South Dakota’s McKenzie Haley reigns as Miss Rodeo America 2011

Cowgirl McKenzie Haley was crowned Miss Rodeo America in December, during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wearing the Miss Rodeo America crown, serving as “The First Lady of Professional Rodeo,” South Dakota’s McKenzie Haley will tour the United States to promote rodeo activities nationally.

“I am so proud and honored to serve as Miss Rodeo America,” Miss Rodeo America 2011 McKenzie Haley commented. “This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. Miss Rodeo America has the opportunity to touch the lives of current and future rodeo fans, to be a source of information about rodeo and the western lifestyle, and to be a role-model for young people across the country”.

Who is Miss Rodeo America 2011 – McKenzie Haley?

An undergraduate student at Black Hills State University, in Spearfish, South Dakota, McKenzie Haley is majoring in Elementary Education. She has expressed intentions of pursuing a graduate degree in school psychology. The $20,000 Miss Rodeo America scholarship will surely help her to achieve these academic objectives.

McKenzie Haley is a resident of Winner, South Dakota, where she graduated from Winner High School, home of the Winner Warriors.
