Our Staff Demographics
Alongside The New York Times, we remain committed to diversifying our team at Wirecutter—and being transparent about it with you. That’s why we’re sharing demographic information about our team and our ongoing journey to enrich diversity, equity and inclusion throughout Wirecutter.
Women have consistently made up a larger percentage of our employee base, including our senior management team, than men, followed by a small percentage of nonbinary staff. Female representation has continued to grow.
Representation of people of color across Wirecutter has increased since 2019. Among our senior management team, representation has remained consistent in absolute numbers since 2021, though the percentage has decreased as that team has grown.
Across our full team, 14% of employees identify as Asian, 9% identify as Black, 9% identify as Hispanic, and 5% identify as multiracial.
We are continuing to make tangible progress toward being an increasingly diverse and inclusive company. But we still have work to do.
