    We have earned our place for the third consecutive year on CDP’s 2023 Supplier Engagement Leader board for raising the level of climate action across our value chain. CDP, also known as Climate Disclosure Project, is a non-profit organisation that focuses on corporate disclosure of sustainability strategies and metrics. HEINEKEN reports every year on CDP for its climate and water strategy. Our active engagement with our strategic suppliers in Agriculture, Packaging, Logistics and Cooling has supported their transition towards renewable energy, directly impacting our scope 3 emissions. For example, in 2023, a total of 39 suppliers registered in the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (SLoCT), an industry consortium launching a climate school to develop suppliers across the value chain. In addition, as part of our Packaging the Future programme, 46 packaging suppliers are committed to Science Based-Targets to focus on increasing their use of renewable energy. We'll continue to make progress in creating a simplified and targeted strategy to further unlock Scope 3 carbon emission reductions in our operating companies. While more needs to be done, we take a moment to raise a glass and celebrate this achievement as well as the teams who made it happened. Together, we can #BrewABetterWorld!

    Brewing with the power of the sun ☀️🍺 Our brewery in Valencia, Spain just switched on a cutting-edge thermal solar technology, which is expected to prevent almost 1,300 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. This is in line with our goal to reach net-zero emissions across our entire value chain by 2040. The park consists of 6,000 square meters of mirrors and 182 Fresnel modules achieving a peak thermal power of 4MW. With more than 60 companies involved, the collaborative nature of this project is truly remarkable.     Spotted any of our e-trucks on the Autobahn yet? In partnership with Einride, we are introducing five electric trucks fuelled by renewable energy between our Den Bosch brewery and Duisburg distribution centre in Germany, which will reduce ~930 tonnes per year in carbon emissions. The project also includes the implementation of the charging infrastructure and an AI-driven operating system that will help to optimize this delivery route.
