10 March 2013 Russia threatens USA with Nuclear attack - end times news update 3-10-13 MOSCOW — Russia has reported efforts by the West to block weapons exports to Syria. Meanwhile, Sunni rebels in Syria are acquiring Russian-made weapons from Serbia. A senior official said Western countries were using a range of means to stop the shipment of Russian weapons to Damascus. The official said, however, that the Kremlin has still maintained military deliveries to the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad. The Russian ships are lured into ports and arrested there under various devised pretexts," Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation director Alexander Fomin said. "When the ships are at sea, any insurance is canceled." In a radio interview on March 2, Fomin did not specify cases in which Russia failed to complete arms shipments. He said the attempts reflected an organized effort by the international community. "A real war has been declared against us," Fomin said. Over the last year, both Britain, Finland and Turkey reported the interception of Russian defense shipments to Syria, including radars and main battle tank components. Damascus has been one of the two largest Middle East clients of Russia's defense industry. Meanwhile, Sunni rebels have acquired what they termed a powerful anti-tank weapon in their war against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad. Rebels have displayed the RPG-27, a shoulder-fired rocket-propelled grenade launch system. The Russian-origin RPG was designed to penetrate the armor of Syrian Army combat armored vehicles, including the T-72 main battle tank. In a display in northern Syria, rebels also unveiled the RPG-6 launcher, another Russian weapon. The rebels said the weapons were deployed by the so-called Victory Brigade, an Islamist rebel unit that operates in the Hama province. Another Islamist rebel militia, Ahrar Al Sham, also displayed the RPG-27 and -6. An Ahrar spokesman said Islamist militias have been sharing these weapons as part of intensified coordination. The RPG-6 was said to have been manufactured in Serbia under Russian license. Earlier, Western reports asserted that Serbia was supplying weapons to the rebels in a deal financed by Saudi Arabia. Rebels said additional new heavy weapons were delivered to Islamist militias in 2013. They said the weapons, which include the Chinese FN-6 surface-to-air missile, were also financed by Qatar. Russia''s probable retaliation measures to the missile defense system also were on the agenda of talks which Speaker of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin had with French members of parliament in Paris Naryshkin stressed that Russia needs "guarantees backed by objective technical parameters that this system will not be targeted against Russia.... When someone tells us in words that this system is not targeted against Russia but refuses to sign a legally binding agreement in deeds, this certainly raises doubts in us," he said, insisting that security should be equal for all countries and indivisible. Naryshkin warned that Moscow "cannot twiddle its thumbs while its U.S. partners make decisions on deploying missile defense elements in Europe and putting them into practice.... But this is surely not our choice." Naryshkin said Russia will have to take measures in response to the missile defense system's deployment. It's common knowledge that, when it comes to protecting us from a nuclear launch by a major power such as Russia or China, missile defense has been found woefully lacking. Nevertheless, Moscow professes to believe that our installations in Europe are intended as a defense against Russia's nukes. When it comes to nuclear weapons, you have to keep your eye on the ball.

Monday, July 16, 2012 The UN Arms Trade Treaty that has been identified by observers as a flagrant threat to the second amendment and which Barack Obama is determined to sign has its roots in a 1961 State Department memorandum explains how the United Nations will oversee "complete disarmament" of the American people under the ruse of preventing war. The UN Arms Treaty has controversy because it outlines a plan to target "all types of conventional weapons, notably including small arms and light weapons," according to Forbes' Larry Bell. Former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton also warns the agreement "is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control." A letter sent last month by 130 Republican House members to President Obama argued that the treaty should be rejected because it infringes on the "fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms". The letter adds that "...the U.N.'s actions to date indicate that the ATT is likely to pose significant threats to our national security, foreign policy, and economic interests & our constitutional rights." Using the rhetoric of the threat post by terrorists, insurgents and "international crime syndicates," the UN is trying to imply all weapons somehow involved in illegal activity on a global scale and should therefore be controlled and regulated by a global authority. This is precisely the same language used in a 1961 U.S. State Department briefing which outlined a long term agenda to carry out a "Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World." Invoking the threat of nuclear warfare, the document spells out a plan to create a "United Nations Peace Force" that would "enforce the peace as the disarmament process proceeds." While the document focuses on scrapping nuclear weapons, it's clear that the only groups allowed to own weapons would be governing authorities, "for the purpose of maintaining internal order," and the UN "peacekeeping" force itself, which would require "agreed manpower." "The manufacture of armaments would be prohibited except for those of agreed types and quantities to be used by the U.N. Peace Force and those required to maintain internal order. All other armaments would be destroyed or converted to peaceful purposes," states the document. While the memorandum outlines a broader mandate to destroy national sovereignty, eviscerate national armies and institute the UN as the planet's supreme authority with a world army, the document serves as a stark reminder that the plan for the United Nations to oversee the abolition of the second amendment has been in the works for decades. Forbes article, the threat of the Obama administration relying on a UN treaty to do what successive administrations have tried but failed to accomplish -- taking a huge bite out of the second amendment -- is by no means far fetched. After all, a plethora of UN treaties and international agreements have already stripped the United States of its sovereignty and its power to decide its own laws. The power to authorize U.S. involvement