    An Easter weekend storm has slammed into Southern California, bringing more rain and mountain snow to a region already drenched by winter weather. The slow-moving storm was expected to unleash 1 to 3 inches of rain, as well as up to 2 feet of snow in the mountains above 6,000 feet of elevation, by Monday. There were no reports of major flooding or mudslides by midday Saturday. Forecasters have issued a flood watch through Sunday afternoon in parts of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles counties. The weekend’s storm is typical weather for March.

      Police in California say two people died when a small airplane crashed in a California town near the Nevada state line. The Truckee Police Department says a single-engine plane crashed while attempting to land at Truckee Tahoe Airport shortly after 6:38 p.m. Saturday. Police say the two deaths were confirmed but it was not immediately known how many people were onboard the plane. The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are expected to begin investigating the accident on Sunday. Truckee is located 32 miles southwest of Reno, Nevada.

      Most of California's fast food workers are set to be paid at least $20 per hour. A new law mandating the minimum wage increase for fast food workers is scheduled to take effect on Monday. The increase has been cheered by workers and labor unions who say it will provide a livable wage. But some business owners say it will cause them to raise their prices or lay off workers. California's minimum wage for most other jobs has doubled to $16 per hour over the past decade. University of California-Berkeley Professor Michael Reich says employment did not fall during that time period.

      Actor Chance Perdomo has died at age 27 following a motorcycle crash. He rose to fame as a star of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “Gen V.” A statement from a publicist said no one else was involved in the crash. No details about the crash, including when and where it took place, were immediately released. Perdomo most recently played Andre Anderson on the first season of “Gen V,” the college-centric spin-off of Amazon Prime’s hit series “The Boys." One of Perdomo’s most famous roles was as Ambrose Spellman, a lead character on “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”
