The style that was universally present in the Exposition was Art Nouveau. Exposition Universelle viewMore than 50 million people attended the exhibition (a world record at the time), yet it still failed to turn a profit, costing the French government 2000000 Francs. The fair included more than 76000 exhibitors and covered 1.12 square kilometres of Paris. The Exposition Universelle was where talking films and escalators were first publicized, and where Campbell's Soup was awarded a gold medal (an image of which still appears on its label). At the Exposition Rudolf Diesel exhibited his diesel engine, running on peanut oil. Brief films of excerpts from opera and ballet are apparently the first films exhibited publicly with projection of both image and recorded sound. The Exposition also featured many panoramic paintings and extensions of the panorama technique, such as the Cinéorama, Mareorama, and Trans-Siberian Railway Panorama. The style that was universally present in the Exposition was Art Nouveau. Exposition Universelle viewMore than 50 million people attended the exhibition (a world record at the time), yet it still failed to turn a profit, costing the French government 2000000 Francs. The fair included more than 76000 exhibitors and covered 1.12 square kilometres of Paris. The Exposition Universelle was where talking films and escalators were first publicized, and where Campbell's Soup was awarded a gold medal (an image of which still appears on its label). At the Exposition Rudolf Diesel exhibited his diesel engine, running on peanut oil. Brief films of excerpts from opera and ballet are apparently the first films exhibited publicly with projection of both image and recorded sound. The Exposition also featured many panoramic paintings and extensions of the panorama technique, such as the Cinéorama, Mareorama, and Trans-Siberian Railway Panorama. Many owners provided advice, took pictures, and provided hard to find information and drawings. You all know who you are and I thank you. This is the first trailer, about my project of 3d reconstruction, of the Paris World's Fair in 1900. It's a project a bit giant, especially for only one guy... and only on his spare time... ...I've plane at leat 5-6 years of work, I hope to be able to keep along my motivation all along this time. The project is started since 1 year, and the elements of the first step are finished... the 15 first pavilions along the river Seine, the pavilions of the foreign's nations. My final goal is to do some documentaries... now, I have the material for the first one... I plane to finish it next year, in 2008. It remain much work to finish it, but I must continue in the same time to realize the buildings for the other parts of this event. Then, I've decided to do a kind of trailer, with some animated shots of each pavilions, with many angles, a kind of trailer, to patient until the first final film. Of course, it's far to be perfect, it's especially far to include all the elements, it's only made to show these 15 pavilions... more comes with the documentary... with other pavilions behind these 15, a Paris background, the environment, the flags in the wind, some birds in the sky, the Seine and the boats, the bridges and footbridges at each sides, the moving sidewalk, the electric train, and the most important... the crowd ! Su padre, Attilio, era poeta. Bernardo estudió en la Universidad de Roma, donde se ganó una cierta fama como poeta. Se inició en el mundo del cine realizando cortometrajes en 16 mm con su hermano Giuseppe. En 1961 hizo de ayudante de dirección en Accattone, primer largometraje de Pier Paolo Pasolini. Un año después se estrenaba como director con La commare secca.
En 1972 su película Il conformista fue candidata a los Óscar por el mejor guion adaptado. Dos años después él mismo era nominado para el Óscar a la mejor dirección, en esta ocasión para Ultimo tango a Parigi (El último tango en París). En 1976 dirige Novecento una superproducción sobre la historia de Italia con la colaboración de actores de la talla de Robert de Niro y Gerard Depardieu. Su obra más premiada en los Estados Unidos fue El último emperador (The Last Emperor), que ganó nueve estatuillas en 1988, además de otros premios internacionales.
El trabajo con Pasolini es una influencia que ha marcado toda su obra posterior, junto con la obra de otros directores como Godard, Kurosawa o los neorrealistas.
El suyo es un cine de autor. Sus principales características son un esmerado uso de la cámara y del montaje, y el trabajo de la fotografía con finalidades simbólicas.

La mayoría de sus películas transcurren en escenarios aparentemente intrascendentes —grises, si se quiere— para el espectador occidental estándar, con la importante excepción de un grupo de películas ambientadas en lugares más exóticos como en El último emperador, The Sheltering Sky y Pequeño Buda (Little Buddha).
Pero es destacable el hecho que la contextualización de la acción en escenarios europeos rehúye el recurso a los tópicos. El lugar de la acción parece, pues, un tanto accesorio a su devenir, insistiendo en las importantes excepciones antes mencionadas. Podríamos decir que las narraciones de Bertolucci parten de la cotidianidad para descubrir el surgimiento de la historia.

Dominique Sanda (nombre artístico de Dominique Marie-Françoise Renée Varaigne nacida el 11 de marzo de 1951 en París), es una actriz y modelo de la revista Vogue que destacó en algunas películas emblemáticas del cine europeo de los 70. Fue uno de los rostros de la década solicitada por célebres realizadores. Posteriormente se destacó como actriz teatral en francés, italiano y español.
Dominique Varaigne, es hija de Gérard Varaigne y de Lucienne Pichon. Cursó sus estudios en la Escuela de las Hermanas de Saint-Vincent-de Paul, en París. Estudia en la Escuela de Arte Decorativo en París y en 1966 gana el concurso de belleza del Casino Mauresque, luego trabaja como modelo para Vogue, Elle y Glamour.
La descubre Robert Bresson e inicia una meteórica carrera cinematográfica filmando más de 50 películas hasta la fecha.
Desde 1993 ha trabajado en teatro en Francia, Italia y Argentina, en el Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires) fue Juana de Arco en la hoguera de Arthur Honegger en el año 2002. Fue dirigida por Robert Wilson en Donna di mare de Ibsen en 1999, Un marido ideal de Oscar Wilde en 1995 en París, Hamlet, Madame Klein y otras.
Se casó en París con el universitario Nicolae Cutzarida. Tiene un hijo del director Christian Marquand nacido en 1972 en París.
