About us
ETRO is New Tradition, the sum of artisan know-how and creative experimentation. The entrepreneurial venture began in 1968, when Gimmo Etro, the brand’s visionary founder, launched a production of highly prestigious fabrics using noble and natural fibres, which he embellished with original designs and innovative colour ways. In 1981 the furnishing textiles line made its debut. The Paisley motif used to enrich the first collection was set to become ETRO’s mark of identity. The product range added another string to its bow in 1984 with leather goods and the bag collection in Paisley jacquard fabric. The launch of the home accessories and complements collection, in 1986, and the creation of the perfumes division, in the late 1980s, consolidated the brand’s lifestyle concept. The 1990s saw the unveiling of the first men’s and women’s prêt-à-porter collections, their inventive and recherché style earning the label instant recognition. The materials, the workings and a special talent with prints are what make ETRO unique and unrepeatable.

#EtroAct Fall Winter 2024/2025 collection. Discovering is embarking without a map on a journey where chance encounters become decisive. How many adventures did Ulysses experience in Homer’s Odyssey, emerging unscathed from stormy waves to find himself in unknown lands? How many elsewheres did he visit, and how many human types did he meet? In ancient theatre, emotions and characters were synthesized and solidified by masks, changed on stage with changing moods. Some are here, blown up as wrecks, glorified as archeological treasures - another journey without a map, among the sediments of history - or miniaturized as necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Today Coty Inc., one of the world’s largest beauty companies, has signed with Etro a new agreement, to produce and distribute our signature fragrance lines and home scent collections beyond 2040. We will work together with Coty to explore new categories and innovations. Coty will assume the development, production, and distribution of all our perfumes and fragrances. Etro’s signature fragrance lines, from Shantung to Paisley, are symbolic of our passion for fusing iconic aesthetic beauty with exquisite designs. #Etro
