Surfed with Zach and had an amazing lesson. Took lessons before and never stood up. First ride with Zach however, got up due to his beach lessons. Really really focuses on each person and what they struggle with. Very personal lessons way better than anyone else. You will surf by the end of the day!!

Aloha! I’m Zack. Growing up on the North Shore, the ocean was more than just a beautiful backdrop—it was our way of life. Like many kids here, my days were filled with fishing, diving, and countless hours riding the waves. In these waters, I not only found fun but also a deep-rooted respect and understanding of the ocean’s rhythms.
The North Shore Ohana School of Surfing is a family-owned business, grounded in these very traditions of our local community. While being a professional surfer is a gift, not every surfer can translate their skills into teaching. That’s where my true passion lies. I want to help you get over any fears, find the joy in surfing, and make sure that joy sticks with you long after our lesson ends.
