Volcom Europe 2011 Wild in the Parks Vienna
Volcom Europe 2011 Wild in the Parks Vienna
Back in Vienna! The last 2 years we have also been in Vienna for running a WITP tour Stop. Vienna is awesome. Good skatespots, funny parties and really friendly people, that's why we always appreciate the trips to Vienna. Saturday morning we arrived early at the skatepark in the Donaupark: It was like a home spot and as we remarked nothing changed. We even found some old stickers from the trip last year. At 11 am , the registration started for all the skaters 14 and younger. It was incredible to see so many kids entering the contest! There was more than 60 kids on that division. The registration crew couldn't believe that in Vienna are so many young skaters. We then continued with the 15 and older and the open division and the girls category. We also recognized a few familiar faces who already competed in the last years. It's great to see all those rippers growing up and developing their styles. After the registration we had a short meeting with the new judges before starting. Beside Heiko Jäger, our head judge, there were Julia and Ante, both supported by Volcom and really talented skaters. At 1 pm we started the contest with the first heat of the kids category. They gave their best to show all their tricks in this technical park. We saw flips, manuals, grinds and slides in the different zones. The category 15 + was next and we saw all the locals shredding their home terrain. They impressed the judges with bigspins, backside 360 and front flip down the stairs in zone 1 <b>...</b>

André Vásáry - Introduction
André Vásáry - Introduction
André Vásáry was born on 17th July 1982 in Debrecen. The talent of the now 29 years old young man was picked up on at a rather young age, but he started to train his voice pretty late: at his age of 18. He has mastered the know how of singing in Hungary and in the United States. The male soprano lage, which he sings is unusually rare even in the whole world. He would like to make use of his abilities in the genre of crossover -- in which different elements of styles are mixed, as for André, the opera with light music and pop respectively. The name of André Vásáry sounds familiar in the Hungarian and foreign circles of the musical audience. He won the Opera contest in Miskolc, got to the final of the international song contest in Rome when he could be seen in the Vatican TV by 160 million people. He played theatrical roles in the Pesti Theater and in the National Theatre, received invitation to the world famous Staatsoper in Vienna, was asked to participate in many international competitions (in Paris, Graz and Vienna). He is a regular performer of the domestic concert stages, festivals (eg Budapest Baroque Festival, the Hungarian Farinelli concert series etc.) and of foreign appearances (Adoro Tour, Germany). He also took part in the hearing of Ricardo Muti, who offered him a role. The level of the musical culture represented by him is well described by the facts that he has been invited guest artist of the Debrecen Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Ádám Medveczky, of <b>...</b>

