Brian Stuard

Brian Stuard (born December 10, 1982) is an American professional golfer.

Stuard was born in Jackson, Michigan. He attended Oakland University and turned professional in 2005.

Stuard played on the NGA Hooters Tour in 2006 and 2007. He has played on the Nationwide Tour since 2008. He finished tied for 19th at the 2009 PGA Tour Qualifying School to earn his PGA Tour card for 2010. On the PGA Tour in 2010, he played in 28 events and made 13 cuts. His best finish was a tie for second at the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun. He finished 154th on the money list and returned to the Nationwide Tour in 2011.

Stuard regained his PGA Tour card after graduating from the Web.com Tour in 2012.

PGA Tour

The PGA Tour (officially rendered in all capital letters, as PGA TOUR) is the organizer of the main professional golf tours played primarily by men in the United States and North America. It organizes most of the events on the flagship annual series of tournaments also known as the PGA Tour, as well as the Champions Tour (for golfers age 50 and older) and the Web.com Tour (for professional players who have not yet qualified to play in the PGA Tour), as well as PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and PGA Tour China. It is headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, a suburb of Jacksonville.

Originally established by the Professional Golfers' Association of America, it was spun off in December 1968 into a separate organization for tour players, as opposed to club professionals, the focal members of today's PGA of America. Originally the "Tournament Players Division," it adopted the name "PGA Tour" in 1975 and runs most of the week-to-week professional golf events on the tournament known as the PGA Tour, including The Players Championship, hosted at TPC Sawgrass, the FedEx Cup, with its finale at The Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club, and the biennial Presidents Cup. The remaining events on the PGA Tour are run by different organizations, as are the U.S.-based LPGA Tour for women and the other men's and women's professional tours around the world.

Zurich Classic of New Orleans

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is a regular golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It is played annually in New Orleans, Louisiana; its historic date has been in April, but was moved to March in 2008. Zurich Insurance Group is the main sponsor of the tournament. It is organized by the Fore!Kids Foundation.

From the event's inception through 2004, it was played at a series of courses in New Orleans. It began at the City Park Golf Courses in New Orleans City Park, where it was played until 1962. From 1963 until 1988, the event began its lengthy relationship with Lakewood Country Club before shifting to English Turn Golf & Country Club from 1989–2004. In 2005, it was played at the TPC of Louisiana in Avondale, Louisiana, but damage done to the course by Hurricane Katrina forced the event back to English Turn G&CC in 2006. It returned to the TPC of Louisiana in 2007.

New Orleans

New Orleans (/nuː ˈɔːrlɪnz/,/nuː ˈɔːrliənz/, /nuː ɔːrˈliːnz/, or /ˈnɔːrlənz/; French: La Nouvelle-Orléans [la nuvɛlɔʁleɑ̃]) is a major United States port and the largest city and the center of the metropolitan area in the state of Louisiana. The population of the city was 343,829 as of the 2010 U.S. Census. The New Orleans metropolitan area (New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner Metropolitan Statistical Area) had a population of 1,167,764 in 2010 and was the 46th largest in the United States. The New Orleans–Metairie–Bogalusa Combined Statistical Area, a larger trading area, had a 2010 population of 1,452,502.

The city is named after the Duke of Orleans, who reigned as Regent for Louis XV from 1715 to 1723, as it was established by French colonists and strongly influenced by their European culture. It is well known for its distinct French and Spanish Creole architecture, as well as its cross-cultural and multilingual heritage. New Orleans is also famous for its cuisine, music (particularly as the birthplace of jazz), and its annual celebrations and festivals, most notably Mardi Gras, dating to French colonial times. Brian

Brian (sometimes spelled Bryan) is a male given name of Irish and Breton origin, as well as a surname of Occitan origin. It is common in the English-speaking world. It is possible that the name is derived from an Old Celtic word meaning "high" or "noble". For example, the element bre means "hill"; which could be transferred to mean "eminence" or "exalted one". The name is quite popular in Ireland, on account of Brian Boru, a 10th-century king of Ireland. The name was also quite popular in East Anglia during the Middle Ages. This is because the name was introduced to England by Bretons following the Norman Conquest. Bretons also settled in Ireland along with the Normans in the 12th century, and 'their' name was mingled with the 'Irish' version.
