Release of  TAL-Elek7ro Version 2.50. This version improves the audio quality of the synth, especially for sounds > 10000Hz. To get better results, some non linear components were replaced with linear ones. Also the oversampling is increased to 4x- older versions had 2x oversampling.

Some presets maybe sound a bit different, especially self resonating sounds are louder with the new version. The previous version is still available for download for some time.
  • Improved audio quality, especially for frequncies > 10'000Hz (Version 2.5).
  • 4x oversampled filter - previous version was 2x oversampled (Version 2.5).
  • Increased self resonance volume (Version 2.5).
03.01.2010 Release of TAL-DUB-III v0.80b



Release of TAL-DUB-III version 0.80 beta. TAL-DUB-III is an easy to use delay device with some special features. Its no tape delay emulation and has its own sound. It has an alias free saturation stage, a non-linear 6dB low pass and a 3dB high pass filter that are included in the feedback path of the device. An input drive knob allows to adjust the saturation level. Pop-up menues show the current values of volume, delay-time and feedback knobs. A tab button allowing to adjust the delay time for live sessions.
  • Delay time up to 4 seconds.
  • Non linear 6dB Low-Pass filter.
  • 3dB High Pass filter.
  • Alias free stauration, adjustable with the input drive knob.
  • Delay x2 for each channel.
  • Synced delay times (1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1, 2/1 and trippled and dotted notes).
  • Pop-ups show the actual values dB (input drive, dry, wet), ms(delay), 0..2 (feedback)
  • Led-meter shows the sturation level.
  • Tab button for delay time.
  • Midi Learn for all knobs.
  • The feedback knob is especially optimized for doing infinite delays.

24.11.2009 Release of TAL-Elek7ro 2.00



Release of  TAL-Elek7ro Version 2.00. Version 2.00 has a lot of changes that also affects the filter and envelope character. Therefore we decided to make a complete new version of the plugin that runs parallel to previous versions.
Important changes are the new filter types (18dB LP, 24dB LP, 24dB HP, 24 dB BP) that have a smooth warm and almost artefact free sound. We also could reduce the CPU usage.



Bugfixes / Changes:
  • Completely new filter types, 18dB LP, 24dB LP, 24dB HP, 24 dB BP (Version 2.0).
  • Completely new envelope (Version 2.0).
  • CPU optimations (Version 2.0).
  • Version 2.0 runs parallel to older versions of TAL-Elek7ro.

18.10.2009 Release of TAL-Elek7ro 1.20



Release of  TAL-Elek7ro Version 1.20. Big improvements in the included U-No-62 24dB and BassLine 18dB filters. There was an issue in the volume correction curve of this filters. The oscillators now nearly have the same volume with low and a lot resonance as in the U-No-62 and TAL-BassLine plugin.

  • Volume correction in U-No-62 and TAL-BassLine filter type fixed.
  • The plugin now always checks the current sample rate before processing a buffer.

Lead synth is Tal-Elec7ro with some reverb and delay. I used P8 for the string synth and ran it through Tal-Chorus 60.
There's a cymbal loop that I used Tal-USE on to bring out more highs and turn down any sub."

Release of  TAL-Elek7ro Version 1.11. Includes some bug fixes and the awesome U-No-62 24 dB filter and BassLine's 18 dB filter.

I'm sorry for that fast 1.11 update. Had some free time today... :) This update does not affect the overall sound of the filters, its just a little detail in the non-linear filters stages that i had to improve.
  • Improved filter sound at high resonance (sounds a little bit more analogue now). (Verison 1.11)
  • New filter types (U-No-62 24 dB, TAL-BassLine 18 dB)
  • Hanging notes in poly mode fixed.
  • Possible click at the end of long release times fixed.
  • This update does not affect old presets.


TAL-Reverb 1.00



Final release of TAL-Reverb version 1.00. This updates enhances the sound of TAL-Reverb. Thanks to all user inputs that helped to improve this plate reverb effect:

19.07.2009 - The current project: TAL-Reverb

We had to read a lot of papers and already put a lot of work into this reverb effect. As always, the effect will only have few knobs for tuning and should be very easy to use (no early reflection stuff). The goal is to make a musical modeled reverb effect, that is suitable for all kind of audio material. There should be no artefacts also with short percusion sounds or peaks and the effect should use not much CPU.

A short demo mp3 with some test signals(short click, guitar, synth) and too much reverb ;) This demo shows the whole audio spectrum of the reverb without any equalizer:

28.06.2009 - TAL-BassLine version 1.4.0 released



Release of TAL-BassLine version 1.4.0. After some user feedbacks, that the filter in version 1.1 sounded better, we had to make some changes to the filter again.
The problem in version 1.1 was the aliasing, that occoured in the self oscillating filter(full resonance) at high cutoff frequencies with a 44100Hz sampling rate. Now we have no aliasing and a really good self oscillation filter sound, we think :)

TAL-Elek7ro is a virtual analog synth with some special features like oscillator hardsync and frequncy modulation. Including improved alias free oscillators, new developed fast envelopes and lfo's with a wide range from 0.1Hz up to 400 Hz. A free routable envelope with attack and decay is available too. This synth is useful for a wide range of sounds from percusion to deep bass sounds.

