Andrzej Wajda (Polish pronunciation: [ˈandʐɛj ˈvajda]; born 6 March 1926) is a Polish film director. Recipient of an honorary Oscar, he is possibly the most prominent member of the unofficial "Polish Film School" (active c. 1955 to 1963). He is known especially for a trilogy of war films: A Generation (1954), Kanał (1956) and Ashes and Diamonds (1958).
Four of his films have been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film: The Promised Land (1975),The Maids of Wilko (1979), Man of Iron (1981), and Katyń (2007).
Wajda was born in Suwałki, Poland, the son of Aniela (née Biaxowas), a school teacher, and Jakub Wajda, an army officer. Wajda' father was murdered by the Soviets in 1940 in what came to be known as the Katyn massacre. In 1942 he joined the Polish resistance and served in the Armia Krajowa. After the war, he studied to be a painter at Kraków's Academy of Fine Arts before entering the Łódź Film School.
After Wajda's apprenticeship to director Aleksander Ford, Wajda was given the opportunity to direct his own film. With A Generation (1955), the first-time director poured out his disillusionment over jingoism, using as his alter ego a young, James Dean-style antihero played by Zbigniew Cybulski, 22-year-old Roman Polanski also featured. At the same time Andrzej Wajda began his work as a director in theatre, including such as Michael V. Gazzo's Hatful of Rain (1959), Hamlet (1960), and Two for the Seesaw (1963) by William Gibson. Wajda made two more increasingly accomplished films, which developed further the anti-war theme of A Generation: Kanał (1956) [Silver Palm at Cannes Festival in 1957, ex equo with Bergman's The Seventh Seal and Ashes and Diamonds (1958), again with Cybulski.

Fonda has been an activist for many political causes; her opposition to the Vietnam War and associated activities were controversial. She has also protested the Iraq War and violence against women. She describes herself as a liberal and a feminist. In 2005, Fonda worked alongside Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem to co-found the Women's Media Center, an organization that works to amplify the voices of women in the media through advocacy, media and leadership training, and the creation of original content. Fonda currently serves on the board of the organization. Since 2001, Fonda has been a Christian. She published an autobiography in 2005, and in 2011, she published a second memoir, Prime Time.
Jasbir Jassi (Punjabi: ਜਸਬੀਰ ਜੱਸੀ; born February 7, 1970 in Dalla Mirjanpur Village, Gurdaspur, Punjab, India) is a Punjabi singer and actor. As of 2010[update] he has released eight albums, his first pop album being Dil Le Gayee, released in 1998.
As a child, Jassi played the harmonium. He quit engineering to study classical music under V.S. Jolly and later under Puran Shah Koti of the Sufiana fame. Ustad Shaukat Ali Khan and Baba Kashmira Singh also heavily influenced his singing style. He holds a Masters degree in classical vocal music from Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar.[citation needed]

Jasbir Jassi then started recording for Punjabi films including Passport and Zakhmi[citation needed] in the late 1980s.[when?] He also sang for remix albums such as Balle Balbiro Balle. His first album release was the 1993 low-profile Channa Ve Teri Channani. He featured along with Charanjit Ahuja in the music video of “Channa ve Teri Channi”. This was followed-up with a string of hit albums - ‘Dil Le Gayee’(1998), ‘Kudi Kudi’(1999), ‘Nishani Pyar Di’(2001), ‘Just Jassi’(2003), ‘Mukhda Chann Varga’(2004) and ‘Akh Mastani’(2007). Jassi - Back with a Bang is his latest album, featuring the songs "Mehndi" and title song "Bang". It was released on 16 July 2010 worldwide.

Plot
A writer-director known for becoming obsessed with his own stories, Jacob Falk stumbles upon photographs of prisoners of war being tortured by Danish soldiers. Suspecting a political conspiracy, Falk falls into a frenetic chase to reveal the mystery behind the photos which leads him to discover a truth more disturbing than he imagined.