in wars and conflicts has now been almost completely stripped from Congress and handed to the United Nations. Iranian authorities are nervous about expected unrest during the elections, and so have called on Russia to help prevent an Iranian version of the "Arab Spring." But Russia made its support conditional on signing a security treaty with Iran; Tehran complied last month. The agreement represents a break with an old principle in Iran's defense and security doctrines. Russia has been a source of fear and fascination for its Iranian neighbors since the 18th century. Several wars of varying magnitude proved Russia to be a threat, as successive czars dreamed of winning control of a port on the Indian Ocean — which meant annexing or dominating Iran. In Iranian political folklore, Russia has long been depicted as a bear whose embrace, even if friendly, could smother you. The dynamic persisted despite multiple changes of regime in both nations. Even after the fall of the shah and of the USSR, the Iranian tradition of keeping the Russian bear at arm's length continued under the Khomeinist regime. It's clear that a different fear has moved Tehran to abandon that tradition. The new security pact provides for cooperation in intelligence gathering and the fight "against terrorism, people-trafficking, and drug-smuggling." But it more significant is that it commits Russia to training and equipping Iranian security forces to deal with civil unrest. Tehran and Moscow are nervous about being hit by Arab Spring-style uprisings. Under the agreement, Moscow will help Tehran create special police units patterned on the 500,000-strong "internal army" controlled by the Russian Interior Ministry. There are other signs of change in Moscow-Tehran relations. Last week, Iran played host to Russian warships visiting Bandar Abbas on the Strait of Hormuz in what looks like the opening gambit for a Russian naval presence in the strategic waterway. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has always seemed keen on drawing the Islamic Republic closer to Moscow as part of his dream of a Tehran-Moscow-Beijing axis. But Russia has long played hard to get — mostly because Boris Yeltsin and then Vladimir Putin hoped to strike a deal with the United States, declining repeated invitations by the mullahs to pay a state visit to Tehran. Days after the Irano-Russian pact was signed, Putin announced that he had terminated security cooperation with the United States on the fight against drug trafficking, people-smuggling and piracy. Observers in Tehran say the change in relations is caused by several factors. Both regimes are involved in the Syrian civil war on the side of Bashar al-Assad's regime. Both believe that the "Arab Spring" is the result of "plots" hatched by Washington under the Bush administration. Both fear that the "velvet revolution" recipe for regime change could be used against them.

NASA/NOAA published a report in 2009 predicting a significant increase in solar activity peaking in 2013. An EMP takes out electrical grids taking out major cities very dangerous for mankind, This video is real footage of the sun using NASA's technology Dr Richard Fisher, the director of Nasa's Heliophysics division, is very clear in the quotes, and our reporter, Andrew Hough, was very careful to check his facts with Dr Fisher before publishing. It sounds like a lot of serious people think that this is a real danger. Apparently the concern is in 2013, the sun will reach a stage of its cycle when these large events are more likely. This might strike you as a bit strange, as you've probably heard (as have I) that the sun has been especially active for the last half-century or so and is expected to die down in the next couple of years -- I spoke to Marcus Chown, the physicist and author of We Need to Talk about Kelvin, who said "Solar activity has been abnormally high for the past 50 years, but the extremely feeble start to the latest 11-year cycle suggests this activity is coming to an end and things are going to be quiet on the Sun for quite a few years." Dr Ruth Bamford, a plasma physicist at the Rutherford-Appleton Laboratory, agrees: "The sun has been particularly quiet for the last few years in a protracted solar minimum. It has just woken up, as it were, and started its usual 11-year cycle a bit later than most." So what's going on? Well, something similar has happened before. In 1859 a huge solar storm burned out telegraph wires across Europe and the United States. Dr Stuart Clark has written a book, The Sun Kings, about when that happened. He says that the "Carrington flare", as it was known, "smothered two-thirds of the Earth's skies in a blood-red aurora a night later, and crippled all of global navigation and global communication, such as it was at that time. Compasses span uselessly and the telegraph network went down as phantom electricity surged through the wire." The sun had indeed been running at a record high for the latter half of the 20th century, and has now died down to its lowest level for a century. But Dr Clark warns that "average levels of solar activity has fallen does not mean that the Sun is immune from large flares or even giant ones. Low average levels of activity may even promote the giant flares. "Perhaps like earthquakes, when there are constant flares/tremors the energy is dissipated evenly over long periods of time. But in periods of quiet, that energy can build up and then suddenly be released in a giant event. This remains speculation, however." 2013 is when the next peak in the sun's cycle of activity is expected, and while we cannot predict individual flares, Dr Clark says that the largest flares are often shortly after the peak. Of course, if a proper "Carrington event" happens again, it has the potential to be far more problematic now than in 1859 when electric communication was barely in its infancy. Dr Clark says "There is absolutely no reason to believe that we are heading for solar armageddon in 2013, but sooner or later we should expect there to be another Carrington event and that is what these scientists [at NASA] are trying to prevent. Legislation in the US has just passed Congress to help harden the grid against solar flares." So -- it's a real thing, and we should be concerned. But preventive measures can be taken -- satellites can be sent offline during big flares, power grids and communication networks can be shielded against electromagnetic radiation and so on. As Dr Bamford says: "The extreme events like the 1859 Carrington Event are 1-in-100-year probabilities, about the same probability as a storm of the level of Katrina hitting New Orleans -- and New Orleans did not build their defences to withstand the extreme-magnitude. The Katrina catastrophy is small compared to getting hit with solar flares.
