Joint Account -- s1ep1
1989 BBC sitcom set in the Home Counties with Peter Egan fresh off Ever Decreasing Circles playing house husband David Braithwaite to wife Belinda, (Hannah Gordon) whose job as bank manager of the county bank pits her against male colleagues like her chauvinist assistant manager Ned (John Bird) and the sinister area manager Rickles. There's also a female neighbour who takes a shine to David and a male lothario lawyer. The first series establishes the characters whilst in the longer and better second series, the couple face difficult choices which threaten their marriage. Although it never flows quite as easily as EDC, once it gets going it's highly watchable.

Home in a Wind Farm: Living with PSC approved setbacks in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin
The state of Wisconsin allows 400 foot tall turbines to be sited 1000 feet from non-participating residents homes unless a town or county adopts an ordinance which gives residents greater protection for reasons of health and safety. As of March, 2009 there is pending legislation which would strip towns, villages and counties of the ability to create more protective ordinances than those approved by the PSC. This video is one in a series intended to help our legislators understand why the PSC's setbacks and noise limits are not adequate enough to protect residents from noise, shadow-flicker and other problems associated with poorly sited industrial wind turbines.

We estimate the cabin to be built between 1800 and 1850. About 1900 a farm house was built using the cabin a part of the house interior. The walls of these old cabins used this way were usually covered with wide popular boards and you would not know an old cabin was hiding behind the walls until the boards were removed. I had one old farm house that was in the same family for nearly 100 years and they did not know until the house was taken down board by board that a cabin was concealed with in the walls. You will see this cabin at the end of the video. It has been restored and is also now in Franklin County, Virginia. We have one more very old farm house and have just discovered it also has a cabin within its walls. We will do our best to save it for other to see in the future. Floyd and Franklin Counties of Virginia are full of Appalachian history and we invite you to come visit our wonderful area. The counties have common boarder of the Blue Ridge Parkway and you could not ask for a more beautiful place to take a drive in the country. Nan Tom Taimín - The Home I left behind
This video shows historic picture images from each of the 32 counties of Ireland taken many years ago. I have a fine song being played in the background called "The Home I left Behind" and it sang by the ever popular singer from Connemara in Co.Galway, Nan Tom Taimín. A lovely song it is and I thought it related well to the images shown in the clip to remind the people born and rared in Ireland who left home years ago for far off lands. Hope you enjoy and all comments welcome ! Slán

First Home Lost in North Dakota and How to Access a Wandering River 6-23-11
Burleigh County Sees First Home Lost to Missouri River Couple Tried Every Method to Save Their Home and Lost By Mark Armstrong 6/23/2011 When I was driving on Hogue Island in late May the Magnus house was one of the homes putting up a fight. An earthen/sand bag barrier with plastic sheeting over the top was thought to give flood protection for what was known to be coming back in late May: an historic flood in the post-dam era of the Missouri river. Yesterday, as social media sites flashed pictures of the Magnus home, it was seen collapsing and crumbling into the raging Missouri river. The hopes and dreams of a young family shattered in just over a month of thinking that it could even possibly happen. Up Highway 83 to the north there is even more heartbreak. Listening to KFYR Radio this morning with Phil Parker and Jason Hulm interviewing Don May reporting about the potential for a 500-year or 1000-year mega-flood that will decimate the city of Minot. The Souris drainage doesn't flow into the Missouri river and yet record water events up north of our fight here has forced enormous amounts of water to spill through regulated system and protection in place since 1969. Some homes in Minot, including mobile home parks, are expected to be under 9-10 feet of water soon. Yesterday, Minot citizens heard the sirens warn them to move to higher ground. They took what they could. For many, this was the second time they have been evacuated in a month. The Fight in Bismarck/Mandan with ...

