Introducing Lid Joy!
I packed my bags and my baby and went to Senegal to capture a story so sweet with a history so dark. For our new Lid Joy campaign, I returned to a little island called Goree off the coast of Senegal. The car-less island is where the door of no return lives; Some of our ancestors’ last devastating memory of Africa before being shipped across the Atlantic into slavery. Goree Island is a beautiful yet haunting place. It took me years and chocked tears to come here. But I knew that my return would be one of celebration for how far we’ve come, overcame, and the enchanting views ahead. I chose joy. Please enjoy these short film by co-created with talented, visionary, local Senegalese artists : Guiss Guiss by Pape Diouf, Bamba of Crack Code and photographer Tala Niang. It’s an honor I get to create such rich stories with products I love to create for people I love so deeply. Enjoy: https://lnkd.in/e7T4gUWK https://lnkd.in/em9xf7mk
