We are thrilled to welcome two Automatticians who joined the team in April! Tamara Niesen, formerly with Housecall Pro and Shopify, is now WooCommerce’s Chief Marketing Officer. Her team will collaborate with developers, partners, and hosts to democratize commerce and empower creators and merchants to reach their goals with beautiful, engaging stores. Tamara says, "After meeting a handful of people, I knew Automattic was a special place with an amazing culture. The culture is built on trust—Automattic gives team members the autonomy to manage their business, fueling their sense of ownership and passion." We are also delighted to welcome Saul Fougnier as Design Director for WordPress.org. Saul joins us from Red Antler, where he led multidisciplinary creative teams in building digital-first brands. At Automattic, he will lead brand and theme design for WordPress.org. Saul says, "I'm excited by Automattic's mission and dedication to open source, as well as the chance to work with kind and intelligent people I have met across the WordPress.org community."
