I joined W3C in July 2000 as Conformance Manager. My work at W3C includes, but not only, these following duties

Past Roles

From March 2007 to November 2007: HTML Working Group, interim staff contact.

From August 2005 to September 2007: QA Activity Lead and QA IG chair.

From 2001 to August 2005: QA Working Group, staff contact, co-chairing with Lofton Henderson and chairing.

Bio

I hold in 1995 a DEA (Msc) in Astrophysics and Spatial Techniques at Meudon Observatory after a BSc in Physics at Montréal University, Québec.

I worked for various companies as web designer for Net-Partners, Calvacom and spent three years as webmaster/system manager/project manager in the education field at IUFM de Paris. I have been a technical director for a french Web agency: Angie Interactive.

I have also translated several W3C Recommendations in french as a volunteer.

Private Karl

I'm coming from a region at the north-west of France called Normandie. I have created a website about this region: Normandie Web (A whole site about Normandy. French only). I have also lived seven years in Montréal, Canada (1990-1993 and 2001-2005).

I'm living now in Japan, in Shimokitazawa (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo)
