There are always a few random rivalries in country music. On Wednesday, Rolling Stone shared what Eric Church had to say in a recent interview about Taylor Swift. He doesn't hate her no matter what people make it sound like. Once upon a time, Taylor made a joke that she wanted to thank Eric Church for getting kicked off the Rascal Flatts tour. It helped her career because she got his spot, but it didn't mean she didn't like him.
When asked about Taylor in a recent interview, Eric said, "I love Taylor. I love her art her creatively, we're buds. All of a sudden I'm calling out Taylor, and it couldn't have been farther from the truth. It was the most insane thing. It was so blown out of proportion. I've never had anything that blown out of proportion. The reason we took it down was I didn't like how the dialog was starting to shift to stalkers – the dialog went there. And I didn't like that dialog. It was never intended. Taylor and I laughed about it later. My son [two-year-old Boone] knows who she is when she comes on TV. He calls her Aunt Tay Tay. I told her that, she loved it."
Eric Church does get a hard time for comments that he has made in the past. Sometimes he doesn't think before he speaks. This comment is one that will help him look great to fans and that is just what he needs for his career.
That is great to hear. Taylor Swift and Eric Church really don't have bad blood at all. These two country artists are just fine and will continue to get along. Hopefully they can continue to get along just fine in the future.
