Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, answered questions from MPs in the House of Commons on Wednesday 12 March 2014.

The Deputy Prime Minister answered questions on behalf of the Prime Minister, David Cameron, who was visiting Israel.

To find out more about this week\'s questions, including links to the transcript, visit: http://www.parliament.uk/pmqs-12-march-2014.

Prime Minister\'s Question Time

Question Time in the House of Commons is an opportunity for MPs to question government ministers about matters for which they are responsible.

Prime Minister\'s Question Time, also referred to as PMQs, takes place every Wednesday that the House of Commons is sitting and gives MPs the chance to put questions to the Prime Minister.

In most cases, the session starts with a routine \'open question\' from an MP about the Prime Minister\'s engagements. MPs can then ask supplementary questions on any subject, often one of current political significance.

Opposition MPs follow up on this or another topic, usually led by the Leader of the Opposition, Edward Miliband. Usually, he is the only MP allowed to come back with further questions.

When the Deputy Prime Minister takes Prime Minister\'s Questions, Opposition questions will usually be led by the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Harriet Harman.

Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, answered questions from MPs in the House of Commons on Wednesday 12 March 2014. The Deputy Prime Minister answered questions on behalf of the Prime Minister, David Cameron, who was visiting Israel. To find out more about this week's questions, including links to the transcript, visit: http://www.parliament.uk/pmqs-12-march-2014. Prime Minister's Question Time Question Time in the House of Commons is an opportunity for MPs to question government ministers about matters for which they are responsible. Prime Minister's Question Time, also referred to as PMQs, takes place every Wednesday that the House of Commons is sitting and gives MPs the chance to put questions to the Prime Minister. In most cases, the session starts with a routine 'open question' from an MP about the Prime Minister's engagements. MPs can then ask supplementary questions on any subject, often one of current political significance. Opposition MPs follow up on this or another topic, usually led by the Leader of the Opposition, Edward Miliband. Usually, he is the only MP allowed to come back with further questions. When the Deputy Prime Minister takes Prime Minister's Questions, Opposition questions will usually be led by the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Harriet Harman. An apparent gas explosion has levelled two buildings and sparked a fire in New York City, killing at least three people and injuring more than 50 others. Two five-storey buildings were reduced to rubble in the blast near Park Avenue and 116th Street in East Harlem. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said more than a dozen people were missing, and that a search effort would begin after firefighters put out the blaze. The mayor emphasised that some of those considered missing could be in another location and authorities are attempting to make contact with all concerned. "This will take quite a bit of time to address," he said. New York's Hunter College identified one of the victims as Griselde Camacho, a security officer who had worked for the college since 2008. Carmen Tanco, 67, a dental hygienist, was also killed in the blast. The identity of the third victim, thought to be a woman in her 40s, has not been confirmed. The fire department said two others suffered life-threatening injuries, while five more suffered serious injuries. The remaining injuries have been classified as minor. Witnesses reported hearing a large explosion around 9.30am, after a local resident reported smelling natural gas. A spokesman for Con Edison said the utility company dispatched two crews, but the blast occurred before they arrived. The utility said the person who reported the gas smell said he thought the odour could be coming from outside. Mr de Blasio said crews from Con Edison and other utilities were working to shut down services to the area. Aerial footage showed a large plume of smoke billowing over the Upper Manhattan skyline and debris scattered across the pavement and vehicles parked on adjacent streets. Waldemar Infante, who was working in the basement of the neighbouring building when the explosion took place, said it felt like an earthquake. "There were glass shards everywhere on the ground and all the stores had their windows blown out," he said. 3 dead, 63 hurt as NY buildings collapse Harlem Explosion Causes Collapse Of Two Buildings, Multiple Deaths Reported Two killed, 22 injured in New York building explosion BREAKING NEWS...NYC building explodes, 11 minor injuries reported Gas blast destroys 2 NY buildings; 3 people dead East Harlem Building Blast Causes At Least Three Deaths, Dozens of Injuries 3 dead, 63 hurt as NY buildings collapse Three Dead, 63 Hurt as NY Buildings Collapse Metro-North Restores All Service; Expect Delays [Updated] Explosion Kills 2; Suspends Metro-North Service [Updated] New York building explodes, collapses 4 Dead, 74 Hurt, Others Missing in Explosion, Collapse Caused by Gas Leak 3 Now Dead in NYC Explosion, 9 Missing Death toll of New York building collapse rises to 3 Explosion kills 2, injures 18 in US Metro-North riders handle delays, diversions after blast 3 people killed as blast topples 2 NYC buildings Three Killed In Massive Explosion In New York City NYC buildings explosion kills 3, others missing Two dead, 22 hurt as NY buildings collapse Two NY City buildings collapse in explosion Two killed, 22 injured in New York building explosion Gas blast destroys N.Y. buildings, killing three NYC buildings explosion kills three, others missing America's Gas Infrastructure Is Getting Dangerously Old East Harlem Fire, Harlem Building Explosion, East Harlem, East Harlem Explosion, Harlem Building Collapse, Harlem Fire, Fdny Harlem, Video, Ny News, Bad News, Harlem Explosion, Fdny, Politics News Harlem, Christianity, Spanish Christian Church, Harlem Explosion, Spanish Christian Church Fatalities, Harlem Natural Gas Explosion, East Harlem Explosion, Harlem Building Collapse, New York, New York City, Spanish Christian Church Destroyed, Spanish Christian Church Explosion, Religion News Mayor Bill De Blasio, Bill De Blasio Harlem Explosion, De Blasio Harlem Explosion, Mayor De Blasio, Harlem Explosion, East Harlem Explosion, Harlem Building Collapse, De Blasio Harlem, Crime News New York city department of building,New York city,East Harlem apartment Explosion,East Harlem Fire,Harlem Building Explosion,East Harlem,East Harlem Explosion,Harlem Building Collapse,Harlem Fire,Fdny Harlem,NY News,News,Harlem Explosion,Fdny,Crime News,Harlem Natural Gas Explosion,Bill De Blasio Harlem Explosion,De Blasio Harlem,NYC building explodes,Blast in East Harlem Building,New York Gas Explosion,Gas Explosion Hits East Harlem,

