This week in Indianapolis, the NFL hosted its 8th Annual Women’s Forum. The program connects 40 women — 60% of whom are women of color — with leaders in professional football to provide insight and networking opportunities for their careers in the areas of scouting, data and analytics, coaching, and football operations during the two-day event.
-
Since its inception in 2017, 450 women have participated in the forum with more than 250 opportunities emerging at all levels of football. 29 clubs have hired past participants, and last year, all 32 clubs engaged in the forum in some capacity. This season, the NFL has 12 full-time coaches who are women — a league record and the most for any male professional sports league in the world. All 12 full-time women coaches in the NFL are at the Women’s Forum. #thefutureisnow

The Smart Heart Sports Coalition, represented by the NFL, the American Heart Association and Damar Hamlin’s Chasing M’s Foundation, joined together with officials from the Nevada Department of Education and NEVADA INTERSCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION at Super Bowl LVIII to announce Chasing M’s Foundation’s donation of an AED to every Title I high school in Nevada. While AEDs are one crucial component to protecting student athletes from sudden cardiac arrest, there’s plenty of work to be done to ensure all young athletes are better protected across the country. https://lnkd.in/eaK_kMUZ
