World's Scariest Drug (Documentary Exclusive)
VICE's Ryan Duffy went to Colombia to check out a strange and powerful drug called Scopolamine, also known as "The Devil's Breath." It's a substance so intense that it renders a person incapable of exercising free will. The first few days in the country were a harrowing montage of freaked-out dealers and unimaginable horror stories about Scopolamine. After meeting only a few people with firsthand experience, the story took a far darker turn than we ever could have imagined. Krokodil: Russia's Deadliest Drug (NSFW)
A homemade drug called Krokodil is gaining popularity in Siberia and its effects on users are horrific. Krokodil is Russian for Crocodile, because of the way addicts' skin begins to get turn scaly, dry and eventually rot right off their bodies. Even most heroin users are frightened by Krokodil and want nothing to do with this terrifying drug. Breaking The Taboo - Film
Narrated by Oscar winning actor Morgan Freeman, "Breaking the Taboo" is produced by Sam Branson's indie Sundog Pictures and Brazilian co-production partner Spray Filmes and was directed by Cosmo Feilding Mellen and Fernando Grostein Andrade. Featuring interviews with several current or former presidents from around the world, such as Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, the film follows The Global Commission on Drug Policy on a mission to break the political taboo over the United States led War on Drugs and expose what it calls the biggest failure of global policy in the last 40 years. Tarantino - War on Drugs is Like Slavery
"Iconic film director Quentin Tarantino believes that US drug policy, and the subsequent mass incarceration of African Americans, is comparable to pre-Civil War slavery. In an interview about his latest movie—Django Unchained, which documents the story of a freed slave, played by Jamie Foxx—Tarantino points out that the hierarchies of racial injustice have shifted but not wholly improved. "This whole thing of...this 'War on Drugs,' and the mass incarcerations that have happened pretty much for the last 40 years has just decimated the black male population," says the filmmaker. "It's slavery...it's just slavery through and through, and it's just the same fear of the black male that existed back in the 1800s."* Quentin Tarantino, director of "Django Unchained" compares the war on drugs to slavery, saying it recreates an atmosphere of a fear of the black male. How else is the war on drugs like slavery, or Jim Crow? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian bring us the facts and break it down. *Read more from May Wilkerson/ Salon: www.salon.com Support The Young Turks by Subscribing bit.ly Support The Young Turks by Shopping bit.ly Like Us on Facebook: www.fb.com Follow Us on Twitter: bit.ly Buy TYT Merch: theyoungturks.spreadshirt.com Find out how to watch The Young Turks on Current by clicking here: www.current.com

YOUR LIFE IS ON FIRE
NO CLOUD MAY HARM YOU IN THE HEAVENS YOU ARE IN.
NO FROST MAY BURN YOUR HARVEST THAT YOU HAVE NOT BROUGHT IN.
NO RAT CAN BITE YOU, IN THE DEEPEST OF ALL SLEEPS.
THE FIRE IS INSIDE OF YOU.
TRUELY, THE FIRE INSIDE OF YOU!

Good Books - Metamorphosis
It is not very often that we have the opportunity to create a graphic equivalent of a drug fueled rant bringing all of our collective skills to bear. And it is almost unfathomable that we could actually do something like this and benefit a good cause.
The Buck team dug deep, channeling our inner gonzo, to direct and produce this homage promoting Good Books, the online bookseller that passes all its profits through to Oxfam. A big thanks to String Theory in NZ for bringing us this script, Antfood for their amazing audio stylings, to Thor for giving his voice and to all the artists who made this something we are proud of.

What you will see is an entirely fictional and completely unendorsed representation. [Though we humbly suggest Hunter S Thompson might have liked it.] We are devoted fans paying homage. No disrespect is intended.

Force-Fed Psychiatric Drugs Expanding
A woman named Julie Keith was unpacking decorations in her home when she came across a startling discovery. Revealed by Yahoo Shine on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, Keith was unpacking some Halloween decorations from last year when she came upon a letter tucked between them. The letter was a cry for help from a Chinese laborer. Found tucked in between two fake grave headstones purchased at Kmart, Keith found this letter which appeared to be from a Chinese laborer that made the decoration. His letter was a desperate cry for help.