18.03.2009 - Release of TAL-USE alias TiltEq



After some trademark problems, TAL-TiltEq is now renamed to TAL-USE (Ultra Simple Eq). Also a bug with the RTAS adapter under OSX is fixed now.
  • New plugin name.
  • OSX RTAS Adapter issue fixed (GUI not responding)
Logic Pro users have to clear some cache files to get the new plugin name, but its not required.

Releases version 1.0 of TAL-Bitcrusher. Its a common bitcrusher with some useful additions. There is a low- and highshelf EQ and a noise cross modulator included. Its maybe useful on drums, especially hats and for distorted leads.

09.11.2008 - Important TAL-Vocoder update (version 1.10), VST and Audio Unit



We released version 1.10 of TAL-Vocoder that includes some important bugfixes. Fixes the preset saving problem in the VST plugin on MAC PPC. Fixes an initialization issue that could lead to loud noises in all plugin formats.

Version 1.10:
  • Fixes  issue with saved presets (only on VST MAC PPC).
  • Fixes feedback noise problem, that occoured on some systems (all formats).
For Mac PPC VST users:
There was a problem in the save procedure of the presets, that leaded to corrupt presets.  You have to delete and recreate presets from an older TAL-Vocoder version. If you use the VST 3 preset Manager of Cubase, you can reset the existing presets. Use Convert Program List To VST Presets and reset the folder so that Cubase would only see the factory presets from the replaced unit.

I'm sorry for that issue.

TAL-Vocoder is a vintage vocoder emulation with 11 bands that emulates the sound of vocoders from the early 80’s. It includes analog modeled components in combination with digital algorithms such as the SFFT (Short-Time Fast Fourier Transform).
This vocoder is optimized for voice processing and includes some algorithms for consonants to make the voice more intelligible.

26.08.2008 - TAL-BassLine version 1.2.1 released



Release of TAL-BassLine version 1.2.1. Improved filter sound while using a lot of resonance. The filter now sweeps up to 16kHhz. Self resonance isn't that loud anymore. Portamento is now easier to adjust.

Please notice that you may have to readjust the volume, portamento and the resonance intensity in older presets.

This is the last update that have influence to the sound of the synth. I think the synth sounds now as he should :)

Release of TAL-BassLine version 1.1.0. Improved filter sound and PW modulation are the main changes in this release.
Has a slight different sound as the prior version and uses a bit more CPU because the 2 x oversampled filter-  the old version is still available.

04.07.2008 - Some news to fill the summer slump :)

That picture shows the idea of the next project. I hope its finished in some weeks or months. Its an improved version of TAL-Dub and should have the following improvements:
  • Adjustable dirstortion stage.
  • Level meter to control the distortion value.
  • 4x or 2x oversampled.
  • Should be possible to make very clean but also very distorted delays.
  • A panorama pot for the output.
  • Some special modes.

24.06.2008 - TAL-U-No-62 Version 1.3 released



The update includes some improvements in the voice management. The number of voices is adjustable now. This is useful for saving CPU especially for notes with long release times. A panic button for resetting hanging notes is also available now.

27.05.2008 - All Audio Unit effects updated - OS X 10.5.1 compatibility



Changed all effect plugins, because apple has changed some things in the new AU validator that installs with OS X 10.5.1. To get the plugins valid, i had to remove the mono -> stereo routing. Hope that does not hurt to bad:
  • Fixed compatibility with OS X 10.5.1.
  • Removed Mono to Stereo routing.

24.05.2008 - Release of U-No-62



U-No-62 is an improved and completely refactored version of U-No-60. It's free as always. For people  that like the unique sound of the 80's synths. Improvements:

I'm currently working on an improved and refactored version of U-No-60, the U-No-62. This one should be more accurate and has a complete new fast envelope and an over-worked filter design. I will release VST and Audio Unit versions of that synth.

We released AudioUnit beta versions of TAL-BassLine.

We also changed the characteristic of the envelope a bit. The envelope is now harder and more direct. The changes doesn't affect the overal sound of existing presets.

The automation stuff took a lot of time. Now I'm working on the TAL-BassLine AudioUnit. It plays already MIDI, but there are still a lot of tiny things to do. The release of a first beta version will be next week, if no big technical problems appear.

Thanks a lot for your feedbacks. We released an update of TAL-Flanger. This effect didnt appear in hosts like Logic. This is fixed now. There was an issue in the info.plist files inside the component.

Togu Audio Line releases TAL-BassLine, a virtal analog bass synthesizer especially made for bass, acid sounds and effects. It’s based on a robust core and has the usual controls of analogue hardware synthesizers.

A unique -18dB low pass filter with a lot of asymmetric and random components introduce a warm and analogue sound. Very fast, non linear envelopes are also a part of this synth.

At the moment we work on a bass synth with a very fast envelope, a 18dB lowpass filter, arpeggiator and a lot of other features. Especialy made for bass sounds and acid lines.


24.12.2007 - Blank GUI (in older OS X VST hosts)



Good news for OS X people with older VST 2.3 hosts that have blank GUI's. I finally had the possibility to test the OS X plugins in an old Cubase SE 1 host. The OS X plugins seems to work now also with older hosts.

There are updates available for all OS X plugins.

TAL-Flanger is a easy to tweak stereo flanger effect with its own special sound and some asymmetric analog like components in the feedback corner. Useful for a wide range of flanger effects from subtle to extreme.

I tried to install OS X on a x86 PC for making universal binarys of my plugins for the mac users out there. But i couldn't install the soundcard driver and failed.

I think i have to find a way to get a real mac.
