In 2021, researchers in Switzerland used a supercomputer to smash the existing record for calculating pi. Running the supercomputer for 108 days straight, the team calculated pi to more than 62.8 trillion decimal places, blowing past the previous computational record by more than 12 trillion decimal places. That's a lot of pi, but we're using Pi Day to talk about Amazon's AI advancements.

🔎 Last month, we introduced a new generative AI-powered expert shopping assistant named Rufus. Available in beta to a subset of customers, Rufus can help answer your questions on a variety of shopping needs, provide comparisons, make recommendations, and more – all within the Amazon Shopping app.
🆕 We’ve begun rolling out a new generative AI feature to help sellers streamline the process of creating product listings. Selling partners who already have their own direct-to-consumer websites can simply input a URL from an existing listing on their site, and our AI tools will automatically parse the information to help build a high-quality listing page ready for Amazon.com. It’s a really cool use of AI that we know will make sellers’ lives easier!