Arqiva - London Digital Switchover 18th April 2012
Just after midnight on the 18th April, more than seventy-five years of analogue TV broadcasts in London came to a close with the launch of a new high-power digital TV transmission service by Arqiva from the iconic Crystal Palace broadcast tower. Arqiva CEO, John Cresswell, was joined at Crystal Palace Broadcast Tower, by Mark Thompson, BBC Director General, to turn off analogue TV services to the capital. Crystal Palace and 52 relay transmitters across London and the Home Counties -- from St Albans to Dorking -- today switch to a new high-power digital system for Freeview reaching into five million homes across the capital and beyond. With 10 times the power of the current digital TV service, more than 400000 viewers in coverage blackspots across the region will be able to watch Freeview TV for the first time from the 18th April. Millions more will benefit from an improved digital TV signal and better reception across the fifty plus channels on Freeview, including HD. London's digital switchover is part of the UK's largest-ever broadcast engineering project. • Over five years, Arqiva has installed new digital equipment at over 50 TV transmission sites across the capital • At Crystal Palace a new 17.5 metre digital antenna, weighing 4 tonnes has been placed at the top of the 219 metre tower to replace the analogue and low-powered digital TV antennas • The switchover has cleared London's airwaves for the delivery of next generation, high-speed 4G mobile broadband services ...

Danú - Co Down
DANÚ are an Irish traditional music group based in an Rinn/Ring, Co. Waterford, Ireland, made up of seven traditional musicians, hailing from counties Waterford, Dublin, Kerry and Donegal. When you're out walking and there's no one near you But a voice keeps calling and you hear your name It's not the leaves or the whispering breezes It's me that's calling you back again Chorus Oh can you hear me? Oh can you hear me As you roam through lonely London town? When evening's falling you'll hear me calling Come on home now to the County Down Do you remember the fiddlers playing? The songs and stories, the whole night long? 'Tis little then that you thought of leaving It seems so strange now that you are gone Chorus Oh can you hear me? Oh can you hear me As you roam through lonely London town? When evening's falling you'll hear me calling Come on home now to the County Down The fish are dancing on Clanrye River The teams are sporting in old Glenvale My heart no longer can lead the cheering When you're not playing, it's a different game Chorus Oh can you hear me? Oh can you hear me As you roam through lonely London town? When evening's falling you'll hear me calling Come on home now to the County Down I'm always thinking that things are changing And that they're building a factory tall And young ones needed again in Newry But I still need you the most of all Chorus Oh can you hear me? Oh can you hear me As you roam through lonely London town? When evening's falling you'll hear me ...

Paxman nailed by Plaid Cymru economist
Paxo starts off in his usual condescending way towards anyone without a Home Counties accent - but quickly finds out he's not dealing with another Westminster cocktail set drone. Plaid Cymru's economic adviser, Eurfyl ap Gwilym, sets the arch Celtophobe straight on a few matters, whilst Jezza faffs about like a beached whale. 2:15 is where the real fun starts.

Opening of BBC Television Transmitter - Sutton Coldfield
On December 17, 1949, the transmitter at Sutton Coldfield became the first television transmitter to broadcast outside London and the Home Counties, bringing BBC Television to viewers outside of the south-east of England for the first time. MacDonald Hobley makes an in-vision announcement apologising for a technical hitch, then Syvlia Peters introduces viewers to the new transmitting station. This film footage is from the Archive Collection held and administered by the Alexandra Palace Television Society. www.apts.org.uk ~ APTS ~ Preserving the televisual past for the digital future

Wind Turbine Dealer 2 of 3 - Home Wind Turbine Dealers
www.WINDENERGY7.COM - - Be a Wind Turbine Dealer? You Become Wind Turbine Dealer in your community, a local Wind Hybrid System Dealer. We are forming a customer/dealer & distributor network. Dealership details and wind turbine dealer agreements are only available to customers who have purchased a system and want to then become a home wind turbine dealer. If you buy a system, you can become a dealer with no further investment. There's a very simple agreement and structure, all win/win. You must be committed enough to buy a system and learn from us about our wind turbines from direct experience. We take much time and great effort to educate customers and dealers all about wind/solar hybrid technology. Making dealership details available to customers only helps us to separate those who just look at opportunities from people who will act. WindEnergy7.com is granting dealer territory by county map. So the opportunity to be exclusive dealer for your county and surrounding counties is most likely still available. This is a first come first serve opportunity and counties are going fast to new dealers. Again, first step is to buy and install a system. As a turbine owner you are now really in a position to show and help others do same. As a customer of WindEnergy7.com you will be learning everything about home wind turbines and will become very comfortable with the technology. You will notice how interested friends and neighbors are, and how systems are so easy to sell. Once you ...
