NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development, New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and New York City Housing Development Corporation today announced plans and partners to develop 200 deeply affordable senior homes with community services in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. We are thrilled to share that the development, named Weeksvillage, will be developed by CAMBA Housing Ventures, Inc. on underutilized NYCHA land within the Kingsborough campus. In addition to providing 200 units of contextual, sustainable, supportive, and affordable housing for low-income and formerly homeless seniors, the new development will bring a range of services for the community focused on improving health, fostering community, and supporting economic development. CAMBA will operate a health screening center, senior and community teaching kitchen, food pantry, and workforce development and small business center onsite.
