Life of Kurds under Persian Occupation in Iran
Written statement of Association of Human Rights in Kurdistan of Iran [ Persian occupied Kurdistan] --Geneva ( KMMK-G) on the Effective Participation in Economic Life for the Kurds of Iran to the 3rd Forum on Minority Issues, Geneva, 14-15 December 2010 The Association for Human Rights in Kurdistan of Iran would like to draw you attention on the economic discriminations facing the Kurdish People in Iran. While Iranian Kurdistan [Persian occupied Kurdistan] is, in terms of natural resources such as oil, agriculture, and minerals, one of the richest regions of Iran, this area is one of the most discriminated and impoverished of the country. The Islamic Republic of Iran carries out a policy of "dekurdistanisation" since it came to power. Young Kurds are obliged to leave Kurdistan with their families because there is no work. The authorities do not invest in developing enterprises or infrastructures. All the mineral and oil resources are extracted in Kurdistan, but exploited in the other Persian provinces. Furthermore, the archaeological discoveries are usually taken out of the area, impeding its cultural and economical development. Moreover, Gozinesh, is a practice used to marginalizing Kurds by expressly denying them employment in the State sector, as well as in parts of the Private sector. Such process legally impairs equality of opportunity and treatment for all the Kurds who seek job in the Public sector and to a minor extent in the private one. Any state jobs, whether a ...

The Kurds of Iran: A Look at their Past, Present and Future 1/10
The Middle East Institute is proud to host Carol Prunhuber, Sharif Behruz and Idris Ahmedi and for a lecture about the political, social and human rights status of Iran's Kurds, one of the country's largest ethnic groups. Iran's Kurdish population has long pushed for autonomy, and in 1979 Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini declared a "holy war" against the Kurds in Iran seeking self-rule. Since then the relationship between Iran's Kurds and the Islamic Republic has been characterized by frequent military crackdowns. Prunhuber will speak about Kurd leader Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou whose untimely assassination by the Iranian regime twenty years ago robbed the Kurdish nation of one of its most prominent and forward-thinking leaders. Her recently published book The Passion and Death of Rahman the Kurd: Dreaming Kurdistan (iUniverse, 2010) situates the life and political struggle of Ghassemlou in the wider Iranian political context. Sharif Behruz will address the impact of Irans Green Movement on minority groups like the Kurds and the need for Irans opposition to be more inclusive in order to gain significant political ground. Idris Ahmedi will discuss contending perspectives on the future of Iran with respect to its ethnic diversity. Is diversity a threat to Iran's territorial integrity, or a facilitator to the rise of meaningful democracy?

Iranian Kurds Fight Discrimination - Hope for Change
The Kurdish minority in Iran has for decades suffered discrimination and many Kurds have been thrown into prison and executed for seeking equal rights from the Islamic government in Tehran. VOA's Meredith Buel and Ali Javanmardi report that 'Arab Spring' uprisings in the Middle East and threats of military attacks to stop Iran's nuclear program, however, have given some Iranian Kurds hope for change.

With the attack of the mongols and turks most of the people there got "turkified" or "mongolzied". However some of those survived! ARYAN RACE www.aryanrace.eu The whole capitalist system is falling like a house of cards, a New World Order is essential for the survival of the human race and planet Earth. There will be two New World Orders and you must choose one of them 1. The Gorilian Corporate World Order based on extreme hierarchy, capitalism and speciesism. If you want to know what Gorilians are watch this video: www.vimeo.com 2. The Aryan Golden Age based on universal love, brotherhood and primeval trust. Remember that if you do nothing you will fall in the fangs and claws of the Gorilians. 'Germany's unforgivable crime before the Second World War, was her attempt to extricate her economic power from the world's trading system and to create her own exchange mechanism which would deny world finance its opportunity to profit.' Daf (tambourine) making in Iranian Kurdistan (Roj TV)
English subtitled Kurdistan -- In a village near the Iraq border. Faegh, a hawking player has three wives and 11 children. His work with his wives and children is to make musical instruments called Daf. Daf is the most famous Iranian music instrument with special connotation among Kurds. They make this instrument from sheep skin. The ceremonies for making such an instrument are very interesting and bizzare, at the same time. Faegh, his wives and children, after making the instruments, take them to the city and sell them to large stores for little money. They live in absolute poverty. They are very professional and skillful players and perform for very little money every now and then. Because of the prohibition to play any instrument the women in Iran play only in all female gatherings and male performers in men's. They accept trainees (especially children) coming from poor families and train them every night in order to learn to play Daf. This film is a pattern of musical lifestyle of this out of the ordinary family who's survival depends upon music and we enter into the life of this strange family by the excuse of music. They play this instrument on the birthday of an infant and as well as in the mourning ceremonies.
