Barrington quarry railway, Cambridgeshire, UK 2003 - Part 1
Barrington was one of the largest quarries in Britain. It was developed in the Lower (Grey) Chalk escarpment. In 2005 the remains of an Ichthyosaur were recovered from deep in the pit, a rare find in the Chalk. They are at the Natural History Museum. The site is a designated SSSI for the 'Cambridge Greensand' which lies at the base of the Chalk. The phosphatic pebbles are fossiliferous and have produced vertebrate remains. Barrington quarry was the last standard gauge quarry railway in the UK. Thanks to the interest of the quarry manager, John Drayton, and the volunteers of the Rutland Railway Museum, enthusiasts were able to experience steam working in a unique setting, courtesy of the Industrial Railway Society and Rugby Cement/RMC/Cemex. This 2003 video shows steam and diesel operations at the quarry. It also features detailed coverage of the 40 year old Ruston-Bucyrus 110-RB shovel and dragline. A second video will show winter operations in 2005 just before the quarry line was replaced with road vehicles. After producing cement at Barrington cement works in Cambridgeshire for nearly 80 years CEMEX stopped clinker manufacturing at the plant in 2008. The decision to turn off the cement kiln at the plant was taken as part of a programme to rationalise the company's cement manufacturing in the UK by transferring a significant proportion of Barrington's production capacity to CEMEX's other UK plants at Rugby (Warwickshire) and South Ferriby (North Lincolnshire), where the ...

Stolen car police chase - Cambridgeshire police onboard camera footage
Read more swns.com - A dangerous driver who narrowly missed hitting a train as he smashed through a barrier during a high-speed police chase from Peterborough to Whittlesey has been jailed. Terrence Fowler (20), of Peyton Avenue, March, was caged for three-and-a-half years for a string of offences carried out in a six-mile chase from Peterborough city centre to Whittlesey. Peterborough Crown Court was shown CCTV footage that revealed the terrifying moment on June 20 last year when Fowler crashed into level-crossing barriers at King's Dyke, Whittlesey, just seconds before a 120-tonne train travelling at 75mph went through the junction. Police began to chase Fowler on London Road after a red Mercedes he had taken from a friend to give a pregnant woman a lift into the city centre was reported stolen.

CHEMTRAIL RALLY 9th July 2011 DUXFORD, CAMBRIDGESHIRE
duxford.iwm.org.uk Good people of England. It is with a heavy heart that i have to tell you that foreign air forces, in collusion with our own air force and leaders, have been spraying our skies with deadly biological weapons for the last 10 years. The effect on our health and the environment is at present incalculable. Until now we have lacked the information and the fortitude to combat this ever-present evil. i am dispatching teams of sky watchers across southern England, whose contribution to the infowar, un-phased by public opinion, mockery and media propaganda, has been invalid, un-daunting and wholly effective. we have contacted the government, the air force and innumerable agencies having warned that unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock May day, a state of infowar would exist between us. i have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received and that consequently, this country is at infowar with the chemtrail operations. The battle of Britain has NOT ended. The chemtrail battle of britain has just begun. The Chemtrail Rally will be held from 11am, 9th July 2011 near Duxford airfield, Cambridgeshire to coincide with the Flying Legends air show. This is a massive public event near to London and being a former Battle of Britain airfield perhaps we can shame the air force should we encounter any unwelcome treatment by the authorities. The exact location will be revealed nearer the time for obvious reasons. I am appealing for help with this rally so please ...

Cambridgeshire Prt2 10th November 2009
Mark and Deana are primarily moving for the benefit of their sons, so that they can live in a better environment and have a better quality of life than where they are living now. The first property they view is in the village of Haddenham, just south of the Cathedral City of Ely. Set in the middle of the village, which has a pub, post office and various shops, the house has its own hidden secrets and its location is only an hours commute to London. Passing through the hallway, with its Victorian floor tiles, we enter into the living room, which looks more like a church with lots of glass and oak beams. The stone floor hides the underfloor heating, much to the surprise of Mark who thought he saw a wood burning heater, but which turns out to be a gas fire. With the couple being heavily involved in the church in London, this house should suit them down to the ground. Moving through into the kitchen produces another "Wow" from Deana, it was only completed some 18 months ago, so is virtually brand new, and large!!. Upstairs the bedrooms seem to fit the bill, and the master bedroom even has an on suite bathroom. With a 300 metre garden, the boys will have plenty of room to run around, and it even has its own little man made pond. The property is actually over the couples budget, but Aled says that the owner will accept an offer, so could this be the property they choose. This is produced solely to promote Aled and his music.

Cambridgeshire Prt3 10th November 2009
Aled takes Mark and Deana to meet Peter Carter, who is one of the last eel fishermen in the region. Peter shows them how the traps are made, and invites them to have a go themselves. Unlike the last programme, where we saw Aled sample some oysters, he didnt get to try out any eels.. Moving onto our next property which is on the outskirts of Christchurch, it overlooks open fields and although it isnt in a village, there is one not far away, which has a pub and a few local shops. The original deeds to this property date back to 1840, but as recently as 2002, the property was extensively refurbished to a very high standard by its current owner. With its wooden floors they first take a look in the study, which could be retained as it is, or turned into the music room they require. The living room is very spacious, and has good views out onto the open countryside. Through to the sun room, which also has underfloor heating, it is overlooked by a gallery landing, and is used as a living come dining area at the moment. The house has a huge kitchen, with a oak beam from a local church over the cooking range, it also has a belfast sink, and utility room too.. Upstairs the couple find more space than they know what to do with, with four bedrooms and the master even has its own dressing room and on suite bathroom. This is produced solely to promote Aled and his music.
