January PPM's

The January PPM's which covered January 3rd through January 30th are out and everyone is pretty much back to normal. Of course, WLTW took a major fall, going from the Holiday book 11.3 to this month's 7.2. Of course, that's still good enough for number one in the market. This year's drop off was not as great as last year's which went from 11.5 to 7.1. Classic hits WCBS FM was down a bit with a 6.2. That was good enough, though, for them to hold on to the number two spot in town. WBLS continued to hold on to the number three spot with a 5.7, also down just a bit. Z-100 (WHTZ) took a nice jump, going 4.6 to a 5.4 and firmly in the number four position. WINS took a nice little move up for the number five spot with a 4.5 tied with Mega 97.9 (WSKQ).Classic rock Q 104.3 (WAXQ) came in at number seven with a 4.3. WKTU, with their second down book in a row, came in at number eight with a 4.1. X96.3 (WXNY) also pulled a 4.1. WFAN moves from a 3.1 to a 3.7 and moves into the number 10 spot. WCBS moves up a tad in the number 11 spot with a 3.6. At number 12 is Power 105.1 (WWPR) with a 3.1. Fresh 102.7 (WWFS) drops 3.1 to 2.9 for number 13. WPLJ takes the number 14 spot with a 2.8. WABC is up just a tad to 2.7 in the number 15 place. Hot 97 (WQHT) takes 16th with a 2.5. At number 17 is WNYC FM with a 2.2. WNOW FM takes the number 18 spot with a 2.1, tied with WPAT FM who moves up nicely 1.3 to 2.1. And in the number 20 spot is ESPN 98.7 (WEPN FM) with a 1.6, down slightly from 1.8.

Cume-wise, not much has changed. WLTW continues to lead with 4,927,600. WKTU holds on to the number two spot with 4,544,700. Z-100 is third with 4,306,300. WCBS FM takes fourth with 3,425,900. Fresh is number five with 3,032,000.

The lowest rated city station is once again Gospel WLIB with a 0.5. They also have the lowest cume of any city station with 225,900.

Next book, the February book, is due out on March 18th.
