Jayodita Sanghvi is a true pioneer in the field of healthcare AI. As I reflect on our last week of #WomensHistoryMonth, one voice in particular has really resonated with me: my daughter's. She asked me, “Why is there only 1 day in a month (International Women’s Day) for half of the population; is the rest of the year for men?” This thoughtful question has helped me reconnect with what is important to me: taking action. So I’ve taken this opportunity to set several action oriented goals for myself, both large and small, to recognize and celebrate the incredible role that women play where we work and in our society at large and to build on a movement that continues to drive toward equity. In no particular order of importance, I am sharing a few of the personal and professional changes I am making in my life - sharing makes me accountable (call me out, if you don't see me doing this:)) and I hope inspires others to take action as well: ♀️I will speak up about women's role in the world, but I will not limit it to this month.  ♀️I will share actions that I have taken or will be taking towards progress, starting with a very practical action that I took during this March: ♀️As a long-time participant in pantsuit nation, and yet, recently inspired by Frida's Kahlo's confidence in owning the more feminine side of attire and the impact that can have, I will look for opportunities to wear skirts and maybe even dresses during moments of power. I’ve already started this at conferences like my recent ViVE appearance and at Conference Board San Diego. Leadership can (and must?) start to look different if we want more equity. One way that can show up is in how we dress on stages often occupied by men.
