My interviews with teachers about their experience at the onset of Covid19 revealed one common issue was the use of different digital platforms at the same time. The positive aspect was that teachers had taken initiative to test various tools to reconnect with students asap and minimise the disruption. That involuntary created issues of compatibility and of students moving across platforms. Teachers agreed to assess pros and cons of each tool, thus identified effective and consistent options. Their stories tell a twofold lesson: leadership was key namely school principals were behind this solution-oriented process; and students were crucial too with their advise on what was working and what not, some even helped to find a totally new tool.
