Gain Grow Retain Live in Austin didn’t disappoint. A huge thank you to Steffanie Biedler, Danny Villarreal, Kaily B, Millie Rana, Paul Schneider, and Heather Wendt for sharing their customer success expertise and driving some great discussions. And of course, a big shoutout to ChurnZero for their support and sponsorship! A few themes that stuck: 🔹 Verbal promises about CS value aren’t enough—get it in writing and refer to it regularly. 🔹 Retention still rules. Great customer experience is non-negotiable, and having a proactive strategy for upselling and renewal conversations keeps that revenue engine going. 🔹 Own the journey. Each part of the customer journey needs a clear owner. Defining who’s responsible at each stage avoid confusion, missed handoffs, and that frustrating cycle of asking for information that already exists. The Vanilla team had a fantastic time connecting with everyone—feeling inspired and ready for the next.
