Nearly five years ago, two X-wing Starfighters hovered over Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, for the opening of the Star Wars-themed Galaxy’s Edge attraction, Rise of the Resistance. The Starfighters were two costumed Boeing Cargo Air Vehicles, the first remotely piloted large electrical vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to be flown in support of a commercial operation in the United States. Now, the public can see one on display at The National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia, gifted by Boeing and Walt Disney Imagineering R&D.

This is one of the final milestones before the Crew Flight Test launch on May 6 at 10:34 p.m. ET. Starliner will head to the International Space Station with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams on board.

Being an ENERGY STAR partner is all about teamwork. During 2023, we were able to achieve and sustain 11% lower energy use compared to 2019, thanks to ENERGY STAR's programs, resources and network. 📷: Before-and-after view of a lighting efficiency improvement project in our Developmental Center in Tukwila, Washington. This project represented one of the largest LED conversions in the utility's history. Projects like these directly support our journey to reduce energy use across our facilities and reach 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