The Final Outcome with the Oil Tanker: http://m.voanews.com/a/libyan-parliament-dumps-pm-over-oil-dispute/1869347.html Tripoli, Libya (CNN) -- Libya's prime minister threatened Saturday night to bomb a North Korean-flagged ship that had entered a rebel-held oil port, calling the ship's arrival there a "violation of international law." Prime Minister Ali Zeidan said if the ship does not follow orders, "it will be bombed and this could lead to an environmental disaster." The vessel, dubbed Morning Glory, docked late Friday night in the oil port of As-Sidra. Zeidan said the ship's captain subsequently was warned by phone, though the captain responded that local militia on board did not allow them to depart. Libyan government officials spoke with diplomats at North Korea's embassy in Tripoli, Zeidan said. He added that information showed a "Gulf nation" owned the ship and that it is registered in North Korea. A spokesman for Libya's National Oil Corporation indicated the tanker was Saudi owned, but Saudi Arabia's embassy released a statement saying it had nothing to do with the ship. In addition, an arrest warrant has been issued for the oil tanker's captain and "the use of armed force, as necessary," has been authorized, according to Zeidan. The situation speaks to the unsettled situation in the North African nation, which the government is struggling to control more than two years after the ouster of longtime Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi. In this case, the issue centers around the oil-rich eastern part of the country and one man in particular, Ibrahim Jadran. The militia leader was entrusted by the government to safeguard crucial oil ports. But last July, Jadran and his men seized them, blocking oil exports, and demanded more autonomy and shared revenues for his eastern region.......
