Passionate Team: One of the most inspiring aspects was meeting the dedicated individuals behind the scenes. From engineers to technicians, their enthusiasm spoke volumes about the company culture. 3. Sustainability Initiatives: Henkel's commitment to sustainability was bold. From energy-efficient practices to waste reduction strategies, every effort is being made to minimize the company's environmental footprint. Rather than a passive tour, we were encouraged to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the manufacturing process. Overall, my plant visit to Henkel was both enlightening and inspiring. I've also slowly integrated it into my daily mantra and communications with customers and colleagues alike. The reason? #Optimism is my compass. When it comes to timelines, technologies, or projects, I always see more opportunities than risks. However, I still play out various scenarios in my mind, ensuring I'm prepared for any situation. But this belief in the best outcome inspires me and instills confidence in others. In order to be innovative, you have to have friction and an open mind for trying things out, being a bit crazy sometimes, even (or especially) in #Marketing Getting first-hand data is always important to me - I'd rather try something than take someone's word for it. In January 2023, we launched the EU Marketing Department as a regional strategic unit, bridging global vision with local market needs at Henkel's Consumer Brands Division. Establishing a new department always comes with its challenges, particularly when navigating the unclarities of new ways of working. However, the dedication and collaboration within our team have been nothing short of remarkable. Together, we've turned these challenges into opportunities for growth, laying a solid foundation for future success. The team spirit we’ve cultivated is our greatest achievement so far, and it’s a testament to what can be accomplished when we work together with a shared purpose. A new department comes along with several changes and uncertainties that need to be coped with. This is where it becomes even more important to foster a healthy team spirit and actively drive the common vision: ⚖ 𝐁𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 -everyone in the team has their own professional and personal history and their own pace to deal with changes. 🎻 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮 - sometimes we feel very overwhelmed by facing new challenges within a new team setting because the old one felt just perfect. But the new team can be perfect or even better as well! Give it a chance. 【NEWS UPDATE】🏭 Henkel Group Advances Restructuring Plan to Optimize Operations 🔄✨ https://lnkd.in/dEzRATwn Henkel Group, a global leader in adhesives, has launched the second stage of its ambitious restructuring plan aimed at optimizing production, procurement, logistics, and warehousing processes. CEO Carsten Knobel confirmed that while some production facilities and warehouses will close, no plants in Germany are set to be affected. 📊 Key Highlights: Strategic Integration: The restructuring merges the detergent and home care segments with the underperforming cosmetics division, creating a more focused Consumer Brands business unit. Cost Savings: The initiative aims to save €525 million (approximately ¥4.39 billion) by the end of 2026, following the successful discontinuation of €650 million worth of low-performing brands. Positive Performance: Henkel has raised its sales and profit forecasts twice this year, reporting €10.813 billion in sales for the first half of 2024, with a notable 28.4% increase in adjusted EBIT. Knobel expressed optimism about the restructuring's trajectory, drawing a parallel to a football game, stating: "We are in the 37th minute." What we plan for ourselves isn't always what life has planned for us. In college, I majored in economics with plans of a career in finance. However, when my mom needed support in her skincare business, I shifted gears and joined her instead. She had secured the Asia-Pacific agency for Beaubelle, a Swiss skincare brand. My role in the company was regional business development and also to provide product training. After 16 years, I set my sights on breaking barriers for Malaysian skincare with the launch of B&B Labs. Pioneering professionally formulated cosmeceuticals with tribiotics and Asian bioactive extracts, we set a new standard. Immersing myself further, I pursued a postgraduate course in cosmetic science, deepening my skincare formulation know-how. Today, 26 years later, I've evolved from aspiring to be in finance to becoming a #skincare expert. Embracing change and consistency has been my mantra.
