There are 150 people on the Island, so I have them to care for. But actually there are half million visiting the Island every year so there is a lot to do. We have had two schools here, we have had two pilgrimage groups here today, we have had a group of prison officers here today. I mean it all happens here. It's a lovely place for people to come. There was a lot of trading going on here perhaps before Aidan came here. But St Aidan founded the monastery here. He cam from Scotland, he came from Iona (Island of Scotland). And Iona of course is an island, so it's very much a home here for him. And he established a monastery and a small school, and the evangelism of the north of England and right into the south of England as well all came from Holy Island." 25. However I can say tourism on Holy Island is a big industry as far as the locals are concerned. Its what most people depend on for their income and everybody in busy" 33.
