The Amazing Life of Atlanteans and Their Incredible Technologies!, by Aurora Ray, 9/7/23 https://lnkd.in/gmirB5iP The Atlanteans were highly technologically advanced beings and civilizations who inhabited an area stretching from Gibraltar to Iceland and were on par with early twentieth-century America. The Atlanteans, being a civilization that existed thousands of years ago, have left behind some wonderful records. According to Plato's account, Atlantis civilization existed approximately 9,000 years before his time (which would place it around 11,000 years ago, according to our current calendar). The first thing we need to do is define what an "Atlantean" is. The word "Atlantean" comes from the Greek word meaning "to live on top of." So what did they live on top of? They lived on the ocean floor! The ocean floor was once covered by a large landmass called Pangea, which was composed of all six continents at one time (Nordic-Europa, Laurasia, Gondwana, Paleo-Tethys, Afro-Tethys, and Laurasia). The Atlanteans lived within these lands until they began to rise up out of the watery abyss. Atlantis vanished in a cataclysmic event around 11,500 BCE. Their legacy lives on in the myths of many ancient cultures today. However, there are other accounts of Atlantis that suggest it may have been situated in other oceans, such as the Pacific Ocean or even North America!

🏛️ The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion or Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a former colossal temple at the centre of the Greek capital, Athens. It was dedicated to "Olympian" Zeus, a name originating from his position as head of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants, who envisaged building the greatest temple in the ancient world, but it was not completed until the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD, some 638 years after the project had begun. During the Roman period, the temple, which included 104 colossal columns, was renowned as the largest temple in Greece and housed one of the largest cult statues in the ancient world. The temple's glory was short-lived, as it fell into disuse after being pillaged during a barbarian invasion in 267 AD, just about a century after its completion. It was probably never repaired and was reduced to ruins thereafter. In the centuries after the fall of the Roman Empire, it was extensively quarried for building materials to supply building projects elsewhere in the city. Southeast Asian (ASEAN) "Land Bridge" 21,000 years ago. At the time, seawater level was 150 meters shallower compared today. The islands of Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and mainland ASEAN are connected with mainland Asia along with Indian subcontinent. Sundaland is made up of the islands lying on the Sunda shelf (Sumatra, Borneo, Java, Palawan, Gulf of Thailand and smaller nearby islands) and the Malay Peninsula. It is bordered on the East of Borneo and Bali. Palawan Island is considered to be part of the Sundaland. The Southeast Asian continent has one of the most complex geological histories in the world. The product of an ongoing collision between 2 ancient continents separated by an island archipelago, several distinct centers of biological diversity can be identified within a small geographic range (Indochina, Sundaland, Wallacea, and Papuasia), demarcated by the Isthmus of Kra and Wallace's Line. During the Quaternary Period, cyclical climate changes have affected the region in 2 ways: sea level change modified total land area climate change affected the geographic distribution and elevational zonation of forest types. Do you know that once Greeks , Indians , Mesopotamians, Chinese, Arabic, Africans everyone used to celebrate the same festival of "Sun: The life giver's" migration from Winter Solstice to Summer Solstice which occurs between approximately 20 December - 20 January Once upon a time, Christmas was a pagan celebration of this transaction. So is today's Pongal or Lohri or Marak Sakranti. Chinese New year is celebrated usually after 20th Jan. Which is the first new moon after the winter solstice is over. The practices changed over centuries with various civilizations, cultures evolving own method of calculating the transaction. Some followed lunar cycle some followed solar. But the essence is the same. Welcoming the giver of all life. Our Sun.

I will take you to one special place to make few more beautiful pictures - said a taxi driver during our vacations when we visited Ephesus in Turkey.  I honestly couldn't believe when I saw the sign: #ARTEMIS (Temple of ARTEMIS). It was such a fun surprise. Why? Because ARTEMIS - is a project in Danske Bank where I am taking part and help to implement some changes. So I was curious to read more about this Temple. Wikipedia was my source:) This Temple is 7th wonder of Ancient world!  It had been destroyed by 401 AD and only foundations and fragments of the last temple remain at the site today.  It also says that the Ephesian Artemis is a distinctive form of their goddess Artemis. In Greek cult and myth, Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo. P.S. #Apollo was another project already completed last year. Why I share this story?
