The WP11SNS is based on designs Washburn used over 100 years ago. It features mahogany back and sides for a slightly more focused, articulate tone and has pearl dot fingerboard inlays.
It has a 24.75" scale and feature a natural stain finish, solid cedar top supported by quarter sawn scalloped Sitka spruce bracing, abalone rosette and standard Washburn rosewood bridge.
The mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 44mm nut and gold open gear tuners. These specs produce a nicely balanced tone perfect for fingerpicking and singer/song writers. The clarity of the parlor sized body is especially suited to recording and mic'd performance. Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 14

Emory Washburn
Emory Washburn (February 14, 1800 – March 18, 1877) was a United States lawyer, politician, and historian. He was Governor of Massachusetts for one term (from 1854 to 1855), and served for many years on the faculty of Harvard Law School. His history of the early years of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court is still considered a foundational work on the subject.
Born in Leicester, Massachusetts, Washburn attended Dartmouth and Williams before studying law. After establishing what grew to become a successful and distinguished law practice in Worcester, Washburn entered politics as a Whig. After serving several years in the state legislature, he was elected governor in 1853. Despite his support for a reform-minded agenda, he was swept out of office on the Know Nothing tide in 1854.
Washburn joined the faculty of Harvard Law in 1856, where he was a popular and influential figure until his retirement in 1876. His publications, in addition to his history of the SJC, include a history of his hometown of Leicester and numerous treatises on legal subjects.

Here is the Washburn 125th Parlor. It has solid rosewood back and sides and Sitka spruce top. Royal is finger picking "Hunkie Tunkie" blues (Charly Jordan 1930) and Jamming. The Parlor, a small guitar with big sound!
In response to our customers desire for a smaller instrument with the voice of a larger guitar, James Goodall has introduced two new elegant designs which comprise the Parlor series. The reception of the Parlor series at the 1999 Summer Nashville NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show was phenomenal.
Everyone was amazed at the fullness and richness of tone as well as their punchy clarity.
Some even thought they were as loud as a Dreadnought bodied guitar.
The Parlor series guitar has a shorter 25" scale length. It has a scaled down bridge, peghead and sound hole. It is available in a 12 or 14 fret neck joint with a non slotted peghead or an optional 12 fret neck joint with slotted peghead* and bronze patina Waverly tuners. The 12 fret model has a sweet, round and responsive voice similiar in tone to a classical guitar. The 14 fret model has a little more punch and clarity in the mid range, very similiar to our Grand Concert series instrument. The Parlor series is available with all the same fine options and wood choices as in all Goodall guitars.
