Breaking news today from WSB radio reporter, Pete Combs, in Georgia USA, has once again put a blazing spotlight on Narconon drug rehabs. Armed with a search warrant, several agents accompanied by “two Gwinnett County Police officers searched the Narconon offices in Norcross, questioning employees as they showed up for work and hauling away more than a dozen computers and boxes full of documents.” http://tinyurl.com/coxrq3j
“We have credible information that indicates that insurance fraud is taking place with Narconon,” said Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens.
“Much of that information was supplied by the family of 19-year old Emily Morton of Rome, who said Narconon tried to bill United Health Care $166,000 for her treatment after they were told they had paid the bill in full - $15,000 cash.”
“They were billing for doctor visits – one amount was for $58,000.00. And she never even saw the doctor,” Morton said.
“From talking to some of the physicians,” Hudgens told WSB’s Pete Combs, “They have not performed the services that have been billed for.”
Although Narconons around the globe are separate from Scientology corporately, all control policies, directives, and administration of Narconon, is through the Scientology chain of command.
With investigators hauling away computers and documents -- looking for who might have been responsible for any false billings to insurance companies, Scientology’s leader, David Miscavige, could have major headaches for quite some time.
Lucas Catton, ex-President of Scientology’s flagship, Narconon Arrowhead, posted a comment on Tony Ortega’s ‘Underground Bunker” website today:

“…I hope that the DA's office is able to examine more than just the insurance fraud stuff. They seized all of their files and computers and are going to find a LOT more than they bargained for. Detailed reports to OSA, ABLE Int. and NN Int. on things, evidence of staff and student illegal activities (drug use and sexual impropriety), plots against people, other forms of fraud and SO much more….”
Narconon is now facing 20 lawsuits across the USA and 5 cases in Canada against Narconon et al. under investigation by the Quebec Human Rights Commission.
And perhaps David Miscavige has good reason to be concerned if Scientology’s criminal history is about to repeat itself. The last time agents seized documents in the USA and Canada, several Scientologists in the USA were sent to federal prison and the Scientology organization in Canada was convicted in criminal court for ‘Breach of Public Trust.’
David Miscavige and Scientology is named directly in at least 3 Narconon formal complaints and ongoing investigations.