READ BELOW AFTER WATCHING :) ———————————————————— Hello people! I'm glad I managed to upload something, because at first I doubted that I'll be able to upload anything. I have completely no idea what to write for the next JLE episode, so I might have to finish M&P first, if my JLE writer's block doesn't go away. LOL. Give me your thoughts on these? :) 1. Demi wanting Joe not to support her idea of going to London. 2. Camilla's fiancé? 3. On how Demi will tell Camilla and Joe about London. ———————————————————————— Europe was amazing :) I'm so jealous of everyone who lives in Europe. We arrived in Vienna before taking a coach to Bratislava, Slovakia. We didn't expect it to be snowing there, but it was—in fact, it was snowing heavily in the first few days. I heard the temperature reached -19 degrees, and so thank God so much for keeping us warm and not making us freeze to death. We're not used to that kind of temperature, haha. And to add on to the good news, my school choir clinched a Gold in the below 16 category! :) We got second in the category. And the difference in the results of our school and the winning school was just two points away, so that sucked; because us, Sopranos, screwed unexpectedly at our high part. TROLOLOL, but still, we got Gold. SO that's something :D How's everyone? I hate to lecture in the description box but just wanna add that: - I have a cartoon crush (Weird? US Open champion Tiger Woods is done for the year. After an epic 91-hole triumph, Woods announced he'll undergo surgery on his left knee for the fourth time. Tournament organizers and sponsors now look to prevent a ratings free-fall in Tiger's absence. [Paul Farhi, Golf Reporter]: "He brings in more people who care less about golf and more about Tiger Woods and what Tiger is going to do. So you can put Michael Jordan in his category. You can put any superstar there. But Tiger Woods probably transcends them all." This year's Ryder Cup played this September looks to be contested without Woods as well. @@@@@ Now to Euro 2008 for some dramatic finishes over the weekend. On Saturday, it was the youth of Russia coming up big, stunning the Netherlands 3 to 1 in extra time. Andrei Arshavin was sensational on the night, creating a score and adding another, as the Russian midfielders were simply too much for the Dutch. And on Sunday, Spain toppled World Champions Italy 4-2 in a penalty shootout. Spanish keeper Iker Casillas saved two penalties from Daniele De Rossi and Antonio Di Natale before Cesc Fabregas netted the winner. Spaniards had not cheered a major win over Italy in 88 years. Friday Night (Pop/Rock) (Live at Jammin Java) - Tom Lohrmann (Shot 1)
Thanks to my father for taking this video of us playing Saturday night at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA, right outside of Washington DC. Here is our song "Friday Night" from our debut album "The One I'm After". Free download here: tomlohrmann.bandcamp.com Here is the professionally recorded/mixed/mastered version of "Friday Night". It is meant to be used as one of many background songs for videos. I hope you enjoy it! This song can be taken in a few different ways. I won't say where I got the inspiration to write this one, but feel free to think to yourself about what the meaning is and how I got there. This falls under the category of background songs for videos as described by the Blueprint. This is also considered a song about romance. This song about romance delves into cheating and how badly it can affect a relationship. Songs of Missing Someone. Good goodbye songs. This is a great goodbye song. Tell that one person that you will really miss them with this track. Song about escape. Escaping your past. Escaping the mistakes that you have made. Escaping a bad relationship. a new reality.wmv
a new reality.wmv
I'm Erik, FeelingEUROPE Foundation, to keep a 5 minutes talk about how people can look at the coming new reality in order to proceed easier with another way of life. Europe can be signified as a continent (peninsula of Asia or also 'land to the North'), a myth and as an union of nation states. In this way or another, citizens of Europe are all personal involved in Europe's values and affairs. Therefore we have to act together if we will keep our achievements. Not only by institutional fixes, that's just a part of the answer, because the fixes will not stop multilateralism and multipolarity, but by having a primary feeling of attachment to Europe before and above any other geopolitical entity. Suppose man can stay alive for a period of 200 years in stead of 80 and he was born in 1811, than he would be really aware that lean and fat periods are inherent to life. He would have experienced: • a part of the great spiritual movement Romanticism, • rulings taken by the Congress of Vienna, • political upheavals, • sudden changes, • the beginning and continuation of several industrial revolutions, • wars, • the Great Depression, • until recently the 60-years lasting economic boom and the present years of fixing damages, the struggles to put the future on the scent, and the creation of the world wide movement 'Occupy', protesting against the dictatorship of the banks and the bad sides of capitalism. On one hand the bull, the many revolutions, set-backs, uprises and wars and on the <b>...</b>

Back Chat - Queen 1982
Back Chat - Queen 1982
Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1971, originally consisting of Freddie Mercury, (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (lead guitar, vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar), and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals). Queen's initial works were chiefly glam rock, heavy metal and progressive rock orientated ; however, with time, the band has incorporated diverse and innovative styles in their music, exploring the likes of vaudeville, electronic music and funk. The band digressed from using progressive themes in their music in the mid-1970s, with more conventional and radio-friendly works bringing them greater success. "Back Chat", written by bassist John Deacon, is the track most influenced by black music on the 1982 Queen album Hot Space. Deacon (who differed from his band-mates, in that he was the only one raised on soul instead of rock and roll) had chosen a no-compromise method of eliminating any rock elements from his songs for Hot Space. This act of defiance caused friction amongst fellow band members, particularly Brian May, who fought to retain some Queen sensibilities in their funk diversions. The band finally decided to include a guitar solo on "Back Chat" after heated debate. It reached #40 on the UK singles chart. The track would be performed on the Hot Space tour at a faster tempo, with a more rock-orientated arrangement. "Back Chat", the title, is an English idiom equivalent to the American phrase "back talk" (a phrase that is actually mentioned in the song <b>...</b>
