What you'll need

Glasses
Water
Food colouring

What to do

Teach your child how to mix two colours together to make another colour (for example, yellow and blue make green and red and blue make purple). To begin, fill up a couple of clear glasses with water. Then, allow your child to add drops of food colouring to make your colour mixes – you can use this part to teach older children basic addition. Your child will have fun experimenting – make a yellower green by adding more yellow than green, make a redder purple by adding more red than blue. Mix all of the glasses together to make brown!
