Sydney home values hit record highs
House values in our capital cities have hit a record high, driven by accelerating prices in Sydney & Melbourne. Sydney's median house values rose by 2.5% in September, Melbourne up 2.5% down elsewhere.
Retail spend rise but still sluggish?
Retail spending has recorded its second consecutive monthly rise but growth in the sector remains sluggish. Retail trade rose 0.4% in August, the ABS reported, slightly above the market forecast of a rise of 0.3%.
