Research Administration and Promotion

Organization for Research Advancement and Administration (ORAA)

Keio established the Organization for Research Advancement and Administration (ORAA) in October 2003 to further facilitate the full range of research activities undertaken at the numerous university facilities, by providing support to researchers, creating and promoting comprehensive, interdisciplinary researches throughout Keio University, and returning the fruits of such researches to societies.

Center for Research Promotion (CRP)

This center promotes interdisciplinary research activities as a general producer of industry-government-academia collaboration.

Intellectual Property Center (IPC)

As Keio University's Technology Licensing Organization (TLO), this center has a wide range of responsibilities ranging from management and operation of intellectual properties generated by the University to promotion of collaborations with societies on the basis of such intellectual properties.

The IPC has recently launched the web site titled 'Patented Inventions from Keio' that lists up patented technological inventions from Keio University.

Keio Advanced Research Centers (KARC)

KARC has active and flexible approaches towards the establishment, revision, and management of research centers. Its aim is to stimulate research activities in diverse fields while improving efficiency and speed.

Keio Incubation Center (KIC) (The site is in Japanese only.)

The goal of this center is to support and promote 'incubation activities' aimed at transferring the results of research at Keio University to other areas of societies.

Offices of Research Administration (Japanese only)

The Offices of Research Administration provide information to researchers in areas such as research resources, research environments, and opportunities for research subsidies from inside and outside the University (public calls for subsidy applications), and also offers a variety of other support services including negotiation and completion of contracts for joint or commissioned researches, management of research expenses and research spaces, and compilation and presentation of research results. The offices are located at the 7 campuses as shown below.
