For more information: www.icty.org The trial related to events which took place in 1992 in a prison camp near the town of Čelebići, in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. The four accused in this case, Zejnil Delalić, Zdravko Mucić, Hazim Delić and Esad Landžo, were charged with numerous counts of grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions of 1949 under Article 2 of the Tribunal's Statute and of violations of the laws or customs of war under Article 3. The victims were the Bosnian Serb detainees in the Čelebići camp. Delalić was alleged to have co-ordinated the activities of the Bosnian Muslim and Bosnian Croat forces in the area and later to have been the Commander of the First Tactical Group of the Bosnian Army. He was alleged in that capacity to have had authority over the Čelebići camp. The Trial Chamber found him not guilty on all counts, on the basis that he did not have sufficient command and control over the Čelebići camp and its guards to found his criminal responsibility as a superior for the crimes which they committed in the camp. Mucić was found by the Trial Chamber to be the Commander of the Čelebići camp, and he was found guilty under the principles of superior responsibility for crimes committed by his subordinates, including murder, torture and inhuman treatment. He was also found guilty of personal responsibility for the unlawful confinement of civilians. Mucić was given a total sentence of seven years. This project is about concealing valuables, secrets, bad habits and personal information in our workplaces. Here, hidden spaces/ messages were created within 8 general objects such as wood boards, lamps and disposable coffee cups.
Why doing this?
We all have the need of hiding.
We hide our valuables from being stolen, we conceal our past from our loved ones, we never show our real side to colleagues, we all have secrets. Or, sometimes we just want to keep something only for ourselves.
How?
Utilize stereotypes and visual camouflage.
We make judgments based mainly on our experiences and what we see. This dependency on visual information can create large blind spots. Thus, usual stereotypes of how we perceive solid, transparency and lighting are employed in this project to play with notions of ‘solid and void’, and ‘true and false’.

Father and Son
I was ambivalent about sharing this video publicly, but my Mother asked me to do it, so I will follow her judgment.
I made this video with and for my father, Larry Zander, who died a few weeks ago, on May 27, 2011. He was 78.
For those of you who knew my Dad, you will instantly recognize him in his natural habitat.
To those of you who never met him, just know the river was his Church.
He taught me everything of value, including how to respect others, and how to love and engage the Lord with my mind as well as my spirit.
He also taught me something that I only came to realize as an adult, and that is the immense capacity of the human heart.
You see, I didn't meet Larry until I was eight years old.
He was not my biological father.
When my Mother first brought Larry into my young life, quite naturally my first instinct was to resist.
Yes, resist this stranger who was not only showing my Mother a great deal of attention, but was also replacing me as the man of the house!
Resist both him and his attempts to love me.
I can't tell you when it happened, there was no definitive moment, but somehow I learned to trust not only Larry, but God, too, for I truly believe He introduced Larry to my Mother.
Both of them knew what they were doing, though I was too young to know it.
When I stopped resisting, only then did I find love.
Last summer I asked Dad if we could shoot this video with my new camera, and so we awoke before dawn - uncomfortable for me, but old-hat to my Dad, a lifelong fisherman!
We spent the day together up on Crystal River in Waupaca, Wisconsin.
During Christmas 2010 I showed him this video, not without trepidation. After all, I had selected Cat Steven's "Father and Son" to underscore the piece, and I was initially concerned that Dad wouldn't like the theme of the song.
When the video ended, I looked over at him sitting on the other end of the couch.
He was doubled-over, crying. He looked up at my Mom and simply said, "Play this at my funeral."
Which we did, on Memorial Day, in our backyard beside his trout pond.
Happy Father's Day, Dad. I will always love you.
And thank you for everything.

Every time I find myself the recipient of one of these late night phone calls, tramping through some back alley behind another dark abandoned warehouse . . . Stuttering another secret password. . . Entering another hastily constructed operating room. . . Scalpel in hand, performing another indescribable procedure . . . I see another pair of eyes . . . By now in the hundreds . . . Staring . . . Whenever I try to sleep . . . Another member of an unenviable audience. . . Asking a painfully simple question for which I have no answer . . . Why . . .
Cranston says I need to “detach”. I suppose he’s right. I can no longer bear their judgment. I leave them here. . . On the table . . . As I scribble my signature on the confidentiality agreement, I leave them to their fate . . . I say goodbye . . .
Canon HV30, JAG35pro, FCE4, Garageband, JES deinterlacer, Red Giant Quicklooks. Vivisection scenes were filmed entirely on a set built in my(Darrell) garage. Surgery tools and other props were acquired online or at swap meets. Dolly scenes were achieved with a motorized bluetooth dolly we built ourselves. All lighting were halogens bought from Home Depot.

He brought His judgment on the Northern Kingdom of Israel with an incursion into the land. The Assyrians caused astounding devastation upon Israel but were not able to topple it. Not until Israel responded in pride and arrogance and refused to turn back to God with its heart. Some time later God allowed the Assyrians, Arab people, to overrun - devastate and carry off into captivity the people of Israel. The 10 Tribes of the North were gone and lost. In Isaiah 9 we hear God's strange words of judgment upon Israel... "The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
