said you said
Who said I said
I only wish I came a little better prepared
5 am these things will pass
Tomorrow won't be our last
Funny how I'm always here with you
I never meant to change your world
Or change your point of view
I only want to hold you when I feel a little blue
I hope you know I'll always be there for you
I know by now I should be sound asleep
But my mind won't let me it feels like it's going to explode
I'll say that you're right
If you just say that I'm right
Let's hit the hay and call this case closed
5 am things get so strange
Tomorrow's a brand new day
Funny how I'm always here with you
I never meant to change your world
Or change your point of view
I only want to hold you when I feel a little blue
I hope you know I'll always be there for you
Funny how I'm always here with you
I never meant to change your world
Or change your point of view
I only want to hold you when I feel a little blue
I hope you know I'll always be there for you
I'll always be there for you
Sais-tu pourquoi on t'traque gars!
Sais-tu pourquoi on t'traque?
Tu sais pourquoi on t'traque gars?
Tu sais pourquoi on t'traque ?

Thirties wasted suddenly
Forties opened next stage
Fifties chose Presley
Jimi's magic in seventies
Eighties such as Olympics
UK found Nineties
No one played to be free
Everyone knows what a hip is
But doesn't know what happens
We can't leave Rock 'n' Roll in the future
Who's teacher?
Rock 'n' Roll archeology
Do you wanna be archeologist?
Rock 'n' Roll is perfect origin, human being
You are the origin
Do not forget sixties
God give us pentatonic
This is the most what I need
No one played suddenly
Everyone knows what a hip is
But doesn't know what happens
We can't leave Rock 'n' Roll in the future
Who's teacher?
Rock 'n' Roll archeology
Do you wanna be archeologist?

I sing la la la...
Everything is complicated all day long
Everything is empty all night long
Everything is complicated all day long
Everything is empty
La la la...
I sing this song for you
I sing this song for you
I sing this song for you...
I speak it loud throughout the night
I pick it out until the time
Breathe enough to compromise
Your dreams which are fabulous & wise
I may believe a space in man
Your breakdown lets me go mad
I breathe enough to compromise your fate
You're foolish but tough
I breathe enough to compromise my fate
Give me your mind
Clayish brave makes me so numb
Playing games, I feel your love
I try to give me your sound
[Hook]
Bad bitches, yeah, they love a thug
They want a rich nigga sellin' drugs
Heard a nigga workin' with a plug
Now she tied to me like a book
Tell your hoe I blow them stacks, nigga
Tell your bitch I blow them stacks, nigga
Tell your hoe I blow them stacks, nigga
Yeah, yeah – she know I blow them stacks, nigga
[Verse 1]
Tell your bitch I've got a truckload
Tell your hoe I've got the streets in a chokehold
Tell your bitch I've got all the cash
My hoe in the mall grabbin' all types of bags
If you tell her somethin', make sure you tell her this:
Casino stay down and he driving foreign whips
I've got a hustle the same size as...
My brother... make it look like...
Tell your hoe that, if you tell her somethin'
Tell her money pilin', if you tell her somethin'
All the bitches love me 'cause I'm sellin' somethin'
And I'm a motherfuckin' boss and I ain't tellin' nothin'
[Hook]
[Verse 2]
A nigga all straight – I've got plugs on plugs
Got a lot of cake – all my niggas sellin' drugs

Every time I fucked her with another bitch, she noticed
[Hook]
[Verse 3]
All these bad hoes want a Blood
Oops, I mean “bloody” – for them stacks we leave you bloody
We get down and dirty, I mean muddy
Woke up to the A, the home of that red clay
And ain't shit sweet, so why they call us the Peach Gang?
See, money at a young age, it fucked up my mindstate
Or did it?
It was always trap or die
And I ain't die, so I guess I did it
We was serving magic rounds

And it's all about us, so let's get it
And it get cold in them streets, so bring your mittens
Casino the ex drug dealer is on in six minutes
Dirty like business...
[Hook]
[Hook]
First you get the quarter
Then you get the water and you whip it 'til it's harder
Second-guess a pound, and then they get the spot split up
Curl up all your dough and then you trap it 'til it's hot
Third, get that chopper, look out for them robbers
If a nigga want it with ya make him scream like an opera
All these bitch niggas, they haters – these bitches, they can be haters

Paper, paper, paper...
These the rules and regulations when you get to that paper
Paper, paper, paper...
[Verse 1]

Standing at the stove, you know I whip it 'til it's harder
Hit the corner, stay down 'til your money can't fold
Go and buy a chopper just in case the robbers on patrol
Fuck hangin' with these niggas 'cause they be tryna set you up
I sold it by myself, stayed down, and I ran it up
Keep some workers in the spot – keep some shooters in the spot
Keep some weed in the spot – keep some crack in the spot
Locked down the whole block, you've got to come and fuck with me
Anything you need, you know I got it for the cheap
You got an application? Fill it out, I'll put you in the spot
Teach you how to get that money, show you how to sell the block
[Hook]
[Verse 2]
...a problem in the street, they don't understand, it's got rules
The problem with these young niggas
is they don't understand paying dues
Want to jump in and out of Coupes, but I ain't sold the whole thing
I moves all my weight, I call it musclecaine
I ride through everywhere, I keep that chopper thing
For them... he's gon' draw, like Kurt Cobain
He got jammed, didn't snitch, shout-out to my runner
Three things that I live by: hoes, drugs, money
Pick any nigga out any 'hood, they ain't fuckin' with me

I found a half of mine
I lost it when I was born
Maybe that's not perfect one
So I keep to seek a half of mine
When I think you there is not
I think it equal to you
That is not a woman all
I can't see the shape of truth
I feel, when I hear the voice of John
Love is an imperfect answer
Words are caught in prison of soul
So I get to display it by strings
As I live through my life
I feel it going blank
Give me some pills to heal my clear heart pure enough
Then I feel this world full of perfect lies
When I drink and smoke
I get illusions
All logics and metaphor can't work in it
I cry...
Close the door
Close the door
Don't speak a single word
Yes your on the guest list like everyone
Everyone, this our new recruit
Give the man some fine wine and fruit
We do try to have some fun
We do try to have some fun
We do try to have some fun
To have some fun.
Roll the dice

You are in luck today
You could always choose to just look away
Look away, his legs are not there at all
He lost them for a tin medal

We do try to have some fun
We do try to have some fun
To have some fun.
